    I could not have imagined that buying this turtle would become such an amazing endeavor. I hope you guys enjoy this journey as much as I do!

    Insane that you don’t have more subscribers. You should get another turtle or two and start growing them in a different tank so when it’s time to upgrade to a bigger tank they’re about the same size

      Thank you!! I really apriciate that. Getting another turtle might be a good Idea. Although they are not that easy to come by here in the Netherlands. I am looking online and at expos.

    Wow, this project was a brilliant success. The moss on the walls might be the wrong type to grow there. I would look into sourcing types of moss that dart frog keepers use on their hygrolon backgrounds. Those types grow faster too

      That’s a good idea. I think I might nog have the right kind of hydrogrolon or something since it barley wicks water. Might just completely redo the tank at some point.

    The enclosure looks very cool! Didnt know you could use osb3 for wet exhibits like this! Also nice to see a dutch reptile/herp youtuber❤

    • @CrunchyFern
      @CrunchyFern  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! The osb was an experiment, but in theory it is a better surface for the liquid rubber so I just gave it a try and for now it’s working really well. Haven’t seen anyone use it in a similar setup tho

      @@CrunchyFern yeah me neither. Thats why i find your take so interesting because it makes a terrarium thats both insulated and waterproof

      @@CrunchyFern you should definately make a paludarium for like a chinisaurus crocodilurus

    • @CrunchyFern
      @CrunchyFern  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lightfurysketches5271 that's true, but also keep in mind that you have to make sure your tank is properly sealed. If this thing starts leaking the osb boards will imediatly start to soak up water and expand. which is probably why I haven't seen others try this.

    May know what type of sand did you use in your turtle tank??

    • @CrunchyFern
      @CrunchyFern  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just basic playsand. The cheap stuff you can get at any hardware store. Just make sure to rinse it before use

    I have a question how do you access the tank because it isn’t front opening and it looks like it’s on a stack?

      Does the drawer fully remove?

    • @CrunchyFern

      There’s a door above the tank. I can reach in from there :)

    May I ask where you bought Koa?

    • @CrunchyFern
      @CrunchyFern  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I bought her from a local breeder. They’re pretty hard to find and I had to spend months to finally get a hold on one. I recommend searching on instagram for #spottedturtle and # your local area.
