    I think it being a toss up speaks volumes for how shootable the cr920 is. I think the comp makes a huge difference on getting back on target quicker, and the dot as well. I'm curious if you put the shield sight on the cr920 if you would prefer it to the hellcat lol great video man! I'm excited to shoot mine hopefully sooner than later.

      I absolutely agree! I do plan on running the shield on the cr920 eventually! Once I get that on I'll re visit this topic! I want to put a few hundred more rounds through the shadow before the full review. Enjoying it so far though!

    I've been concealed carrying for 10 years and have carried 6 different guns ranging from full sized, revolver, subcompact to micro. My most recent purchase for carry is the hellcat rdp w/wasp and it has the best carry comfort to shoot ability I've owned. The most shootable being my first gun XDM but extremely uncomfortable to carry and my most comfortable to carry was the 709 slim but was the absolute worst shooter I've ever had(a hand-me-down from my mother). But the rdp was my first foray into red dot sight carry and i admittedly thought it to be a gimmick but it grew on me super fast.
    *edit*: i have carried strong side, back, pocket and appendix but appendix is by far my favorite and I've been carrying like that for maybe 4 years.

      Awesome!! I really like the insite, the hellcat rdp really is an underrated gun due to people thinking it's a gimmick. I'm glad you enjoy yours! Thanks for watching!👍

      @@gunpowderandprotein3444 im also guilty of the gimmick jokes, but i was lucky enough to get to shoot one before even considering buying one and as of right now its my end all be all carry gun. But who knows what thw future tells. My first handgun at 21yo was my end all be all at the time.

    Just from Looking it seemed the CR was Shooting a Smudge Flatter it was not flipping up as much and looked just Flatter shooting I guess and it is a little tough comparing when one has Irons and the other an optic which would help get back on target faster at least for me but they both seem awesome. Tough Choice

    • @gunpowderandprotein3444
      @gunpowderandprotein3444  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Eventually I will probably put an optic on the shadow so that defiantly could be why it seems to drop on target quickly for sure, both great options!

    Now do the same comparison with the CR920P (compensated) vs Hellcat RDP.
    I have a CR920P. Shoots very flat and smooth. The drigger did get noticably better after about 2-300 rounds.

      The shield is a good choice as well. It comes down to capacity for me with keeping a small size and the cr920 having a higher capacity and in my opinion better sights I prefer the shadow!

      @@LeviMakesYT I have shot both but I have more experience with the shadow. For me personally the cr920. But I have a Smith and wesson csx and in my opinion that shoots better than the cr920, but the csx is also heavier and is a double action vs a striker

    How’s the grip angle on the CR920? Is it like a Glock or traditional like a 1911? If it’s angled like a Glock it will be a no go for me but if they fixed the Glocks grip angle with their design I will be seriously looking into getting one. That is if HK doesn’t drop a micro 9 at the NRA show in Texas at the end of the month. I’ve been hearing rumors…

    • @gunpowderandprotein3444
      @gunpowderandprotein3444  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      So it leans more towards 1911. A little more neutral that way, unlike the 920's it does not have removable back straps on my model. But I like the grip angle personally!

      I don't have the cr920 but I do have the mr918 elite (their basically gen1 of the mr920 being gen2) and I absolutely love it. Can't recall which back strap is on it but I absolutely love it especially over a glock. Having a hard time deciding between cr920 xr920 or a fn 509 tactical.

    Personally, I would never carry a pistol with a compensator. There is too much risk of getting hit by shrapnel or hot gasses if you shoot with the pistol close to your body like you might potentially need to in a self-defense scenario.

    I don't understand why anyone is still supporting Springfield after they turned their backs on gun owners. Love the cr920 and enjoy switching between it and my ppks for a BUG. But, not as a main. All these micro compacts are great but should you find yourself in an actual self defense scenario. You're gonna wish you had something with a full grip and almost double the rounds.
