If i go someplace and need more room I take my 2012 Sienna XLE. No worries, just love the NX though, made in Japan, can't find anything at all wrong with it, 1 thing though, it only gets about 29 M.P.G tops, but at only $4.69 a gallon now it's o.k. with me, the book says to use 91 octane as it has the 2 stage turbo. I agree. I just picked up a 2023 UX 250H and I am impressed. Not very powerful, but quick enough and fun to drive. The MPG’s and price point just made sense considering what I will be using the vehicle for.
Hi Guys; On April 1st, I purchased a UX250h here in Reno, NV, I traded my 2006 RX400h, which I bought new in 2005, I loved it but I decided to buy this new, it is not always easy to get into, but I have learned how easily.. One thing I don't think you mentioned is the fact it does not have a spare tire, but the are instructions on how to drive 100 miles on a flat tire, which could happen here in Nevada, as there is a lot of open spaces, like going from Reno to Las Vegas. Anywhy so fare I am getting basically I am getting 45MPG, but mostly in town. Where I live very hilly, plenty of power, and the gas tank only hold 10.8 gallons which is fine with me. I am happy with this vehicle. Thanks for the video. RJN.
I'm looking at the UX and NX. We already own a RAV4 and don't need another big car and being short I like to be able to see over the hood. Good to know you're liking your new UX250h and the ride is smooth. Agree about the spare tire, though.
I was surprised how little headroom Andre had in the back seat of the RX. The previous generation RX seemed pretty tall. Did Lexus lower the roof line for the current generation RX?
Base model RX-350, that's gas only, is by far the best (best bang for the buck). Get it now, before electrification screws-up it up...the sum of its parts and world class assembly-line makes it punch above its weight class. 8speed with small first gear can take a twin-turbo v6 when getting the jump off the lights. Well dampen suspension makes it a tool that someone like Paul will appreciate (now that he know how to hustle a front drive biased car around the race track).
The worst part about this nice video was the commercial for Cadillac Ugh. I’m the battle damaged product of Cadillac. But Lexus did revive me. How nice just to go to the dealer for an oil change.
go for the non-turbo engine. you can't put as much miles on a turbo engine. At 120k the turbo's will need to be rebuilt. You can drive an RX 350 for 300k miles
The GX wins. The interior space efficiency of these Lexus CUVs is awful compared to their humble Toyota cousins. Let's hope the next generation of NX and RX upgrades utility and brings fuel efficiency up to par as well.
The GX is a gas guzzler that looks very dated inside and out. I also think people tend over estimate what they actually need to carry; if you consistently carry large and bulky items where extra space would make a difference, then a pick up or minivan makes way more sense. The GX certainly has its market and proclaiming “GX wins!” Will get you likes on an enthusiast channel, but I think the RX and NX makes for a better vehicle for what the vast majority buyers use their CUV for: Putter around the kids to the grocery store.
@@panzer_TZ In the category of body-on-frame luxury SUVs, the GX easily wins and I wanted to start my comment on a positive note for Lexus. In terms of getting groceries, the new generation of Toyota Hybrid CUVs easily offer a more rational proposition than the out-of-date Lexus RX and NX. Anyone even thinking of buying the UX ought to spend their money on the just-as-luxurious, equally-efficient and infinitely-more-practical Venza instead. BTW I'll take my 'likes' any way I can get them ;-)
Isn’t Lexus one of the few brands that you can recommend to anyone and everyone, and know that you won’t hear about it? The UX and RX look great. No NX.
I agree. I never liked the face of the NX. The small chin is weird to me. I have the RX in Denver, but I can see myself getting a UX for a Chicago city living.
@@claudekingstan4084 what they need to do is put the same horsepower in the UX that they have in the RAV4 and the Venza and then that would be a fun car to drive
I had the RX leased for 3 yrs, turned it in early and bought the UX. The RX is a gas guzzler and so noisy on the road. The UX doesn’t have a good sound system and is touchy when driving so it takes some getting used to- it barely feels like a Lexus because it’s so… basic but after looking at Toyota it’s still very much luxury- I’m just spoiled. I was tempted by the new Merc 2022 C coming out- the screens are amazing but my last MERC E550 had problems always- very expensive. I chose the UX as I’m only 5’3, my wife is 5’2 & we don’t have kids yet so when we do, they’ll be in car seats forever anyways. This UX- if thinking responsibility but still the need to have a luxury vehicle is the best you’ll get. Also as someone thats 5’3 it’s quite roomy- the RX has an unnecessary amount of space that I only utilized twice in all the time I had it.
It is June 2021. This fall, the NX will be redesigned from the ground up. Less noise, more get-up-and-go. The Hybrid will be called NX 350h. I can't wait to test drive it. Said to give 37 mpg (the current model gives 31). Probably will cost over $50,000. These models feature what Lexus calls the *Enform Dynamic Navigation* system. In that system, Google maps are downloaded "dynamically" off the air so no more need for that annual trip to a Lexus dealer to get the latest maps, paying $200 every time. However, after 3 years, you'd have to pay $170 every two years to maintain a 'dynamic membership!' 😂😎😁
@@ahitchcock7056 you can get one without navigation. I was about to buy a 2022 ES 300h without navigation in January but found one with the 12 inch screen, navigation and premium Mark Levinson audio, and chose it instead.

