There is no designated launch control on the glc 43‘s. But you can turn off traction control and set it in sport+ mode. Hold down the brakes firmly with left foot and floor the throttle. Let go at about 3000rpm. Launches pretty hard :) with these auto transmissions there is no proper launch control as with a dual clutch :)
In switzerland is not equipped, you have to pay some premium and check the box when ordering to get this option. But in france that might be as standard! Maybe ask your dealership. They will know.
This is with the optional AMG performance exhaust. I drove both with and without exhaust. Huge difference. New (better) sound video is coming soon. Stay tuned and consider subscribing.
There is no „proper“ launch control as woth the 63‘s. You just have to select the amg dynamic traction setting, set everything to sport+, hold the brakes firmly and floor the throttle! Once some revs are built up, release the brakes and off you go. Second gear hits in pretty agressive!🤤 enjoy!
To get those pops, you have to accelerate hard in a low gear (2nd or 3rd) and lift off the throttle in relatively high rpm (over 5000) then it pops really loud.
I just checked it on the french homepage of Mercedes. There is really no optional exhaust. Could be that in france the exhaust is already included in the base car. I guess it would be the best if you ask your local dealer directly.
I prefer the sound even though it‘s not as lound as the older one. But has a nicer and deeper tone to it. Interior is much better with the new infotainment! And outside it looks way better because of the redesigned bumper and exhaust tips. But engine is the same (has jut a different tune with bit more power).
@@drivenunfiltered4243 cool sounds alot louder in the videos than the older ones maybe its because its deeper like you say. Im getting a 17 plate 43 this week. Its got the 63 exhausts and grill though. Just looking at some new 22” alloys
Then you already got the looks ;) the exhaust is really loud. But i think if you measure it the older might have more db...the deeper sound could really make it feel louder. i think the performance difference is not significant consiering it‘s a SUV. I‘m working on a second, better sound video :) stay tuned for that one.
I hear the new EU regulations forced Mercedes to lower the sound and emissions of the exhaust a bit, but imo it still sounds great. I’m told it sounds a little louder in other countries. I’ve got one coming in June here in the US so I’m excited!

I'm in France and I don't see sport escapement as an option?? Is this already equipped on its basic version 43?? Thanks

that wasn't launch control as it doesnt have it.
turn off traction control + put it in sport+ and you can mimic it, basically 90% the same thing.

Yes it‘s the stock sound with the optional AMG Performance exhaust
