    Ozempic is a GLP-1 RA(Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist).
    Mechanism of action.
**Ozempic binds to glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor and has the same impact as GLP-1.
**Slows down digestion or gastric emptying
    **Decrease appetite and craving
    **Increases sensation of fullness.
**Stimulates the release of insulin from the beta cells of pancreas to lower fasting and postprandial blood
GLP-1 is a 30 amino acid peptide hormone produced in the intestinal epithelial endocrine L-cells and parts of the brain. Rapidly metabolized and inactivated by DPP-IV enzyme.
    Cost $935.77 per month
Side effects: vomiting, bloating, abdominal pain, headaches, gas, constipation, diarrhea, heartburn, muscle loss, hypoglycemia, hair loss, Ozempic Face
Serious side effects: Thyroid cancer, kidney damage, gallstones, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions.
    Natural Alternatives
    1. Berberine-increase production and secretion of GLP-1
    2. Probiotics-increase GLP-1 secretion. Akkermansia municiphila secretes P9, and this protein stimulates GLP-1 production and secretion.
    3. Psyllium-soluble dietary fiber which will increase short-chain fatty acids which will my be helpful in increasing GLP-1
    4. Curcumin-enhances L-cell numbers promoting and increasing GLP-1 secretion. Also, may prolong gastric emptying, increase insulin sensitivity.
    5. Ginseng-bioactive ingredient called ginsenosides stimulates secretion of GLP-1, anti-diabetic effects.
    Januvia is a DPP-IV inhibitor
Natural DPP-IV inhibitors were found to be resveratrol, luteolin, apigenin, curcumin and flavone
    Dietary changes:
Increase dietary protein and quality fats
Ketogenics diet, Paleo diet, AIP diet

I started walking an average of 5 miles per day at a brisk pace. I’m feel much better after 6 months and I’m sustainably losing a pound a month. Made some diet adjustments earlier, about 9 months ago. The whole effort has reduced my weight by 22 lbs, with 6 more to hit my target. I’ve noticed appetite reduction in the past 3 months.

Love your videos always but those supplements will not have anywhere near as much of an effect as any of the GLP-1 agonists on the market. I've tried all those supplements and I experienced some pretty milquetoast effects on weight loss. Plus good quality versions of those supplements will also be pretty expensive but maybe have 1/10th of the impact of a GLP1 medication. Thankfully I live in Australia where our medical system doesn't rob us (as) blind as it does in the U.S.

Years ago, doctors prescribed amphetamines for weight loss. That didn't work out. Then, in the 1990s, there was fen-phen, which helped many people to lose weight until they discovered it caused heart valve problems. I think that the current crop of weight loss pharmaceuticals, like Ozempic, will, eventually, be shown to do more harm than good. We'll see.

    • @geauxp

I'd add high dose omega 3s to any supplement weight loss list.
Doesn't hurt it has a crap tonne of other benefits too and is cheap.
Also undenatured whey protein isolate 2x per day.
The best pharmaceutical for fat loss would be t3(triiodothyronine). Cheap, super effective, mild side effects.

Using the alternative herbs and supplements you've mentioned in your video, do not cost just $100-150, ginseng, a good quality type, is very expensive, besides, ginseng must take in the morning, as it gives the effect like caffeine. After combining all the various ingredients you're mentioning, the cost for a month would be more than you speculated. As anything has side effects. The milder the better for prevention negative effects.