My Full time Job is Skip the Dishes, Uber and Door Dash my UX 250 H enough for my every day delivery so Much Fun to drive a lot of Power and I’m very happy for it , this days HYBRID is the Best not EV
Concur. UX250 H, As fun as BMW x3, I owned the both
I agree. I just picked up a 2023 UX 250H and I am impressed. Not very powerful, but quick enough and fun to drive. The MPG’s and price point just made sense considering what I will be using the vehicle for.

How is the back seat room for your Uber passengers? I'm considering getting one. Thanks.
Nathan and Andrey, the ultimate combo for the best videos. You guys crack me up. keep up the good work

I was surprised how little headroom Andre had in the back seat of the RX. The previous generation RX seemed pretty tall. Did Lexus lower the roof line for the current generation RX?
UX hybrid is 1/2 second faster to 60.
NX has a redesign coming in the Fall. Quad headlights.
RX has a redesign next year. I might wait.
I love the UX
The worst part about this nice video was the commercial for Cadillac Ugh. I’m the battle damaged product of Cadillac. But Lexus did revive me. How nice just to go to the dealer for an oil change.
go for the non-turbo engine. you can't put as much miles on a turbo engine. At 120k the turbo's will need to be rebuilt. You can drive an RX 350 for 300k miles
False! Toyota/Lexus has been building turbo engines for a decade
The hands free boot opener in the RX requires you to hold your elbow or palm close to the Lexus logo on the tailgate
That’s the older system. On my ‘21 it is kick operated, but it is very finicky. The dealer actually refunded my $150.
I've driven the new ES,RX,UX and NX as loaners and the best ride was the ES. In terms of SUV's I'd have to say that I like them in order of size.
Very helpful because I was on the fence between the es and nx.
I'm 6'0 and it's not hard getting in and out of the 2022 UX 250h as the driver.
I hate there's no 360 camera. Perk.... regular gas!
The Nathan and Andre combo is undefeated! So funny! Haha.
BTW I'll take my 'likes' any way I can get them ;-)
@@rightlanehog3151 But Lexus is Lexus and Toyota is Toyota.
@@panzer_TZ extra space go with a van, GX is off-road, bicycle or walk can save gasoline.
@@panzer_TZ I agree too boxy and dated. It’s plain ugly in my opinion and not to mention to gas
Bruh I nearly lost it when Nathan was like "yeah for Roman with the osteo" hahahaha
Nathan always with the best Roasts
Isn’t Lexus one of the few brands that you can recommend to anyone and everyone, and know that you won’t hear about it?
The UX and RX look great. No NX.
I agree. I never liked the face of the NX. The small chin is weird to me. I have the RX in Denver, but I can see myself getting a UX for a Chicago city living.
@@claudekingstan4084 what they need to do is put the same horsepower in the UX that they have in the RAV4 and the Venza and then that would be a fun car to drive
@@claudekingstan4084 the nx only looks like that in NA, other countries have better looking front
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I find them all somewhat, er, homely-looking but the RX is the least attractive among them to my eyes.

Yep. Us car people know it’s the premium compact hybrid SUV for just a couple grand more than a RAV4.

