Yeah it feels too deep but the label on the pot said it should be fine up to 40cm deep, which is how deep it is now. Should I move it? Maybe to the big filter or intake bay?

I’m not sure what size I did use, I might have mentioned it in the original build video but I’m not sure. Anyway I definitely didn’t use the thinnest option. You can find save money in a lot of ways, but the liner is one of those things I would recommend you spend a bit more on.

I’m not entirely sure what you mean. Are you recommending I add a center piece fish?

Ah I see, I'll keep that in mind, but I'm not sure they actually need that. The lily and other plants create a few different sections in the pond serving a similar function.

That’s cool! Do you have a lot of fish in there?

Good question! You have special pond foam which is 100% safe. I didn’t use that tho, I used a cheap alternative. I’ve been using cheap sprayfoam in aquascapes for years now and haven’t noticed any negative side effects. I’ve compared the ingredients from special pond foam to cheap foam and couldn’t find any difference. From what I can tell the cheap ‘regular’ spray foam is also safe for fish. This might not be the case with every time of foam tho!

I don’t know. It’s not over there, but the building you see in the background also isn’t my house. It’s my work shed, it doesn’t have heating so I doubt there is a gas line going there.

Thank you! The varnish on the outside Will help protect the Wood. If you ventilate your house I don't think you should be worried about mold.

@@CrunchyFern yeah that should work! I made the same mistake with some raised flowerbeds and wooden sleepers up against the wall! The wall got damp. Great video 👍🏼

In my experience they become less shy the more hiding space they have. Adding coconut hides and leaves really made a difference. How many do you have? They are a social fish and are more out going if they are kept in groups.

@@CrunchyFern it’s a fully planted 75 gallon tank with Denison barbs, angels, and bosmani. I only have 1 rope fish in the tank

@@juanname5599 in that case I think he might just be lonely. I recommend you look into getting another one (or two). It will make them more confident and they love to curl up togheter! Mine often share a single coconut hide among the four of them haha.
