Another great video. Im thinking of 3d printing the map tiles, making them a bit larger.

The digital overlord is still in beta?
I guess if you got the Original DS I guess you can create a character from the companion book and used the character progression from the first DS - mod it slightly if needed.
Thank God I got the original DS and all it expansion when it came out 😂. I love that game - not perfect but I just love the feeling when I play it.
Mind you with the Original DS I did like the magic gems being turned and slowly reset depending on the type of spell used. Oh boy had many a fun time seeing the Wizard player trying to plan out his magic plan lol esp if it went wrong 😂 so much fun. From what I've seen played this element is not in DSO.
Great review… and even i play mostly Dungeon Universalis 😎 i really enjoy this light crawling every now and than… with my son and/ or wife. 🙌🏻👍🏻
DU I'd love to play that beast of a game but currently out of my price range 😂 but it looks epic, but the organisation looks like a pain in the arse. A small price for a game with so much content.
@@Mark-nh2hs well yea it can be quite intimidating😂 but you already got a ton of painted miniatures, so you only need the base game and the tile set 1+2 so this should be not that expansive on the second hand market... well and you defiantly get the beastery cards... so much more convenient than the books 🙌
Does anyone know if this game is too unchallenging in solo play without the app? thanks
Without the app, it is easier yes. You know which rooms to goto to find the exits/artefacts. But it’s still fun and challenging with the monsters.
I find the solo play using the manual overlord? a bit confusing. I am not sure how you are able to keep track of the aggression levels consistently. I appreciate that it is there but may hold off until the digital overlord is further along to get farther into it. Thank you for your efforts!
The overlord mood card tells you when you need to flip it over. Essentially whenever someone opens a door, doesn’t kill a monster outright or triggers a trap - you have to check for an interrupt by drawing the bottom card of the exploration discard deck.
I do forget playing solo sometimes, easier to remember when you’re not filming I think, but it could do with a little player aid to remind you these things. Like a workflow chart or something

@@DieRollin they didn't hire an artist so it looks like a disco dance floor...so u would play 3 campaigns on 6 tiles that are duplicates
