@@ravitejakntsyou mean like he shot people right.?
The "they're friends" defence is absolutely ridiculous. No matter how close you are to someone and how playful you are with them, there is a time and a place to act like that. Maybe at an interview, if one pushes the other, yes, you could grasp at straws and say that they're just having fun. But being on stage in such a formal setting, one is expected to behave accordingly.
I agree with you partially. But not all stages are professional. Atleast pre-release events in Telugu Industry, they don't try to keep them professional. Many actors had fun on stage and people even became emotional, etc. If that is the dynamic they share, may be its fine, but we never know what's the truth.
Yeah, may be but the thing is rich people have there own issues and tantrums. This incident looks like that.

Human beings, particularly women are conditioned to avoid scenes in public, very very few people can even react at the moment, it takes time for things to sink in. Which is why usually victims are blamed saying - why did you not say something then, etc etc. Its a classic victim blaming excuse used when in reality usually people take days or weeks to even process these things and have the courage to react.

This reminds me of the controversy around Premalu heroine Mamitha Baiju and director Bala. She said in an interview that during the shoot (of the film from which she opted out later), Bala used to hurl abuses at her and even hit and pinch her for not performing as he wanted her to. When people began to criticize Bala for his behaviour, she came to his defence saying she was okay with it. This is the most disheartening thing: women having to defend their abusers who are in positions of power.
in fearing the backlash and them getting labelled 'tough to work with' : So much is internalised rather than deservedly called out
It's a sad reality. Even in Malayalam film industry a women who is strong bold and vocal about her problems openly get criticized and get trolled. The majority always want the women to act cute and dress like the way these people want them to wear. So the actresses always have to act this way. Since the industry is patriarchal for saving their career they have no other choice.current talented actress like anaswara rajan and nikhila vimal had to face rude and toxic comments on social media for openly discussion their problems. This Balayya has an insane rap sheet which any criminal will be jealous of. He has shot at a producer in an inebriated state at his residence and killed his innocent watch man in the process. He escaped jail time because the chief minister then helped him obtain a mentally challenged certificate. Just because his father was the legendary actor of Tollywood he gets away with almost anything. The fans are so conditioned to his disgusting actions that they say they are ‘blessed’ to be hit by their hero Balayya. So many videos have surfaced where he publicly hits his fans, throws cellphones at them and even manhandles them, to which the fans say he has a ‘childlike’ mind and he is has childlike innocence. He can’t be blamed entirely for his antics. The Telugu audience are also equally to blame for putting such a person at a pedestal and even electing this joker for an MLA seat. Being a Telugu myself, I am disheartened and don’t know when he will pay for his actions.
Rich n famous never paid for their actions

There's nothing patriarchal about this incident. It's ballaya being a jerk. First learn the meaning of patriarchy.
@@sololife9260 4:25 is the time stamp I'm talking about. It's a general statement and not related to this incident in particular.
@@sololife9260 How the actress responded is a reflection of how we have to move in a patriarchal society.
Patriarchy is not the result of conditioning. It's the natural heirarchy among humans. Equality is the myth that we're trying to condition into human brains.
Its surprising that after so many discussions about violence against women, misogyny, patriarchy, people still don't understand concepts like trauma response and coping mechanisms. Women always downplay such behaviours because of the fear that they would be called "drama queens" or that they were "overreacting". And Anjali was still called out and lashed at, even though she downplayed the incident at the event.
He is in a position of power and she is expected to deal with such shameless behavior. I have so much empathy for her and other women who have to deal with such behaviour.

Thank you for shedding light on this issue! yet It's really shocking how people blame the entire industry for one person's actions. The same people who celebrate Telugu cinema as "Indian cinema" when it's praised now criticise TFI as if their own industries are perfect. Every industry has its flaws which are definitely not justified to any level, but let's not tarnish the whole TFI because of it.

