I'm from L.A. buy have been down to DeSoto , Lancaster and the surrounding areas several times visiting family friends and in some cases , the front yards are small but get to the backyard and it opens up with a lots of space. And in some cases, more space than what you can find in most LA backyards ( of course I'm in far an between backyards since I live in a condo building). I love Dallas, Tony Bennett may have left his ❤️ in San Francisco, but this born and bred L.A. girl lost hers to Dallas and can't wait until what we've been going through with 'Rona is over because I'm itching to get back down there.

This is very true , but depending on how far out you want to go, you can get a decent size lot. That’s usually pretty far out though. In the DFW area, you will often see a home even 5000 square feet literally 10 ft from your neighbor lol! This is mainly with newer homes as the builder is trying to maximize the amount of houses they put in a neighborhood for them 💰!

The news is accurate. My power just came back up this morning. Still no water and internet is off and on. Even with mobile data. Texas is not for everyone as I always say. It's what you make of it just like anywhere else. Life happens!!! Some people can survive in extreme situations and some can't. All I suggest is to pray for the less fortunate people and soon this too will pass.

Try Red Oak, Ovilla or Cedar Hill they are right next to Desoto and have better built homes.
