Very well said....totally agree on this fact! 1. Back in the day number of people in film industry were less and we being in 2020 have very less rumours and stories about that era. The industry was so enclosed that big stars and artists didn't even allow new talent to step in, which lead to almost very less competition. That's the reason all the actors, actresses, singers, directors had long span of career and are considered legend today. (Not saying they were not talented🙏) So, when it comes to awards of that time obviously they look pure if we compare to awards (TV shows) of today! 2. Ironically people who don't attend awardshows today are the one who can't dance. 😅 (Ajay, John, Nawaz) And others who attend it even though they cry out loud about these awards still they attend because they pay them really well for their performances and it is an earning season for them. 3. Kangana was stuck in traffic that's why she didn't get an award was hilarious🤣 This showcases that award shows are so serious about punctuality 😂

I'm 80 born 90's kid , there were only 2 awards national and Filmfare, we use to be so mad for Filmfare awards whenever calendar changes we use to look for dates when will be the Filmfare thru newspaper, I still remember there use to be huge hoarding opp Bandra station Mumbai mostly dates were end February, and we guys use to tell others that Filmfare is on so and so date. That too live it was such a fun.

After Darr, Deol was really miffed with Yash Chopra for sidelining him & promoting SRK. They parted ways post that tiff and Deol never did any film with YRF ever.
Sunny Deol also won the National award for best supporting actor for best supporting actor. He was not nominated for Darr at all. Srk was nominated for best villain for Darr.

I even feel that International Awards like Oscars, Grammys and Emmys are getting biased these days... Billie Eilish is talented but I definitely didn't feel that Bad Guy should have won Song of The Year in the category where there were nominees like Always Remember Us This Way and Norman Rockwell. Also the song Speechless from Aladdin should have been nominated for Best Original Song, but was just shortlisted. I swear it was a far more better song than Spirit from Lion King. I'm 80 born 90's kid , there were only 2 awards national and Filmfare, we use to be so mad for Filmfare awards whenever calendar changes we use to look for dates when will be the Filmfare thru newspaper, I still remember there use to be huge hoarding opp Bandra station Mumbai mostly dates were end February, and we guys use to tell others that Filmfare is on so and so date. That too live it was such a fun.
