    Born and raised in Dallas I been around a bit but it’s like anywhere else you go. Don’t go anywhere you don’t belong and mind your business and you’ll be fine. Find out where the real hoods are and if you don’t live there stay away! But like you said crime is everywhere. Just gotta stay aware and safety first!

    Oouu this video is quite helpful, I'm supposably moving to somewhere in Tx all the way from Ohio. I have to help my parents ofc find safe places to live within 45 minutes of dallas TX, thats the hard part obvi. I've seen a lot of crime rates that have went all the way from "theft" to "simple stalking" stalking was a no-go on that property ofc. I will make def recommend your channel to my parents and keep up with some new information bout' the Lone Star State :)

    Born and raised in Dallas, all I can say is damn the price of housing has sky rocketed! I don't really blame everyone wanting to move to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. There's a lot of money here, and the economy has always been good.
    I grew up in the city but this was the 90s when it was very bad. That was when gang banging was the thing, and a big Jamaican Gang ran Oak Cliff. I got jumped a lot when I was a kid. It's no where near as bad because all of those fools are either locked up, dead or grew up and chilled out. Really all there is are a bunch of youngsters that just act a fool. But most of the hoods are quiet and you will be fine even if you accidentally got lost and ended up in one. It's just as any major city, know how to carry yourself, mind your business, don't present yourself as a victim. Looking scared, lost, nosey, etc. Most ppl are friendly and even in the hood.
    Now it's a major Metropolitan area period. Look at Dallas/Ft. Worth like the twin cities of the Southwest. So there's random crime in the city of course. Drug use is high too, it's a major hub for drug trafficking. Everyone says don't go south of 30, well there's hoods in north Dallas. But it's segregated by class, you could be off Northwest Highway and 35E and you'll see prostitutes, homeless, drug use, traps, etc. It's also where all the strip clubs are at go figure. But go 3 miles North East and you'll be by million dollar homes. 3 miles dead east are the Park Cities(Dallas vs of Beverly Hills, it was in fact designed by the same man that designed the lay out for Beverly Hills) Then you have the ultra wealthy in Preston Wood area where George Bush Lives, a lot of celebs, rock stars, and sports stars live there. But crime there is nil, I mean it happens just not often. Definitely not in the Park Cities. They have their own police and if you don't belong you will be escorted out the city.
    There's random crazies but so are there in every major city. Like 8 months ago some pos was randomly shooting and murdering ppl because he could. But they found his ass pretty quick. I lived in Ft. Worth and it's even better there. Ppl are nicer, as long as you weren't in the hood you were good. Just like anywhere, and the suburbs are nice. I'd say the worst ones with the most crime would be Arlington, Irving, Garland, Cockerel Hill, parts of Lancaster and DeSoto. The further north you go the nicer it get. Just about anything in Denton and Collin Counties north of Dallas are safe.
    Over all I'd say the Metroplex as a whole is fairly safe. But with the rising price of housing, a lot of ppl are moving further north to the Sherman area. They've slowly Gentrified parts of Dallas. There's high end high rises were projects once stood in West Dallas. So it's not the same city at some parts.
    My biggest advice is just be smart. Don't leave your car unlocked, be respectful, mind your business, and don't be nosey. This is for when you're deep in the city. Parts of North Dallas, East Dallas have bad areas. Mainly everyone says Pleasant Grove, South Dallas, West Dallas and Oak Cliff are the high crime areas. But the damn Zoo is in Oak Cliff, the State Fair is in South Dallas. Ppl get lost in these areas all the time. They aren't going to be like oh there's a rich person go rob him. Unless you're doing something to bring unwanted attention to yourself you're good. The suburbs you have nothing to worry about. I'm mainly speaking of the suburbs North the area considered The Greater Dallas area. They are the cities north of the suburbs that surround the actual city of Dallas. These area all have heavy police presence and low crime.
    It's a great place to live and there's always plenty to do. I just kind of hate it how ppl in the suburbs always have something negative to say about the city. They act like you have to have your doors locked at all times. They make it sound like it's a live GTA simulator here. If the city was so bad, there wouldn't be 250k high rise apt building in Downtown and Uptown.

      Everything is so on point fam I live in dallas & what you said is correct probably Arlington is not a bad area or irving but in the north of dallas is northwest dallas webbchapel probably only bad hood in the north & the the south got a couple & west 2 & pleasant grove is probably the worst in dallas

    • @nowimhigh
      @nowimhigh 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dominicesparza2196 no N. Dallas has a lot of hoods. Hamilton Park is one. I grew up there. All of those apts from Skillman and Audelia. From Walnut St and Forest Ln from Plano Rd going all.the way down to 75. Thats where Mo3 wss allegedly claiming. Turns out he was from the mean streets of McKinney lol.
      Take Audelia dowm from Walnut St south all.the way to NW Hwy its all the shit. From Coit all the way up to 190 George Bush turnpike. Well it used to be bad. Just like Park Ln was dangerous back then. Pleasant Grove is safe for me it is, worst parts are off by 175 and Lake June. Same with Hatchet shreet but they tore all of those trap housed down. S. Dallas sure theres plenty of hoods. I actually enjoyed loving there.
      Its really how u carry and present urself. Real recognize real str8 up.
      And yeah I write "novels" ppl have evolved to read only 180 characters at a time. Sad wait til they go to college and have to read a real book. So yeah if my comment is a novel then i feel bad for ppl that lack reading comprehension. I know u only wrote that in jest. Unfortunately many have become so lazy. I was enlightening the ppl with gems. Whatever stay in California or where ever. Tired of these slow as drivers anyeays

    I lived in Arlington back in 2015 and 16. My people are from Oak Cliff, Lancaster, and de Soto. I ate whataburger for the fist time and went crazy , had to make myself stop eating it everyday, then I found Genghis Grill in Arlington and that was the spot for me. I drove all over Texas when I first got there not knowing where I was going. And not one time did I ever feel lost , it was the first place that I had ever been in my entire life where I never felt lost not one time. I love Texas, and the people down there are super cool. If you go down there looking for trouble then that’s what you will find. I had fun liven there, and I’m going back in October. I’m going to transfer my job down there. So I’ll be seeing the lone star again baby!
