- After my 1988 CRX Si B16A transmission failed, I decided to pull everything out of the engine bay, re-paint it, and swap in a B18C Type R engine and transmission.

As i told long time ago, your channel is so underrated 😮 ... I feel passion in your builds its amazing 😊 Cheers Bro...
I appreciate that!
Never a problem, just an opportunity to learn more and build better…you have a great attitude 💪🏻
Your attention to detail is just awesome and make watching those video’s like ASMR to me❤
I love Honda motors. They can be finicky at times, but overall they are relatively easy to tear down and put back together. I look forward to a new Honda project and maybe teach the kid a thing or two in the process.
This is exciting to see! I know you have been waiting on the engine bay to be done for a while.
Might take a little longer than I thought since now I have to learn how to fix this transmission.
@@crxseth looking forward to you tackling this task. I know you can do this. The gear sets come off and go on easier than you think. Also, just do one stack at a time, put everything on your bench in order of removal, and reverse the process with new parts where needed for the reassembly.
I know for sure that you've got this, bro!
Where can I purchase a hat a t-shirt or send a donation bro? Lol. Trust me, you deserve every bit of it and then some brother. Awesome work and awesome attention to detail as usual!!
I don’t usually have much merch available. Feel free to PayPal at crxseth@gmail.com! :)

Really good content
I am glad to see continuous progress in your cars. Regarding the transmission, there is Tall Pines Racing in NC, and the dude is very resourceful and knows what he is talking about with transmissions.
Thanks for that suggestion. You’re the second person to mention him. I may reach out and see what he says and recommends for me to buy.
@@crxseth No problem. I am glad to help.
That poor transmission man 🤦🏻♂️ when I got my gsr the transmission took a beating from the previous owner as well and needs a rebuild, you won’t have any issues with the hasport hydro conversion. Guys that had bending issues were really beating on the there cars, love the progress keep up the good work 🍻
Another awesome build. Its coming along great. Thanks for the videos
The details 👌🏼
Nice job. Really good to see progress. 🙂 The gearbox stuff is a pain, but maybe a good thing in the long term? These boxes tend to have weak synchros so this is a great opportunity to swap in new uprated ones.
Some day I'd like to do a similar refresh/build on my DC2, but since it's my one and only daily and I don't like long walks it's a way off yet. 😁
Sucks about the transmission. Honda street garage has a great tutorial for swapping to a LS 5th gear. That is what I used and you can rebuild the transmission from there with removing everything from each stack in order. Synchro tech sells whole 3rd gear assemblies
I can't wait to see the box restoration video.
To see if it would not be possible to recover the primary and secondary shafts from the gearbox of your B16 🤔.
There is a lot of good video on TH-cam to rebuid Honda gearbox 😉.
The B16A transmission is a cable transmission so the internals aren’t interchangeable with the Type-R transmission.
Seth on a Monday, let's go!
Sir. The chassis ground you bolted in at 1:46 wont do a damn thing unless you ground the paint down to bare metal. Gotta be metal to metal contact. If not, your going to have quirky/difficult to solve electrical issues. The bolt itself is not enough. Great work on this build so far.
The bolt is a ground bolt that cuts into the threads. I also made sure the threads were bare before I bolted it in for the final time. Thanks for the heads up!
cant wait for the next upload. i want more😊😊. good video as always.😊
You never fail when it comes to perfection amazing bro cant wait to see the crx moving with the type R
Seths all about them details
Looks like a moneyshift. But nice work. 👌🏻🇳🇱
Great job!!

Damn, If that engine bay gets any nicer you’ll have to start giving shout outs to Dan at terra firma & the boyz at jet-hot coatings..
Looking good bro. 🔥🔥
I love your videos!
Thank you!
Can't wait
11:00 OOF that transmission was beaten.
Premium content 👌
You going to sell this one to me too? Lol ❤️
I have to keep this ‘88 for myself. Haha.
I hope you go hush performance legit cable to hydro that current kit is old school
Your progress is looking good in my opinion!
Where can I find those hood cowl screw caps?
I reused my original ones. www.goldeneraparts.com sells replacements.
Where do you usually find these cars when you buy them I’m trying to find a eg sedan, and how much did you buy yours for ? 😁❤
Facebook mainly, but often people reach out with cars to sell.
Lol chewedddd uppp
