You did a good job with the video, tasteful mods. So many videos are horrible about showing anything. You actually demonstrated everything so again fantastic job. Keep doing what you love and keep up the videos. I know it's hard as a newer TH-camr with low subscribers. It just takes time. I'm curious what kind of watch are you wearing?
I've had so much fun with this bike over the last year - same colour too - very good bike to start with (thinking about upgrading to the Z800). Really enjoyed this video and the mods, my favourite though has to be those LEDs, they look great.
Nice mods! I've also modded my bike with 5 kilometers on it. Your LED lights have given me more inspiration and I thought I was finished 2 days ago.. Lol
Gregory A. Parker Sr. I live in the mountain region of Nj. Street lights are far and few even on the major highways. I am glad I was able to inspire you. one suggestion if you are going to install the Led lights get 2- 12 in strips for your rear tire. That will be much brighter and less wires to deal with.
That's a good idea. I'll use simple white LEDs with a remote like I have on my Dodge. Of course due to legal reasons here in Germany I can't ride around with the LEDs on, but that's a small matter. I installed a waterproof 12v power outlet for my navigation and when not in use I can plug in a dual usb adapter. Its hidden and fused. Now I need good weather and no traffic jams on the Autobahn!
I saw your videos great job on your mods. The dual USB are fantastic, I use mine for charging my phone and the 2nd one is a spare just incase. The weather is the same her, 2 weeks ago I was able to ride my bike in beautiful weather and 3 days ago we had a snow blizzard. Now I am waiting for better weather again.
The day you finish modding a bike, time to sell and get another one LOL. I have owned bikes for as long as 5 yrs and close to 60k miles, and never was finished witht mods. I always found some little thing to make the ride more fun. Some were cheap home mods I created myself, and some were basic off the shelf stuff. I always try to do mods that fit me and no one else has.To many just open the wallet and bolt onevery item in the book. I try to make mods that are useful, and make ride better ether safety(always first) or more comfortable. Amazing how you can run up the miles on a bike that fits like a glove.
Just installed the same usb thing onto my 16 650. You can actually just skip having to put on a toggle switch and fuse by splicing it directly into your left running light. It may sound sketchy but it actually works really well. It charges two phones without a problem. Doesn't blow the fuse or make the running light dimmer. It shuts off with the bike too so you don't have to worry about forgetting to toggle the switch off 👍
I haven't actually drilled the hole yet. Doing it all right now 😂 So that leads to my question. How do you like the position it's in. Do you wish it would have been somewhere different?
Awesome video. I do have one question. I also just got the Aura Opt7 lights for my bike. Do you know if there's any risk in leaving the switch on so you can use your remote? For example, if I go out at night, I may want to leave the switch on so I can use the remote when I walk out of my venue and have my bike lit up. However, I certainly don't want to run into battery issues. Let me know your thoughts.
Thank you. The opt7 lights I set up the feature I wanted and use the switch. I made sure the switch was right in the pit of the bike (easy access). I have never left the switch on but as far as i know, as long as you keep you bike on a battery tender you should be okay. The lights take up very little power (based on how many lights you hook up).
Love all your mods! I'm curious how you did the toggle switch hookup to the USB hub to the battery. A video on this would have been awesome because most vids are lame cause all they do is hook up the USB directly to the battery without a cutoff switch like you did.
NutNbutSpeed that was actually easy. I went to homedepot got a drill bit that was the size of the USB switch. Then I took a cable from my battery charger hooked one end to the battery. I then spliced another battery tender cable and put it on and reverse attached to the USB positive and negative connections. When I attach the cables it powers the cable. When I disconnected the cables, I use the one attach to the battery and connect to the battery tender.
I'm getting the Ixil exhaust because it looks and sounds great. Twin exhaust look should be different from most I see.(IXIL System Hyperlow XL Black Silencer )
Hey, great video by the way. Good job on all these little tweaks. You dont list what gear indicator you purchased, could you link me that? Also, how did you wire in the gear indicator? Great video! You should have made a video for each mod on how to install!
KawiJay Hi there, the gear indicator is the Heal Tech GI Pro in Red. I have it listed as #9 just I case you wanted a direct link. Install is very easy by a direct plug and play concept. There is a white plug in the rear under the passenger seat. Just run the wire from the front to the back and plug it right in.
Not a fan of the ghetto cruise control or the led's, good on you doing it all yourself tho. Also you should have just added a 10% tint to your windscreen, dipping it 100% doesn't seem like the best idea for visibility when not sitting upright. Have you peeled it off yet or is it not actually that bad?
Almac x the plasti dip was a temporary fixture. On my second video you actually see the new zero gravity sport touring tinted wind screen, the plasti dip screen was on for 2 weeks. in regards to the cruise control, it actually helps my hands from cramping when on my ride to and from work. My ride to work is about 1.25 to 2 hours each way depending on traffic. If kawasaki made cruise control for the ninja series I would have definitely got it.
If you spent some energy to "mod" anyone of the quality Japanese scooters; you'd be a beast. B.T.W., that cruise control gizmo is mad dangerous. But as long as you're happy...Happy on sis. :)
The cruise control only comes into play on my 1.25 hours or work commute each way. If I do use the cruise control it is only on for 2 minutes so I can shake out the cramped fingers. I am Happy all they way :)
Honestly go with a better horn, then replace the headlight bulbs, windscreen if you ride distance, then lighting on the bike if you are a night rider, muffler is a must, and then what ever your heart desires.
@@Arishi2181 ok you needa 10 or 100 ohm residtor in line on the wire that feds power to the bike ifi remember it's the gray wire as you need to lower the votage by 1-2 volts or the bike will not start it's the bikes anti thief system thats keeping from starting the bike with the auto start this has worked on my 06 09 and 12 650 I hope this gets your auto start working i would just put the resistor in line on the gray wire
Power commander is a definite with the exhaust- Sports bar on the other hand I might not change. I already have insane lower back problems from my top (size G), so I actually need to sit more in a upright position. If miraculously my lower back fixes it self then definitely sports bar.
Falco Rider there are only 4 items on the battery. Everything has a very very low energy consumption when in use. I do usually have only the USB and maybe 1 other item turned on when I ride. Good video. I’ve got a 2009 650r and I’m adding some of the mods you’ve shown for sure! Appreciate it.

