For those of you who are still wondering, the best way to open the grill is to warm up the edges with a hairdryer, go around with something really thin to losen the glue and then on the side where the charger goes in there in the middle the grill has a little gap, where it's less thick so you can get under there and lift it up from there!

I find the best way to get the cover off is to be pissed off enough that you spent that much money and they need repaired after only 8 months - works great 👍🏻

Yeah mine just died after 3 years, let's see if I can hot wire something so it works.
Speakers turn off when the charger is unplugged and the speakers are super choppy.
Great little speaker! Although the drivers total 10 watts, the power amplifier is likely still 12 watts… to avoid clipping the drivers and blowing them thermally. The drivers are protected against mechanical failure by the dsp highpass and 70hz radiator tuning. The driver wattage rating is likely not peak, but an RMS one. Good deal, especially on sale.
Thank you very much, bro. I had no ideia how open this device. My problem was a "Power Button". I fixed it by puting a piece of foam to improve the pressure.
It was a lot easier to repair my Soundcore 2 that I thought it would be. Thanks for posting this video!!!

I needed this video because I wanted to know how to open it up. Apparently, just jamming a kitchen knife is the way to go. Glued down parts for our modern age of disposable manufacturing.
My board looked completely different inside. Whatever. I cut the mic and that blinding blue LED. Now it's not giving me random feedback during podcasts or trying to burn pinpoints in my eyes.
Over the last five years I've purchased two of these and both of them have randomly stopped charging. Think it's a loose wire thing; you plug in the cable of one, the light briefly flickers but no amount of repositioning of the cable will sort it. Anyone else had similar problems?

chinas sellers like bigger numbers, but this battery actually is 7.4v and 2600mAh

Not necessarily, if the cells are in series, the voltage will double and the capacity will remain the same, however if they are in parallel, the capacity will double and the voltage will remain the same

bassblaster505 that's why it is so good! Did you also notice the audio quality chip? It has all 8 pins soldered to the circuit board haha... You never see that in portable Dap..

The documentation says that this thing should have 2 6W drivers. But the drivers clearly say 5W - Strange
Its Chinese what do you expect
Maybe they are rated for 5W, but Anker pushes 6W through it, using up the rating margins.
Different ohm, amper, it can be 8w also
it even kicked out to 7W depends on source

why is there a cable on the passive radiator? If it's passive, shouldn't have anything. I wanted to know how it works. I thought he only vibrated according to the oscillation of the speakers. But if it has a cable, some energy goes to it.
Ordered the Soundcore first edition. But Exchanging it for Soundcore 2. you every compare the two of them
I haven't compared them but I think it is a good idea to exchange it for the SoundCore 2 since it has a passive radiator and an improved sound.
The original soundcore was a POS in my opinion. It produced highs that were ear piercing in some ways. It also clipped lows in songs that weren't even bass heavy.
The soundcore 2 like night and day better in both audio quality and build quality. The soundcore 2 even competes with my JBL Flip 3 at medium volume levels which is pretty crazy for only being one generation newer. It just shows that Anker is trying to compete allot harder then with previous generations.

Why does the passive radiator have a connector ? Isn't a passive radiator supposed to be, well, passive ? Or is that for some kind of antenna ?

Where is the antenna? Or is it integrated into the PCB as lines? The range on mine is effectively zero; put the phone against the housing's back and it plays clear, move it an inch and it stutters...

Friend my anker soundcore 2 is switching off when the volume up button is pressed.It comes to bluetooth updating mode which sounds like a bird chirp and the power button turns from white to red and suddenly turn off and again it switches on. A local technician says that the problem is with the buttons.So i will be very happy if you give me a solution for this please

Friend can you tell me the name of the play button that comes in the soundcore 2 and a place to find them. My buttons are wear off and i cannot find them in my country. Its 4.5mm*4.5mm square type button.
Can you put the grill back on?
My charger port isn't working anymore as the charger won't charge unless held in place and even still it won't always charge. It doesn't look easy to fix after looking into the charger port. Any suggestions? Thanks
I would try to contact the Anker support, they are quite responsive and willing to make the customers happy, so maybe they will send you a replacement unit.

Will taking the grille off damage it or make it not waterproof?
You have to be careful to do not deform the grille and it is fixed by glue so maybe after removal, it will not hold so well as before. I do not think it will influence the water protection.
@@SpeakerFanatic Yes, it has nothing to do with water proofing. The grill has tiny holes, where the water can get in, so if you remove the grill, it will stay ipx7

Nice size battery, what is the playtime?
I haven't checked it but actually, I think there are two 2600 mAh batteries in the speaker because the official specification says 5200 mAh battery size. Hello today, the speaker has stopped working properly during normal music playback. Music stops and you can not listen to music normally.After switching on, the loudspeaker interrupts the sound. When charging with the charger, the red LED lights up for a moment and after a few seconds it is white. How to repair?
You likely overcharged it. You could try contacting anker support to see if they could help. I had the same issue on my flip 4 and after leaving it on for a few days it completely discharged and then I did a full charge on it (didn't overcharge) and it worked fine after that.
@@underscore_tip I do not think ... I bought a new 18650 battery and replaced it ... still the same problem. Without a battery (connected to a charger) and with batteries ... Anker washes hands ... :(

I haven't checked this but likely it is true and there is a second 2600mAh battery module under the one I've shown in the video.

My soundcore (model A3102) dropped into the sea for 2 secs. I quickly went and let it dry itsef but now, it wont turn on. 2 days later I charged it and the charging light turned on. Anyone has any ideas of I can fix it? Just want to try something before buying another one.

My left speaker is blown/crackling. I would like to open it up and disconnect the left speaker.
Same problem. I want to change both for something better. I figured there would be disassembly screws under the rubber feet and the whole unit would slide out, but there are no such screws.

Great question! Mine occasionally cuts the sound off completely for ~10 seconds. Comes back every time though.

@@thelooksmaxingchannel4806 Uh that's exactly what it means lmao Bluetooth transmits stereo audio especially if it has two drivers. This speaker has stereo separation if you play a left and right channel song or audio clip it will be in stereo.
@@IamJay02 You made the statement, it has two drivers, obviously it's stereo. I'm just saying, just because something has two drivers it can still transmit in mono. I'm not saying the device is mono though.
