i'm trying to repair mine hx90, the mainboard is linked to the battery, if i try to connect the charger to the mainboard , mainboad previously disconnected from the other components, i can't see any led blinking...can be a problem also with the mainboard or this board must be connected to all the other parts (working parts) to start blink or charging the battery?Unfortunally my camera fall accidentally in saltwater during a vacation, and i try to fix the problem.After dismantle all the parts, only the board under the finder appears to be damaged by the salt...i try to power the camera excluding this board, but nothing happens :( I don't know if is just a problem of that little board probably damaged...or is also the mainboard damaged.
You could see how the external flash works if I can (ni pin) Did I measure the voltage between the skate and the middle one and nothing? What kind of circuit can I want, I want something for the macro, but not the lights are always on
Nice tutorial! When I turn on my Sony Cybershot G DSC-HX50, "CYBERSHOT" appears for a tenth of a second, then "select language" appears. Everything stops here. I can click OK but the camera won't start. It doesn't go any further than "select language". Any idea what the issue is?
is the ok button working? maybe the control buttons are not working and its just not clicking ok. try clicking it a few times harder might be bad contact on button.
+Otherstuff Hello again, Yes there are 3 fuses on the front of the motherboard and 1 at the top on the rear of the motherboard. 2 of them are mounted just below the rear control cable connector, they are marked KI, SJ, the one at the bottom of the board is marked IJ. The one on the top rear is also marked SJ. I have seen another HX50X board with not the same lettering, You can test them with your meter,,, Good luck trying to replace any bad ones :o) Andy..
I have a sony camera, model DSC-HX20V. That now he cannot remove the lens. The camera did not fall, it is more take 4 photos and turn it off. When I turned it on again, the lens didn't come out. The camera does as to open, but does not succeed. And then I get a message to turn off and turn the camera on again. What can be?

I could only find the whole flash module on ebay it would be totally unnecessary - but wanted to know from you if there is another way :) Thanks!
would be the same process as lens replacement. once you remove the lens you can remove the flash to replace it. yes just buy a good one on ebay and replace it. th-cam.com/video/irPYW9QDMTk/w-d-xo.html
Nice video! i have a question, The lock of the flex connector for the lcd display was broken while closing. The camera is sony tx100v. So will it still work if i push the lcd ribbon into it and hold it with a tape? Or do i need to replace the flex connector. I mean is the lock required to make the connection?
if it just came out of the hinges with no damage it can go back on. you need a magnifier glass and lots of patience. you have to line up all the wires in the little connector holes then push it in the click at both ends. i have done it with success. if not.. there has to be some type of pressure on the cable. i have also used clear tape to build up the end of the cable so when the cable goes in it has that pressure. that has also worked. that retainer when flipped puts pressure on the contacts. it will not work by simply putting the cable in.
Linux & Other Stuff - i used a small piece of paper and it made the connection real tight. So my touch seems to be working now, i can hear the beeps when i tap the screen. But the screen is dark and i cant see anything. The backlight cord is connected correctly. Please let me know which part should i check. Its a sony dsc tx100v. Thanks!
Hi, my hx50 is showing please turn off and on again and flashing e:62:20... I have disassembled the camera.. I get above errors even when lens unit is removed.. any ideas? Service centre guys are saying its a lens problem and it need to be replaced.. but as the same error is shown when lens is removed, I think it must be something else. Jfyi, camera had fallen on ground
how can I clean the memory card terminal on the camera, I get error C:13:01, I tried different memory card, reset the camera to factory settings and not luck, I think the terminals are dirty.
them connector self cleaning everytime you pull the card in and out. it might be frosted connections on the cable from the card board to the main board. frosted means, the cable contacts are gold and get a thin film on then from moister and can not longer make contact. i have seen this even on the CCD cable. if the cable contacts look dull then they have a film on them. they should look bright gold shinny. clean them with light scotch cloth move only in the direction of the contacts not cross them. th-cam.com/video/zPSdZxHpALA/w-d-xo.htmlm51s
I got it, it's working again, it was on of the connectors that make contact with the memory card, it was a little bent and wasn't making full contact. That's the second camera that I fixed with your help and videos. Thanks, you truly saved me a lot of money. Your are the best.

could be many things, cable contact corrosion, bad flash, bad motherboard, bad flash capacitor.

if the lens is removed the camera can not communicate with the lens and think its stuck. replace the lens.
