So I've already gotten a bunch of DM's and some comments on this video asking - how do you actually apply what I am saying? Like, how do I start talking to people and applying what I've said in this video? - would you want a video on that? I have some great ideas in mind so if you want me to make it I'd be very happy to. It'll basically be an extension to this video, but again, actually applying the information without completely f*cking everything up for yourself if that makes sense, let me know 👊
1. Speak slowly 2. Take a pause before answering to a question 3. Improve vocabulary 4. let go the fear of not speaking well 5. impress yourself first then others
This replicates almost every situation, Take things slower, Think before doing what you do, let go the fear of (whatever), And prove to yourself before others
Well that's the goal man and I am so glad to hear that, but then again, I can sit up here and yap all day - but you need to actually apply the information I am portraying in my videos, and that;s the hardest part. So I truly believe you should give the credit to yourself and not me 👊❤

Same, I'm trying to reverse it over the next few months. I think the best way is to get out there and speak to people because no amount of books or videos can help you if you don't go on to make the changes yourself. Good luck!
I’ve been told I speak too fast, too quiet, too loud, or too much. Sometimes my throat gets all messed up, sometimes I trip over my words. I felt like my brain moved faster than my hands and mouth. But on the other hand, there are times when I can’t say a word, can’t make eye contact, can’t do anything. And don’t get me started on texting. My texts (and sometimes irl conversations) with my ex (and most of my crushes tbh) were so dry and I feel like that was both of our faults. Half the time I’d be too scared to send a text. I’m really glad this video showed up lol, because no one has really offered anything other than “slow down”, “lower your voice”, or “you’re overthinking it”- this is genuinely helpful, especially at the age of 15. I was able to talk to anyone easily and actually be funny. I dont know what happened later on but there was a switch that brought me back to that 6th grade version of me and ever since i have been that version of me. The point is over time you will get more comfortable with the people who surround you. so dont worry if you have anxiety. Just keep pushing yourself out of that comfort zone Much love 👊❤️
This is actually so true bro, and it applies to more people than you think. The ego tends to hate change, and once it familiarises itself with its environment the minds anxiety tends to settle as well. Thanks for your content support man, truly ❤
i love how deep this guy is and how transparent it is. i have been watching Jak for about only 2 months, and i could see the effect jak has had on me just through his videos alone. the relationships i have with people grew stronger and life has never been so great. so happy that I subbed to this man.
I remember when I used to talk to my crush, I thought about it so much and cared about it so much that my face went red anytime I said anything. One thing I realized was that because I had cared so much about the idea of talking to this person at all, I would get so nervous to do that, so I started to not think about having a perfect conversation with that person and just stopped caring about talking to them as much, and I got way better at talking to her. Turns out it worked and now we’re dating. Thanks for the advice Jak, your content is amazing 👍
Thank you Jak. This really helps me. Before seeing your video I was analyzing why I am scared of people that have a higher “status”. Your video really helps me set a base. Keep going with the videos, you’ve changed lives.
You are someone that everyone 16-23 year olds should be listening to. Im 17, trying to be a better person and grow up. Only recently have I thought that the way I communicate is a big part of what people think of me. Thank you so much. Keep doing what you are doing, keep changing lives for the better. Also, to everyone reading this, read more books. It will help you to talk more clearly.
I actually finished my Profesional Communication course this spring as part of my study program, and I can definitely agree with the points you made there. I think there is no definitive answer for everybody as to why dry conversations occur in their communication or 'clutter', but your example with water comes close - it is usually the barriers that exist before the conversation begins in the first place that hold somebody back, and it can be very different from person to person. Things like how respectable you come off and how you yourself feel about it etc. Once again, thanks for sharing your toughts and experiences. They are cherished by many. Stay real, yeah. ❤
100% man, I truly believe (at least in my experience anyway) that once the anxiety is gone you can speak truthfully and freely even without the greatest of communication skills. It's like the foundation of a house (which is your confidence) if that isn't built the whole house will collapse, and it doesn't matter how good it looks 👊
I relate a lot to the feeling of “if something awkward happens, my reputation is ruined”. I do wonder if I am just overthinking things though many of the times. I also relate a lot to ”when something doesn’t go how I want, I work really hard to make it right, or prevent it from happening again”. So much relatability in this video

I can talk to whoever I want to (it could be just a random stranger) just fine. but when I try to talk to my crush or anybody that I really like, I don't know what the hell to say and then I just feel like a terrible person wasting their time for nothing. Jak, your videos are so good i literally cannot stop watching your videos. I want to thank you because you changed me so much.
