I'm Portuguese my father is from alcobasa (don't know how to spell ) but I lived in foster care fore years in America b4 he and I Reunited now I don't know my own language my whole family speaks so u teaching helps cuz ik Brazil Portuguese is NOT THE SAME .thank u for helping me with being able to speak to my family unfortunately I lost my Vo a few years back and thx to God I was with her from birth then ad a adult I was about to see how special she was ik she loved me as i luv her still

Thank you very much for this useful language. It is not wise to go out in the city and use it to everyone we meet, but it is very good to think it as hard as we can, especially when we encounter that difficult person who always manages to annoy us, can we think how much we love him at that time? I am really surprised not to hear the words "namorado o namorada" that are very used no Brazil, but much more surprised to realized that the verb Amar is used in a different way than that I know from brazilian portuguese "Eu te amo", as in the way I use in Spanish, "Yo te amo".
Namorado e namorada also exist 😊

I wonder if 'xuxu' is derived from the French 'chou' (= cabbage). 'Mon chou' and 'mon chouchou' are standard terms of endearment in that language.

Eu tenho uma pergunta? Porque traducao: Their monkey drinks milk, translates in Portuguese to O macaco " delas" e nao "deles" bebe leite?
"O" macaco suggests masculino and "delas" suggests feminina. Nao entende
"Delas" (de + elas) is the possessive referring to 'Their' not the monkey. In this case 'their' is feminine (a group of women).

Yes. In Portuguese from Portugal, you can’t say that. It’s not correct. You have to say “amo-te”. You will only invert it when it is part of a question or when there is a negative, like “Eu não te amo” and so on... :) I hope this helps :)
