Not a bad idea at all and a lot cheaper than RV SnapPads! We may have to try this!

We were really surprised there were not many products out there to meet this need, and yes, this is waaayyyy cheaper than the SnapPads!!! It's really nice not having to deal with packing and unpacking these. One less thing on our list of to dos when travelling!!

I did invest in the attachment to my drill. It is a couple pounds and something else to pack, but saved me when I had to pack up quickly in a storm.

Duly noted & Thanks for the feedback!! We actually just ordered one, just to have on hand. That's a great point about getting out quick in a storm. Every second counts. Now we won't have to put away our blocks and can get those jacks up quick! 😃

The irony is it takes me a little longer to get the stabilizer pads in place. Where I’m parked for the Memorial Day Weekend, the dirt is soft and I had to readjust. Looking forward to the next video!

That is an interesting idea, never though of attaching the blocks to the jacks, but also not sure if my jacks have the holes to screw a piece of wood to. Having a small tool box set with you could make the difference between tightening a loose hose clamp or a screw on your travel trailer and calling a towing company and having that bill to worry about. The drill and battery should not add extra weight to the rest of your gear, but would be nice to have in that "just in case" time. It kind of looked like it, but not sure, you should use pressure treated 2x4's so they do not rot sooner than later. Another option would be to see if a local hardware store has scrap pieces of composite decking 2x4's. Basically 2x4's made out of plastic. Those would hold up on the wet roads and have minimal damage to them....maybe a permanent install? Thanks for taking the time to share your "hack" with the rest of us! Have fun and enjoy the season!

We appreciate the feedback!! We do keep a small toolkit in the camper and carry tools in the tow vehicle, however, we are still working on putting something a little more specific together. It's always good to be prepared!! We did use treated lumber and I really like your idea about using composite boards. They would last a lot longer. I'll probably consider doing that at some point and make the boards a little deeper so there is less distance to the ground. I'm guessing the holes on ours are maybe just another mounting point that would allow you to mount either set of feet to the underside of the camper. Thanks for watching and Happy Camping!!!

Thanks!! It really helps us set up faster 😀💨. We like our Dawn a lot. We used to do tent camping and had to take so much stuff. With the Dawn, everything but clothes and food are packed so we can roll a lot faster than we used to. A lot less trips loading and unloading. Sleeping arrangements can be tight, but it's sufficient. Overall, as our first RV we are supremely happy 😃 !!

What was the size of the screw and washer? Sorry I’m new to rv life and tools in general

I’m not exactly sure what size for screw and washer. Just happened to be some lying around. I wanna saw it was a half inch washer. These are galvanized, leftover from a deck project.