Since i saw you while scrolling, It made me realize i had to finally take action, and i'd say if it wasn't for you I would probably not be as I am right now, Thanks man
This is not my account, but I'm still gonna comment from this account. This video was literally what I was looking for. The women / teacher thing was way too relatable. And you gave a perfect solution to it! It took me like 15 years to realise what was the solution to everything like the lack of confidence (the best example would be what you just said.) Thank you very much, Jak Piggott. (Please correct any grammatical mistakes that I had just made in this comment, English isn't my native language)
I realized a while ago that the way to talk slow and have pauses without awkwardness is to just be chill but confident and go with the flow of the conversation.
Hello! I know you might not see this but I just needed a space to vent. Recently I’ve had a mental breakdown. Something I thought I was past. Much like yourself, I strive to be the best version of myself I can because I expect better, and because I know I can do better. However, I am tied to these limitations of doubt and uncertainty. For years, everything in my life has been a mistake and has been premeditated until now. I never thought I would get this far and I was always set up for failure. Anytime I start to make progress I keep getting lost in the idea that no matter what I do it will never be enough. No work, no goal, no effort is ample enough because the intention I have set for myself years back will always lead me to the same outcome. And because of this, I keep falling back on old habits. Some people say I’m too hard on myself, if not, all. But I can’t see that because I know better than that. I know who I am and the type of person I am. I never had a good foundation of myself to fall back on. I’m not doing enough because I consider it to be the bare minimum or less compared to anyone else. I’m just making excuses is what it is.
Hey Jak, this was a really good video, and a perfect timing, because when you said "find the root cause of my anxiety", I started to think and I sailed on the thought of my main issue. Basically, *everything I do, every video game I play, anything, I am bad/clumsy at*. Some of my classmates even bully me because of it, and it's starting to get to a point where I'm afraid to do anything in front of them. I didn't check whether you have made a video on this or not, but if you haven't, I'd really appreciate it if you made one. But don't get me wrong, this is not the bullying concept, but rather the emphasis is on me being bad at everything. Thank you, much love bro ❤👊
When I used to be extroverted, I hated having relationships with teachers or talking to them like we were friends but today I'm this introverted person who really wants to communicate but feels insecure and wants to have at least a good relationship with one teacher. At some point as an introverted person, I did but I couldn't hold the relationship.
This music is good for some types of videos - however, be aware of the mood impact a song has on a video; the change in atmosphere. I enjoyed listening to your insight.
1. Speak slowly 2. Wait at least 3 seconds before you answer important questions 3. Improve your vocabulary 4. you don't have to impress everybody. The most important thing is that you impress yourself 5. let go of the fear of not speaking well. (I think taking a deep breath before starting the conversation will help)
One thing I keep in mind when I try to speak slower because I struggle with speaking fast is to speak like I’m reading a book, and take time to get the words out right.
Hi jac. How are you doing today? If you’re having a rough day I hope you’re day gets better. If you are having a good day then keep the positive energy.
one of the best things I've done to improve my communication is to sometimes take a few seconds to formulate my words, I'll be like "sorry, can you give me a second to figure out what I'm trying to say?" and I take a few seconds to think deeply about what were talking about and find some string to follow in the conversation. we are trying to improve communication so communicating that something isn't quite right and you need a minute to figure it out is generally a good thing.
So I've already gotten a bunch of DM's and some comments on this video asking - how do you actually apply what I am saying? Like, how do I start talking to people and applying what I've said in this video? - would you want a video on that? I have some great ideas in mind so if you want me to make it I'd be very happy to. You explained the situation I currently have quite perfectly. I even talked to a life coach about these things but it felt too awkward to do or listen to anything they said. Your words perfectly communicated through to me. Thank you.
Hey bro. Just wanted to thank you for starting this channel. It’s helped me through some of my darkest moments and for that I can’t thank you enough. Keep doing what you do and keep inspiring people to be better.
this guy is the most relatable guy to me in the planet
love the content brother, we've all been through tough times and i love how you can stand up and help others
"i lacked attention from women so i valued it so much"
i never realised that shit till today, i actually valued it so much more than it deserved to be valued
Bro i dont know what kind of witchcraft you know but , your insane , this is the exact thing i was worrying about 30 min ago
Bro u are such a amazing person.i hope you realize how many people you are helping.love you man❤
As a person professionally diagnosed with autism, and although i am not on the severe end or on a noticeable end, I have always had trouble communicating ideas or words to people. Recently ive forced myself to talk to people and I've gotten a lot better at talking. thanks!
