I was set on the NX at first but after getting inside the RX and going for test drives (both back to back), I instantly chose the RX. The cabin felt significantly bigger, especially the rear as I frequently haul 4 other people. The biggest difference was the ride quality. In NX you don’t feel like you are driving a SUV. The dashboard gives you a feel like you are driving Hatchback on steroids. RX on the other hand is tall. Gives you that SUV feel and greater visibility.
RX isn’t $80K. You can get the base model which is already fully loaded, for $60K. Nobody needs a huge display screen or panoramic roof. RX350h shouldn’t even exist. It’s underpowered. If you’re so worried about saving money on gas, don’t get a Lexus. NX is about the size of a RAV4.
The thing is you will upgrade to a bigger car soon because after the first child, you will have another one within a couple of years. Also, did you look at the resale value between the two?

I am sorry Sonduren, but youre reasearch is not performed correctly. The drivetrain is absolutely not the same. The vehicle towing capacity for the nx vs the rx is 2000 lbs vs 3500 lbs. Totally agree! If we needed the extra space we would’ve went for the RX.
The grille alone is a deal breaker. Team NX!
Which trim did you go with the NX?
The thing is you will upgrade to a bigger car soon because after the first child, you will have another one within a couple of years. Also, did you look at the resale value between the two?
I did and found no significant arbitrage between the 2.
Great review! I’m same, went with an NX450h+ and can’t wait for it to arrive.
Congratulations man! What’s the ETA?
@@carswithsonduren Frustratingly I can’t get any half decent indication from the dealer. It’s been on order for nearly 12 months and could be up to 12 months more until I receive it. I get a text confirming it’s not on the production schedule every third day of the month, so my fingers are once again crossed for next week 😬great channel by the way. Really informative and very practical. Keep up the great work and take every opportunity to include things on the NX. I’ve got a few mates and we are all in the same anxious boat!
That’s crazy dude I hope you get the text asap and thanks for the compliments man I’ll keep more good videos coming out and thanks for being a subscriber ;)
@@carswithsonduren 👍😊
.................................. Boooooo if you did NOT get the LEXUS NX 450h+ " F " Sport you did Not do your homework as you Do-Not have "ADAPTIVE SUSPENSION"
interesting, I'm also on the market for a SUV as we are a family of 4 (2 adults, one 5y and one 8yo) - what made you choose the NX over the X5, maybe even the X3? thank you!
If I was you, I would go with the RX. The extra space is going to be worth it, especially with kids those size and as they grow. I personally like the technology package of the Lexus and the BMWs. I’m not the most fond of for a variety of reasons.
X3 is way more quiet and spacious than NX. I was keen on buying NX but after test drives I ended up with X3
Hi wondering why you did not consider the NX plug in hybrid model? You would get a tax credit as well?
No availability at the time
14l/100km on a hybrid? That's insanely high. I get that on a E46 M3...
It really depends on your figure.
Does RX have better sound and road noise insulation than NX ?
Yes it does. I would say it is a noticeable difference.
$70K for NX? My Our TX350 Lux was only $72K otd
So what do you all think?🤔
If you will get one more baby onboard I would suggest you go for Lexus TX or GX and skip RX .😄
The GX is stunning. They absolutely hit it out of the park with that one. I like the TX, but I LOVE the GX looks wise.
I'm broke :(
Inflation is doing that to everyone 😢
boot is same in both i think
RX is about 20% larger
NX REQUIRES premium gas? RX does NOT. How can you miss that crucial point?
No. NX HYBRID does NOT require premium gas. I’m looking at my owners manual now. Also been driving on 87 regular for a year and over 25,000km no problem.
I really liked NX350h .
thank you for honest review .
These price are too dam hight. I guess i will buy something over this
I am sorry Sonduren, but youre reasearch is not performed correctly. The drivetrain is absolutely not the same. The vehicle towing capacity for the nx vs the rx is 2000 lbs vs 3500 lbs. This difference is across all styles 350L, 350, 450h etc. The ability to tow nearly twice as much is a huge factor.
I would take the 2023 RAV4 Prime with a premium package over NX and RX.
For value for money, absolutely. So if you want that next step up to something a little bit more luxurious, you pay the premium for the Lexus.
I’d pay extra for softer materials
Whenever I look at NX (compared to my RX), I see small and cheap looking. If you're going all-in on LEXUS ... better to get RX, which is more value and comfort than NX at $10K extra.
I agree, and if you are a poor like me who can’t get the RX, you can settle for the NX 😎
...............................Ouch! The 450 h+ "F" Sport model is Cheap looking????? ...Indeed mine has all Carbon Fiber outside ind inside where there was piano black....Circut Red w/ blackinserts (racy IMO. ) I have red calipers against the gloss Black Mags Black Chrome and the front Fascia LQQK's soooo very much better with the Prowler look of the Functional Black Air intakes against the Atomic Silver gloss black cris cross grill...........I'm thiMk'n you sir have No Taste!
NX Ultra Luxury. Never been so disappointed in a factory sound system.. Mark Levinson upgrade was another 5 grand up. Not worth it for a stereo. I dont want the other crap that came with it. My old 19 QX50 stereo blows the doors off of this thing
So are you saying you did not opt for the ML and instead went with the 2nd option? Well, see if you can upgrade your audio from a sound shop if you are going to keep it.
@@josefernandez2722 Remember in Canada ML. is. part of a package. Not a stand alone item option.
Firstly the ML is a 2200.00 added cost Ouch Yes... You have a crap Infinity and you try to compare with a LEXUS says it all!
And Im sure the transmission of your q50 will also blows earlier while this thing is keep running😂
There is more width in the rx vs the nx. RX is more comfortable for that reason but, I went with the NX to save 10k.
Bro stop lying ok about the price because I stay in Florida my neighbor but the new one for 59 out the door for the Rx 350 where you stay they kicking your tail
you got robbed or you are working for LEXUS!!! 70,00 for this little thing??? Lol!!
NX is trash .
This guy is killing this SUV with talk about kids and wife. 😕
Life reality my friend haha.
Turbo Inline 4cyl engine in Acura RDX @ $56,000 is the best vehicle that completely outclasses any hybrid turbo from Toyota & competes with porche macan & BMW X3
😂🤣
