Out of curiosity are the fenders the 2018 Canyon variant or the variant of some other truck? I have a 2022 canyon and I am just starting to get ideas for it.
Nice looking truck! How hard do you go Offroad? I’m looking to build my new to me canyon into a daily driver pre-runner, But I heard the bds lift kits and similar aren’t meant to handle jumps or serious off-roading. Thanks!
@@crimsonoffroad I was going to suggest a video on how you did some of your upgrades, especially your lights. Viewers/enthusiasts love that kind of content
hey brother how is the ride quality onn a 5 inch lift ? i have a 2024 colorado and wanna lift it 5 or 6 inches but ive been told i shouldnt lift it more than 3 inches cause ppl say it makes the truck drive like crap and raises the center of gravity but i just love the look any input would be greatly appreciated bro
Not sure if its the option he went with, but there is a GM Approved accessory that adds a module to your head unit and with mine if you hold the back button on the radio it turns on the front camera, it was by echomaster gm part number 19366656 , ....but supposedly was discontinued
Love this I have a 2021 High Elevation Canyon with a Super Pacific X1! I already have the BajaKits UCA I’m planning on getting the LCA too and a BDS 4” awesome to see anything Canyon related 🤘🏽
@@youngsoin9125 I haven’t honestly don’t think I’ll do the BDS any time soon, it’s just opening up a can of worms with all the other things you need to do with that lift. Plus I still have some warranty left I’m going to wait until after my warranty period is expired
@@mattheword thank you for your reply. And I totally get it. I bought a bds lift for my Yukon, but I never installed it. But I recently moved and there’s tons of trials near me and I want to get back into it. I also want to start pre-running again. @@youngsoin9125 yeah I had to be realistic I don’t need the BDS lift I’m not putting 37’s on. I mostly stick to forest roads, the occasional rock garden or rutted out roads. Didn’t realize those were stock, thx for the quick reply … again nice truck .. like what you’ve done with it. One more question, how did you install the mole panels on the center console? I’ve looked for additional videos, but nothing found? Thx
@@crimsonoffroad I just picked up a set and read online that they need to be installed at .045” depth instead of .095” depth and this is suppose to stop the whining. I cannot find a nitro install kit so I had to build my own from Gm parts. Is the whine really loud?
I’ve been debating between a gmc canyon and the Colorado zr2. I don’t do crazy off-roading but enough as I live on the island too. 🫡 out of curiosity what made you decide to go with the canyon? The lockers on the zr2 aswell as the dssv shocks make me lean towards zr2, but the towing and the overall look of the gmc I like better
Your tent model is the "Tim Horton"
😂😂
Great rig run down Malcolm. Really clean and purposeful build. Your electrical set up is very simple and functional.
Awesome what you did with the GMC, just bought a ‘23 Canyon AT4X, however love what you did with the ‘21…
That’s a fine rig. Super functional and looks deadly! It’s the perfect size pickup. Also love the proud Canadiana
That’s a good looking truck … lots of nice work put into that one. 👍🏻
Beautiful truck great set up i can't wait to start my over land build
Nice to see a Canyon for a change!
Yeah, to me the Colorado’s look less trucky that’s why I went with the Canyon.
@@crimsonoffroad the Canyon is beautiful. The front of the Colorado less so.
@@jeffreyjohnston6843the zr2 looks good but the other trims don’t look that good on the Colorado.
Just helped me buy a bunch of stuff for mine! Thanks!
Great to hear!
Great set up yeah 2.5 for the win in my books with the camper
I like your channel I’m from the island as well. My truck will be done in the next two weeks.
How'd you get the front axle to line up so well. Most lifts make it super angled on these trucks.
Good job. Nice truck!
I have a 2016 with 6 in lift and 35 tires same coler shark gray
Hell yeah I miss the truck in ways Hahha they are good trucks!
So glad I found your channel. Love the canyon. Just found you on Instagram!
great looking setup man. Thanks for the ideas.
Thanks! Spent a lot of time thinking about how I wanted to setup that truck!
Do you have a short bed? What bed cover are you using?
Great setup would love to replicate the bed and tent setup!
The truck looks good and great video and some good info much ALOHA 🤙🏾
WHERE DID YUO GET THE BLAK FOG LIGHT BEZELS, WANT THEM FOR MY 2022 CANYON AT4

I’m going to eventually do a whole lighting video of my truck setup! Stay tuned!

The truck looks great. Did you have to modify the flares are all? Everyone that produces these kits say they don’t fit the 21-22.
Well I have 37s on it so yeah lol

How did you go about mounting the front plate?
Drilled it thru the bumper lol
Is this the next best thing if not a Tacoma ? Going for reliability
Honestly better in my opinion and it’s at a way better price point.
Hey there!! I have an opportunity to buy a AEV rear bumper…was the install easy??
Yes it was!
lovely truck, I have the same one (21) and i think they look better and more aggressive compare to new ones
I completely agree! It was a good truck to me no issues!
Looks amazing!! Great job.
Nice to see the Canadian content! Beautiful truck, my daughter lives on the island thinking of moving there as well
You should!
Looks dope, I’m wonder what all did you have to do to set up those side and front cameras?

How difficult a job is it to swap the auto locking diffs with manually controlled lockers?
Had a shop do it they directly swap from a zr2

Nope

How did you wire up the front camera ? Is it connected to the factory radio or did you have to add an aftermarket screen

400ish km to a tank that’s a lot of mountain driving it’s better on the highway.
What cutting did you do to fit the 37s?
Lots ahhah I’ll make a video and show you guys soon!
Wheres the winch. Lol