Thats right there shows double standards of audience. If it was done by any other actor in Bollywood; he would be cancelled.
Do you remember the idli statement regarding ram charan by SRK?! People were so critical of him specially this same industry in telegu and south. And now ????
So did anything happen to or did it affect srk in anyway , no right . The same thing here . No one gives a flying fuck
Bro base audience is different for both.. And mostly no one is watching Bollywood movies regularly..
Ram charan should have called him bakrichod
Bro if no one is talking then what is this? Everyone is actually condemning him ok? Stop giving this if it was done in bollywood BS. Many Telugu audience have themselves spoken against this
Oh if it’s Bollywood actor will get cancelled then why the person got acquitted in 2023 for a case that’s running since 2013 ? Please read that case if you can it’s even worse and none talks about that and that guy is still active without consequences
Really nice to see big personalities calling out Balayyas behaviour. It's high time. Especially since he is not just a big film identity but also a bigger political identity in the telugu speaking states. Power and money and eccentricity is a disgusting triad. Not just naga vamsi, everyone is gonna defend balayya. Nudging her is fine as long as he's her "friend" 🤦, but even when she stumbled he didn't even flinch. He was so unbothered.
Seriously man ! When she stumbled, a "friend" would have instinctively reached out to offer her support and stabilize her or at least to check she is alright and apologize for putting more force than required. This was purely a vile push to make her see her "place".
Nakul mehta is a flip actor. Not a big personality.
Whether u agree or not but south indian movies from start has only produced alpha male type of characters
Dont forget Kabir Singh, tere naam like characters are copied from south industry
The actress are shown in way better manner in bollywood than tollywood
SANDEEP REDDY VANGA AND BALAYYA MADE IN HEAVEN
Vanga never indulges in such behaviour. He is a thorough gentleman
Say what you want about his movies but vanga has never indulged in this kind of behaviour
@@Heartclose24gentleman 🙃😖
Vanga only bites those who dare (rightly) criticise him and his work. He behaves decently with others.
Vanga ???
Never heard of him. But the incident is really annoying. The girl needs to be supported.
Stop revering South cinema, this is what making them act like this.
without hesitation who is he?
Yes
A repeat offender who keeps getting away.
FLOP ANTI GRAVITY STAR BALAYYA
Cringe toxic demigod
A legend once & a jerk now.
How to respect women is something that the south Indian male actors need to learn from Bollywood actors...Someone like SRK will never do such a thing 😢
This is a global issue which needs to be addressed and handled immediately 😢
Yeah because srk only insults men 😂😂😂
Disagree we don't know them many bwood actors are pos
Yeah like affair with priyanka chopra cheated on gauri and gauri mam took her charming husband back from her and conspired to blacklist her with power in bwood . These r not my words these are pc agent words they were bitching about her in front her agent offered to join them but brave girl went back and convinced pc to try hollywood
SRK is the one who normalised simping in India. He's one of the reasons why Indian woman overestimate their own value.
Yeah when SRK dances for Criminal in Ra one and shakes his booty. Bollywood items songs - Sheila ki jawani? Munni badnaam hui? Film industry is a joke when it comes to women whether it is Bollywood or Sandalwood. I have seen only malayalam movies that portray women in a less demeaning way so far out of all these industries.
This reminds me of the time when varun dhawan kissed kiara advani while posing I think for a picture for a film promotion. He kissed her right under her eye which was very intimate and by her reaction you could tell it was not planned, she was surprised. But she couldn’t say anything to him. It looked like she was uncomfortable. Unfortunately women are in a position in the industry where they can’t say anything to these men especially if they comes from an influential family. :(
Imagine dragging bollywood to defend ur fav south star.
@@manav6721 when did I defend him? This is the first time I’ve even heard about this star actually.
She doesn't know how to react, as it was all of a sudden, it was very awkward so she just laughed off. Such incidents shouldn't happen with anyone, be it any gender.😢
Had this happened in Bollywood, there would have been “Boycott Bollywood” trend and South Indian cinema would’ve been hailed.
Right you saw what boney kapoor was doing recently and remember mahesh bhatt threw slippers at kangana .. so please 🙏🏾
@@Besties591😂 why you are defending balayya
@@dheeraj009.1These people are ballya's pr.
Thank you for understanding what a girl goes through in these situations, biggest question people ask that why is she talking about it now? Because scientifically the brain freezes and it feels so disappointed and start having trust issues
Hats off to you for covering this topic.
I clearly remember the Tanushree-Nana saga. It was very ugly. People were questioning and judging Tanu and her image because she did ‘aashiq banaya aapne’ song and defending and supporting nana for his patriotic roles. They were taking something that happened inside the reels of movies and thinking the role they play is indeed the real person too.
Has nana been proven guilty nope tanushree got all the fame attention seeking and blaming men for everything is womens ultimate goal
@@abhijeetdeshpande150 i can understand why you thought so. And i also understand why women feel soo much insecure in India.
@abhijeetdeshpande150
Believe it or not, powerful men are not the most victimized, and people like you (way too many) find it convenient to just blame the actual victims and slander them.
@abhijeetdeshpande150 typical

