Jammy, I think it is important to recognize that Balayya's target audience isn't from Hyd, but from rural AP and Telangana. He makes films primarily for them because they enjoy this genre of films the most and those regions make his producers the most money.

Yup wanted to say this. Hyderabad might have fans of ballayya but that ia nothing compared to Andhra areas where there are hoardes of fans. It felt wrong to ears when jimmy said it’s made for hyderabad single screens, no it’s made for all of andhra theatres.

I like how Jammy grew to accept Balayya for what he is. Jammy started with absurd and problematic, then went to loud & over the top and finally landed on calling him a Genre (with problems). Now he just goes to watch him on day 1. This is pretty much the life cycle of any new Balayya fan today.

Imagine the son character played by some other actor and balakrishna stick with his veerasimhareddy character,it would have been good. He has the potential to act and he has the mass appeal if used correctly . The fans are the one who placed him in top place and same is the reason for the downfall or the rockbottom.

@@jayn1668 every actor who is loved nowadays is because they consistently produced good movies with really good acting. Maybe not in the present time but in the past. If u see Mahesh babus filmography nowadays it is absolutely trash, but see movies like okkadu , athadu , khaleja , 1 nennokkadine were some movies where he actually gave brilliant performances. Nepotism is present in tfi but only until the first one or 2 movies. If u don't have talent u simply cannot survive. Eg- Naga Chaitanya has literally almost zero popularity whereas his dad nagarjuna truly had the determination and passion(still does tbh) despite being a great actor's son himself which was what made him successful. Balayya himself used to showcase brilliant performances but just that now that he is into politics and to cater to his fanbase , he is refusing to do experimental roles(he should tbh. He has the talent, just need to choose better scripts)

Great intro...would love to see you talk about bit old commercial movies with big stars from each state where there was also focus on story and execution along with elevations. Having said that Akhanda surely did mellow down or maybe I started looking at NBK with different angle altogether. Boss whatever this man does on screen has a sheer level of conviction and what panache. I mean the magnitude of his aura in his own head and the people he works with is on another level altogether, So much so that even I was looking forward to Veera Simha Reddy. I mean Jai ballaya dance number from akhanda doesn't seem funny or crass to me anymore that's the kind of change. This man has something in him guys, Look at the opening of this movie, What numbers are we talking, It's mind boggling!
@Tried&Refused Productions you can't get the actual context of this movie and you can't understand the dialogues of this movie.. The dialogues are very straight for AP politics and how the AP govt is ruling now. People of AP who are unhappy with the ruling party are whistling in the theatres and cheering for those dialogues. I accept the movie is quite illogical in fights and the casting is quite odd ... But still the man has that mass vibe and that euphoria which makes it special .

Most of movies from top heroes in tollywood are commercial movies..and fans go crazy for their fights...recent years we have been seeing some very good movies.. mattuvadalara is a comedy crime movie..nandi,itlu maredumilli prjanikam movies by allari naresh are an absolute gems to watch..gamyam,vedam by Krish are fantastic..so we have mix of mostly commercial movies and some movies with really intriguing stories..and yes not all tollywood movies are masterpieces..same with any industries..it all boils down to the local culture and their taste

I saw your video couple of days ago and felt compelled to share this with you… watch Aditya369, bhairava dweepam, Sri Krishna arjuna vijayam… Bala Krishna has some of the most creative movies in his filmography…I think his choices more recently are to ensure commercial viability of a project than experimenting as he is at that stage of his career… he makes movies that provide minimum guarantees for his producers and others involved in making, distributing and exhibitions. Personally not a big fan of NBK but with him you get what you see… no fake facades like lot of other movie stars.
the double standards is a scientific mystery: when a southern movie has cliched plot, characterization , 60 year olds romancing women half their age, it is called "mass" and celebrated but when a Bollywood movie does it is considered deplorable, misogynist, brain-dead etc etc. Literally the same movies have been releasing from past 20 years yet...
Because Bollywood love to give Gyaan and south takes cinema as just entertainment.
So even people of south take cinema as entertainment and don't give a fuck about age gap bla bla...they are playing those characters and that's all matters for us.

When you describe about white people threatening in English and them answering in Telugu- when I went to watch the movie in theatre (outside of India), surprisingly, there was no subtitle! Usually, it is available. I was skeptical, since I do not understand Telugu without subtitles. But as I got into the movie- it did not matter.. I knew exactly when to enjoy and which scene to enjoy- thanks to all the Telugu audience here... Jai Balayya.. Jai Jai Balayya! 😎
It all started when directors/story writers in TFI inspired from real life factionism and killings happened in then Andhra Pradesh especially in southern region of Andhra Pradesh called Rayalaseema. As movie lovers people all over the state were very much entertained by these movies especially when lead actor is Balayya❤️. As a Rayala Seemite I felt overwhelmed watching Balayya deliver a dialogue praising Rayalaseema region for its continued legacy over our state.