Isaiah Uebelhart I love it where it is. I have my phone mount on that side and it makes it easier for me.
I wish my 650 had a gear indicater, nice work in such a short time with it, 2 thumbs way up 😄👍👍
Bayonetwork thank you
Awesome mods! Would love to try them out on my new ride soon.... Subscribed☺️

Same bike and colour as mine. I've modded a lot on mine as well.
Draig UK that is awesome
I don't have any vids yet..but you can see some photos on twitter. I'm putting a new exhaust and other mods on by the 15th. Love the bike.

Cool..... just subscribed 👌🏻👌🏻
can you review the Kawasaki Z650 when it will launch?
Bihari Biker it's insanely cold here. As soon as it warms up I will do a review. This is the EX650ef/g model.

Yes I am actually waiting for my LED Low/Hi H7's to come in. Once they arrive then I will install it with my sliders and sport touring wind screen.

David Elliott it is a HealTech GI Pro.
I have the same bike, abs model. With similar mods
Kevi Jones they are fun bikes to ride.
Did you install the gear indicator yourself? Just bought my 2016 yesterday and looking to add that feature.
Yes. It was very easy to do. Maybe 10 minutes in total.
What did you pay for it? Was it still brand new??
Hey! Great video! Just purchased this bike, stock abs. Where do I start? Lol
Honestly go with a better horn, then replace the headlight bulbs, windscreen if you ride distance, then lighting on the bike if you are a night rider, muffler is a must, and then what ever your heart desires.
When, I bought it was brand new. I picked it up at the end of the year clearance I got 2000 off.

I've got a 2012 Ninja 650. I've got it modded. changed sprockets. power Commander. neons. an sport bars. seat cowl. And a Vance & Hines exhaust.
Scott Lewis that is awesome on your mods.
