I gotta say bro for a small channel you got some high quality videos. Even better than some of the bigger channels out there with thousands of subscribers. Definitely earned my subscription and can’t wait to see the rest of the build!

I also want to turn mine into an overlanding rig, and I am so glad I finally found someone with the same passions. Great video 👍

I guess I don't understand the hate. I've used DT for years. Always been great, and that's at multiple locations across 3 different states. I just use offroad/adventure build shops for actual modifications. Love this vid. I've been looking at the ZR2 which comes with 285 70s, and I would go up one size like your 285 75s.
They literally ruined three of four wheels the last time I used them. Had to fight with them for over a month before they agreed to replace the three wheels that they trashed. The lack of awareness to do it on the first one, and then repeat it two more times is crazy to me. But thank you for watching, and for the kind words!
@@TrailTherapyNash Damn, hate that for you. I guess it's like anything else. One guy loves Fords because he's had nothing but good experiences. Other guy hates them because he's had nothing but trouble. Totally understandable. Looking forward to see how the lift changes things for you. Btw, I just moved from Nashville to Boulder, CO about 6 months ago. Love it out here. It's like the outdoor adventure Mecca lol.
Welcome to town! The ZR2 is a bad truck! And I believe it will take 285/75 on the stock wheel. If you’re on Instagram, hit me up over there. @musiccityat4
When I was fitting my 33's, I used a heatgun to heat up the inner wheel fenders, used a hammer to bend them while hot, and used a spray bottle with cold water to flash cool the plastic. Granted I have a Lexus GX460. After the heat bending and a (common for GX) body mount chop, no rubbing at all on my setup, and I was able to keep the inner fenders intact. If you plastic fender liners are still in the way, the heat gun method might work.

Hey dude! thanks for the video, I also just acquired a brand new 24' canyon and want to do an overland built on it so I will be following your channel!
you think 33's would fit on a stock AT4? From what it looks like the 20" factory wheel option comes with a 275/60R20 tire that is about 33" so I figure something like a 285/70R17 would fit great
Great vid! All good guidance for me. This is my first truck, also, the most expensive vehicle I’ve ever purchased just like you. I’ll be watching the entire build, I plan on purchasing the 2/1 CCE (Level up makes them), so our vehicles may be similar
I’m running a 17x8.5 with 0mm offset(factory is 17x8, neg12mm offset) KMC Riot beadlocks(red) and the Nitto Ridge Grappler 305/70/17 on my AT4X. No contact anywhere on full stuff and turn but I doubt you could get a pubic hair between the rim and brake caliper.
I bought a 2024 Colorado ZR2 mid March, and am planning on putting 285/75/17's on it using the OEM wheels and offset (to prevent rubbing). Seeing other guys have issues with rubbing, I'm convinced that keeping the OEM offset is key to fitting larger tires without issue. I think that with a little tweaking of the area where the spare is (slotting the tire heat shield mounting holes and insulating it, wrapping the exhaust there with Thermo-Tec, and slotting the hole on the rear tire stabilizer bracket), I can even fit the larger tire under there. It's only an extra 1/2" in tire radius for a ZR2.

@@TrailTherapyNash Much better clearance with the -12mm and 75 wall tire? Iv been told from many wheel shops that spacers are required with 0mm offset wheels and that we have to go with -10mm or -12mm anyways to avoid spacers and caliper rub.

It only rubbed under full lock, but it did rub pretty bad under full walk in reverse. I’ve now got the lift kit on, video on, that will be coming soon!
Awesome vid 🍻 2-1 level up will give you your clearance , I did that all to my 2023 AT4 prior to the wheels and Fuels syndicate -1 offset and had plenty of room Now I have a 2023 ZR2 Colorado with the 2-1 level up shackle and 305 methods with a zero offset and likely going 315’s soon with no worries of rubbing Will you be doing the shackle or add a leaf ?
Nice! Thanks for the feedback! I’m going to do the shackle for now, just for the ease of installation. But ultimately I’d like to overhaul the suspension completely.
Sweet truck! I don’t get the desire to push the tires out so far. I know it’s a personal preference, but I can’t stand that look. If you put that size tire on the factory wheel, they probably would have fit without rubbing, and in my opinion looked better. Beadlocks are overrated for what most people are doing. I used to run my Wrangler tires at 12-15lbs on 8” steelies and never lost a bead. Run my RZR tires on factory wheels at 9-11lbs. No problems.
Thanks! I think I probably would have preferred a zero offset for slightly less poke. That said, the way it sits doesn’t bother me at all. 12 pounds on Steelies is crazy, great to hear! Thanks for watching!
Great video and love the new look of your truck! I have a 20023 Black ZR2 and am considering the same rims, for the weight and Bead Grip. Couple questions...did you reach out to Method and ask them what gives with the 3-4 pound difference? Seems like quite a bit to be off advertising by. Also, did you check out Brink Wheels in your searching? They are flow formed and super light (legit), I just haven't seen many user out there with them for some good feedback, but they look nice. Thanks! Sub'd - Jeff
I work at discount tire, sensors cost 60$ no matter if you buy your tires with them or not, and why didnt you just keep the oem sensors instead of buying new ones?
I will never go back to Discount Tire. They had a bunch of weak teenagers working in the back a used putty knifes to remove the balance weights and scratched the black coating off of my concave wheels on my Escalade.
Because big tires make small holes. I don’t care about the warranty on my suspension components. They’ll all be swapped out completely before the warranty is even up. Thanks for watching.

Like the vid, minus the music. Idk if it’s the volume or music type. Food for thought.
Just two more inches.
I will never go back to Discount Tire. They had a bunch of weak teenagers working in the back a used putty knifes to remove the balance weights and scratched the black coating off of my concave wheels on my Escalade.
Why? Putting too big of a tires ? Why void your car warranty destroying your car wheel well
Because big tires make small holes. I don’t care about the warranty on my suspension components. They’ll all be swapped out completely before the warranty is even up. Thanks for watching.
Awesome truck.........however it will leave you stranded and is a money pit after 2-3 yrs!
This truck hasn’t even been out a year, so pretty hard to say anything about the long term reliability. But thanks for watching!
Any newer model Gmc/chevy products in general.@@TrailTherapyNash
So you went s whole 30lb heavier then the Oem wheels lmao FAIL 🤣
I did it just so you would leave this comment. Mission accomplished 🤘🏻😜🤘🏻