I’ve gotta say you have been a massive inspiration to me and influenced me to change my life and get the most out of it.
You changed my life, you made me appreciate everything. I couldn't thank you more. You seriously changed my life Jak. I love you bro, I wanna meet you one day and give you a hug bro.
i feel like every thing he says i can relate to and that is why I love his content
This actually helped a lot with me. I’m not the greatest communicator when it comes to some people so thank you for this advice Jak! As always :]
2:24 Playing GTA4, I see a man of culture.
Minecraft music fits this type of content so much
Aye let's go, I play it while I'm editing sometimes and I reckon it makes the final outcome of the video so much better, it might just be me though 😂
@@JakPiggott you should go to other c418 songs, not just subwoofer lullaby
This shit ain't minecraft music no more, this is C418 music, mojang (microsoft puppetering) threw him to the curb, do not worship false idols
Don't worry top much tho, i get that C418 is famous through minecraft, and some people simply don't know, i wish you a good day
Jak, your videos are so good i literally cannot stop watching your videos. You have such a cool mentality and you speak so good, like i could listen to what you say every single day and would remember every single word from what you would say. Its crazy but its true :D. I want to thank you because you changed me so much.
Since i saw you while scrolling, It made me realize i had to finally take action, and i'd say if it wasn't for you I would probably not be as I am right now, Thanks man
Before i watch the video, i wanna thank you soooo much for your content helping me out, im forever grateful ❤
the minecraft music in the background is so nostalgic
I really love the way you tell 'O'WATA (Water)...
This is not my account, but I'm still gonna comment from this account.
This video was literally what I was looking for. The women / teacher thing was way too relatable. And you gave a perfect solution to it! It took me like 15 years to realise what was the solution to everything like the lack of confidence (the best example would be what you just said.)
Thank you very much, Jak Piggott.
(Please correct any grammatical mistakes that I had just made in this comment, English isn't my native language)
I realized a while ago that the way to talk slow and have pauses without awkwardness is to just be chill but confident and go with the flow of the conversation.
"when you impress yourself then you impress that certain somebody" 👌🏻❤️💪🏻
Thank you bro, you always seem to lighten my mood whilst making these videos. Keep it up
keep up the good work jak
Will do brother, thank you for your support ❤
Me being 21 and thinking i figured myself out a lot better. I just got great advice, thanks man!
Thanks Jak, always good to be reminded of these things.
Why is this on my recommendations? I don’t need a lesson on how to avoid bad convos, i just automatically have that rizz in me
(I’ve fumbled 15 girls)
You have actually helped me a lot since I started watching you a few weeks ago. thank you man.
"awkward silence isn't actually awkward, its because you make it akward." this is the realeast thing i think ive ever seen
I’ve waited for this video for so long, thanks bro!
This music is good for some types of videos - however, be aware of the mood impact a song has on a video; the change in atmosphere. I enjoyed listening to your insight.
I thought this was actually going to make ma magnetic like I could control metal but I only saw the thumbnail
1. Speak slowly
2. Wait at least 3 seconds before you answer important questions
3. Improve your vocabulary
4. you don't have to impress everybody. The most important thing is that you impress yourself
5. let go of the fear of not speaking well. (I think taking a deep breath before starting the conversation will help)
i really appreciate your videos, jak. seriously, love all your advice
Dale Carnegie. Thats the name of the man who wrote how to win friends and influence people.
Great content , and i really like the fact that your videos aren't streched out.Good luck buddy 1 mil is soo close🎉
Social skills r so important u can change everything
It is starting to alarm me on how many of your videos i relate to and need 😭
Bro you are really going to help me improve my life, thank you. Keep makin' videos like this
Such a valuable video. I have been doing this for almost a year, but this video made me remember some of the key things!
I'm going to try but when I'm in person talking its so much more awkward but thank you so much your saving lives!
sheeeesh this video is awesome. the vibe with the minecraft music and the forest bro nice work
I love how Jack has a story for everything! =)
