hey sorry I missed the last comment. Unfortunately I do not have the specs for those bolts. But as far as seating posititon it will depend on your body type. I am 6ft. so having the bars alittle bit lower and forward helps me stretch out. But the reality is that the longer rides will always be more comfortable in a more upright seating position, just because you don't have to hold the tank with your legs as much and there is less weight on your arms
Curious to know if the bars can go lower than that to have a more leaned in position like a SS bike. Was planning to get a 650 if it was, or save up more for a ZX6
i am sure this answer is too late now, but for what it is worth the bars pretty much only have two positions...with the spacer...and without...no actual angle adjustment like some clipons would have...if you really want to be leaned over you should go for the zx6. but in that case you are really getting a completely different kind of bike than what the 650 is. Hope it all worked out for you!
You skipped the video of the part where you flip the banjo bolt. What exactly do you mean by flip the banjo bolt? It was hard to tell from the video and I'm sort of a newbbbb.
so basically the bolt that goes through the banjo hole, you want it to go in the opposite side.....basically just flip the brake line so that the flat lollipop looking metal piece at the end of the brake line is now facing the opposite direction
sorry to be so off topic but does anyone know a way to log back into an Instagram account? I somehow forgot the login password. I would love any help you can offer me.
@Chase Jefferson i really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Nice, great video. Say, was there a spec for the pinch bolts for the bars to the center , the 5mm ones?? i Don't have instructions with mine, also thanks for the 4 clamp bolt lengths. mine came with the risor i may not use.
Nice video, did you have to bleed the brakes after flipping the banjo bolt? Did the front brake lose any effect from air getting into the brake system? How is the clearance without that riser installed? Safe riding 👍
Thank you! Did not have to bleed the brakes after flipping...but there was some loss of firmness at the lever, so I did bleed the brakes soon after as I was due for a brake bleed anyway. As far as clearance...without the riser, unfortunately you have to angle the brake and clutch lever slightly upwards, which can be uncomfortable, however with them angled upwards i do get lock to lock steering. I just wanted the difference between the sport bars and stock to be as drastic as possible.
@@mikesantoro42 Thanks for the reply! I need to change my notification settings, I missed it. That's cool, I wanted a more leaned forward position too on my 2013 Ninja 650. I have kept the riser on and have not flipped the banjo bolt yet because I am waiting until I plan to bleed the brakes. I have actually lowered the front of the bike though. Did this by raising the forks about 1.77 inches. Raising the forks lowers the front end of the bike. It leans me forward more without taking the spacer off or changing the lock to lock clearance because the whole front end goes down. I do want to eventually flip the banjo though. I can turn all the way to the left but it does bend that banjo cable a little.
JoelSc14 No the rear is not lowered. I’ve been considering it but ended up not getting a lowering link. Edit: I held off on the rear lowering kit because I read online sometimes it would rub the shock or side of the seat when you sat down. Or the license plate would almost scrape the rear tire. I have a Motodynamic fender eliminator kit (highly recommend) so the license plate scraping may vary. I did change the rear shock resistance to lowest tension though. So when I sit the rear of the bike does drop more. There is 7 settings, I have it on the lowest. You can change it with the provided tool in the carrying bag under the passenger seat. Also forgot to mention I read more negatives to handling with the rear lowering kit.
What’s the difference between the 09-11 sport bars vs 11-16 sport bars just the spacers I’m assuming right and if so all I have to do is flip the banjo if I chose the 09-11 sport bars I have a 2015 ninja 650 abs just wanna make sure
that is all it appears to be, however I don't know for sure. On the off chance that there are other differences in the kit, you could always do what I did and buy the appropriate version for your bike and just dont use the spacer...you will have to buy other bolts though. The one thing I would say is that although I like the position without the spacer much better, I am growing to hate the fact that I have to tilt the levers up to get lock to lock...so it may come in handy to buy the version with the spacer just in case you decide to use it
definitely possible, but more than likely it is going to be more trouble than it is worth. but that type of custom stuff isn't really my strength to be fair
Yep, ive got to do this... Stock bars feel a bit wide/muscle/cruiser
Do you know where I can buy those sport bars ? Ninja650shop seems offline
Ugo Mazier ninja650 discontinued, try ebay or amazon
👍 nice, reply whether the change of sports bar changes seating position that gives odd feel or comfortable on long drives.

sorry for the late reply...if you didn't use the riser you can use the bolt spec I have in the description . 4 M8 bolts, 25mm long, 1.25inch pitch
1.25 mm pitch. That’s a metric bolt.

Do you think it is possible to install a stabilizer on this sport bars?
definitely possible, but more than likely it is going to be more trouble than it is worth. but that type of custom stuff isn't really my strength to be fair
