Grew up on Mockingbird Ln and UHL. Be careful the closer you get to UHL if you move there. Tornado season can get pretty scary in that spot. Had one go right through my childhood home the day after Christmas 2015. To whoever moved in at 1631, I hope you got to know the neighbors around you, they were a big part of my growing up and are some pretty amazing people.

So I moved to Desoto back in 1997..back then it was still mostly dirt and a few older homes on the east side and 96% white…anyone looking to get out the hood and raise a family knew this was the “IT” city due to Desoto high rated school district, safe parks, affordable housing, great commute to major cities..now you cannot pay me to live in Desoto, there’s a reason why housing is the most affordable here (and Lancaster) compared to cities also surrounding the dfw area..the crime, the schools district is a joke, parents looking to enroll in neighboring districts or charters should raise concerns. Commercial investors won’t built any thing other then nails shops, chicken/seafood places, storage units, beauty supply, donut, and wine…residents are forced to drive into other cities for diversity..