He is an embarrassment to Telugu Film Industry and a disgrace to the legacy of the great NTR (his dad).
Of course I thought of Lord Jammy and this channel when Balayya behaved badly.
If Anjali had shoved Balayya exactly like that, would that also have been considered "friendly". Nope.
Also remember how Simbu's father made an actress cry on stage, and the idiots present there were cheering and laughing.
You can tell she was embarrassed because the way she smiled, it says everything and I don't get why would someone from a Telugu industry show disrespect to a women.
Absolute disgraceful
Balayya is the same guy who said oscar's is equivalent to his father's toe nail and asked who ar rahman is, got mad at an actor for calling him uncle etc. He is the most accurate version of Saroj Kumar in the mohanlal film "Udayanaanu Thaaram".
Ofc there's some charity work that goes on his name, but that is not enough to neutralize the things he does on and off screen, even tho his fans believe that's enough.
The Telegu industry only makes popular films, not good films. Even their biggest hits have mostly portrayed ladies as damsels in distress, have mostly objectified them in brief dresses with a navel show.
Arundhathi, antahpuram, ammoru, panchakshari, anasuya , bahubali, mayabazaar , missamma are women oriented movies . Agree these actors are given god status and that should stop but not all are bad and many like shekhar kammula actively supports women and equal rights . No hate brother . Also we telugu (sane) audience hate him too . Peace🙏🙏
@@avanthibulusu92 Exactly! These new gen film watchers know nothing of retro Telugu movies.
@@Suchifrfr they just want to bash telugu movies by just watching balayya movies . They don't even watch nani or adivi sesh movies. But the directors nowadays are also licking star's boots . Directors like jandhyala garu , bapu garu, k.vishwanath garu used to have command and control over actors and stories too . They are disciplined. That is missing nowadays and directors are doing fan service by giving elevations to heroes . 100% agree to your comment sister. Peace🙏🙏
@@avanthibulusu92 yes very true!
@@Suchifrfr I don't know why balayya is still doing movies tho . His movies are not even hits now .
Anmol you are real gem , my brother
To an extent Telugu audience are also guilty. They allowed Balayya to flourish without any consequences multiple times in spite of his awful antics both on and off camera..so now he is bold enuff to be an obnoxious thug to females in plain view
Thank you Jammy for making this video.. thank you for speaking up... On screen he will talk about women empowerment in his movies & in real life this is his real face
I was waiting for this video…thank you! You didn’t disappoint.
Half the people complaining about Anjali can't even speak up to their own bosses for a half day but they can very well be keyboard warriors when needed 😂
That last part 9:43 where Rhea Kapoor is speaking is so relatable... be it entertainment industry or medical field (myself) dealing on with this on daily basis..it hits hard! Thoughtful addition to this video...you have High Emotional Quotient (EQ) Jammy❤
This is a south actor so the video title is- "Indian film industry"😂 but he was a bollywood actor then title would've been "Bollywood industry" 😂😂
They don't want to show reality of south.
@@manav6721 true! Now they are protraying this as Indian cinema
Honestly though, the way Anjali reacted is perfect. In life, if someone pushes you in your life you shouldn’t resort to fighting mentality immediately. You need to choose your battles, and as much as people are making a big deal out of this, it’s strictly not necessary.
Let me be clear, I’m not supporting Balakrishna’s actions. He’s obviously wrong. But I don’t like how people are saying “oh poor Anjali, she’s so shocked, she had to laugh it off awkwardly.”
Shakti Kapoor caught on tape and he's still there.Jackie Shroff, Amitabh Bachan said nothing when asked. It's so disappointing. Never forget.
Dragging another industry to defend ur fav south star.
Not sure if i am going way off topic but to me we need to fix this at the grass root level - if every child is taught to respect each other's talent, role, boundaries and personal space - male or female - only then both the audience and the industry will eventually be full of people who treat eachother as equals in every sense of the word. Rules, law and media can probably reduce the impact now but true change has to come from within and shouldn't need to be forced as adults but should be instilled as values in children - maybe more important than getting marks.
It was not just a simple smile she gave. It was an excessive over the top laughter - a momentary response reaction brought out with great pressure to cover up for the embaressment at that point
Openly he is doing like this than how he is personally 😢😢😢😢😢,very patriarchy society 😢.

This was one of the most disheartening moment we use in recent times.. anjali is an outsider, non of the industry ppl supported her, rather she was forced to tweet in balayya favour, if not she would have banned from all future movies. She had struggled her way to be where she is today, it would be difficult for her to standup without anyones industry support. Where is laxmi manchu now? Who raised voice for rhea? Will evryone would have been silent if this would have happened to shruti? Or will balayya dare to do this to her on stage. It was shame when the actor vamsi posted ignore the negativity? I mean seriously, was this the takeaway? Its shows with this incident, its impossible to add stand in front of this powerful ppl for women😢
He was also intoxicated, there were booze bottle infront of him . The cast covered it up saying they were cg
What scares me most is he is okay doing that in public with media imagine what he gets away with when alone
Very problematic hero , not cool 😔
Anjali won the day and ❤ of every one who watched this video
Was this a woman specific issue? would someone like Priyadarshan or Navin Polishetty or even Anad Devarakonda would have said something if Balayya had treated them rudely? Regardless basic stage etiquetes should be there
Everyone talks about nepotism in Bollywood which do exist .....
But they often ignore how women are portrayed in south movie industry. They are considered as objects...
Entire film Industry In India is gross.
Not Bollywood not south but every industry. this mindset is clearly visible in these kind of actions
Hollywood is same.
Very well done video, it really says it as it is!
When Satyajit Ray said that India has a backward audience, people criticised him. To think thats still the case in 2024 is very sad. I have seen people defending the guy and justifying it by saying that the girl had no problem because she was laughing. Nobody saw her uncomfortable smile and the truth that anything she could have done there, other than laughing would have backfired horribly.
Balayya deserves all the criticism and more that comes his way. But Radhika Apte painting an entire industry as misogynistic because of her bad experience with a terrible person is also not cool. Especially because she went ahead and signed another film with the same actor after this incident.
But she has no problem with her acting nude in ger films