I love my 2015 RX 450- it is all that and then some!
Did you test drive or sit in the NX? We're the same height.
Nathan cracks me up! And you got to love Andre for putting up with Nathan! You guys are the best!
What if you don’t pay it?
I don’t even want navigation.
I just need a compass
@@ahitchcock7056 you can get one without navigation. I was about to buy a 2022 ES 300h without navigation in January but found one with the 12 inch screen, navigation and premium Mark Levinson audio, and chose it instead.
If they made a longer RX for better 2nd row leg room… that’d be great..
This was the most exciting review I've ever seen yall are entertaining for sure..I was engaged the whole time!
i love RX350 design and interior 😍 , no competition
Not a big fan of these crossovers, but this video was still great. “Kids with no legs” 😂
great video guys. just my suggestion to include some part of vehicle reliability comparison and little bit of history. this would definitely help buyers to choose peacefully.
If you don’t need the space of the RX then the Toyota Venza is a great “Lexus” for you.
I would say the Highlander Hybrid is a better RX and the Venza is a better NX.
But you don't get that Lexus badge
RXL is prefect vehicle, made in Japan plus it has (tiny) third row for occasion of use.
@@juliannaastrid1321 people are set free when they stop caring what strangers think. Getting a last generation car but a “nice” badge is a fools errand
Lexus has better sound deadening, and better warranty. If you don't care about those 2 things save cash and go toyota. Either way can't go wrong
We have owned 2003 RX300 since new. It's done 216k miles with minimal maintenance except routine servicing. I would love technology which is in the new models but frankly speaking, the longer we have our old RX300 the happier I am with it.
none of the Lexi has total volume cargo space when put down 2nd row seat than 2013 Honda FIT (2nd generation). I was able to fit a 50 Gallons water boiler from Home Depot and closed the hatch door with driver and passenger on board. Also can fit 5 bicycles or 60" TV is a piece of cake.
I had a fit and then got the ux200. I agree that the biggest downside is the cargo space but I love the mpg and the look
We chose the 2020 UX200. Exactly serves our needs.
We love it.
Yes it seems like a wonderful city living crossover car with superb mpg and reliability.
Does the UX seem to have adequate power for merging into Highway traffic?
@@stedye 0-60 is in about 8 seconds by my attempts. This is fine for a CUV. I have not had a scintilla of concern entering a freeway, taking off at a traffic light , or climbing up that horrible steep grade near San Luis Obispo on the #101. I ran it HARD on the wild hair raising turns up from McKittrickto Santa Marguerita, CA on the CA58. No problem. Handled it like a champ. Could it use 25-50hp? Probably. Would I trade my 38 combined MPGs for that power? NOPE!
It's a car that serves 1 person. So, there's no real need for a vacuous cargo that is lucky to see 5 plastic bags from Vons Grocery store!!!😂
@@islandon22 appreciate your very honest and candid assessment of your UX. Here in Atlanta, we have traffic jams, but, not the challenge with steep hills. When I visit the dealer near my home , the sales staff always say : you should look at NX or RX ,that does not have enough power ... lol. I will decide what is best for myself, thanks again and all the best.
@@stedye they said the same s**t to me. I told them basically what you did. I worked up in dreadful Dahlonega years ago. The UX could eat those Blue Ridge Mountains up and still get 33 mpg and never drop below the speed limit. Auto marketing has everyone psyched on buying cars that go 0-60 in under 4 secs. Problem is the cops didn't get the memo. 😫
Good video but lexus announce a new NX this week , I hope you guys make a video of the new one
NX for me.
Best video on the Lexus as all three models are clearly compared. 😊

No more cubic space measurement, now it’s how many Andres
I think Nathan is enjoying locking Andre in the truck a little too much. 😭😭

After seeing this I think I will stick with my 4 Runner
I have a UX hybrid and can't wait to see the RZ (the size I think that will suit me).
400H FTW! Just IMO....good gas mileage for a luxury truck, and great power when you charge the battery 🔋🔋🔋 all the way up with the (B) gear ⚙️ on the shifter.

The RX is better over all. Picking the RX every time
I'm not looking for hybrids. Great video.
Thanks guys loved your take on this! I’m going to test drive an NX 😀
Here’s what I recommend to people - unless you’re going to buy a GX460 or an LX570, just buy the Toyota variant. No need to spend extra for a Lexus when it’s a crossover.

Anyone that owns a paid off Lexus is well on their way to building wealth- (P.S. I love my IS350 and would recommend anyone to get one)
For Lexus to be a luxury brand it never hits the mark appearance wise. They’re always lacking that wow factor. Should have marketed as a comfort car but not there yet Lexus. One day I’m hoping they really cross over and go all out
I’d take the RX
Great review. I’m still leaning towards an RX

I don’t like the front of the NX
RX and UX look way better
My wife is considering the new RX hybrid and NX Hybrid, decide to save $10K and on a waiting list on a NX. Our 2 teenagers are driving age now and we don’t need a mid size SUV anymore. And we can use my 17 ES350 on roadtrips, it is more quiet and comfortable. The UX is simply too small for us.
Thank you gentlemen for your wonderful review.

Great job guys on this comparison. You guys made me laugh and I really enjoyed watching it. Your awesome bro's 👍🏼.
We have sisters. We can find them a good new vehicle with old fashioned technology like lockers, etc. But, they want something reliable, efficient, and sleek, so we reluctantly think they should have a rugged Lexus...
I love your sense of humour.🤣 Nice work guys!
Your videos lately, have been terrific.
Lexus NX 2022, enough said especially if it gets the RAV4 prime powerplant
You guys make a really good team. :)
for the rx, if you hover your hand over the rear Lexus badge, the tailgate will open
I lease a 2019 NX F sport and love it. Gas mileage is pretty good for a 4 cylinder turbo and it has some speed on it. But when my lease is up I will be leasing an RX F sport because trunk space in the NX is pretty small.
@Herbert Wingfield yeah I was looking into getting the L. I’m honestly hoping they change the body a little. The body style has been the same for so long now.
@Herbert Wingfield that's what I like about my 2017 highlander when I bought it used last year, more legroom, good headroom, higher sitting position, large trunk space, huge centre console, storage shelf that goes from middle to passenger side
@Herbert Wingfield unfortunately Toyota is going for the sloped Lexus style nowadays, such that the front row space becomes compromised
We've missed you baldy
