hey uh my hdmi to vga adapter dosent have a charger port and theres no signal when i plug the hdmi in my ps4? i cant get a rellacement

You have that resolution because you have a 4:3 monitor, and a tv is 16:9, so you need a more modern monitor with 16:9 resolution
i mean why would i do this if i can afford a modern monitor 😊

I was about to make the same mistake you did on your first try (straight up connecting your ps4 to your monitor). Clearly, I see it needs that hdmi switch/splitter. Now, I have the hdmi to vga converter. If I may ask, where did you buy your hdmi switch/splitter? I have old monitor also from way back in 2009 and still working and I'm planning to do this too.
dont use the hbmi switch in this video the better one is tesla spliter and cheap

I didn't need a converter that has 5v power port in it(there are some with some sort of charging ports in the market) but it did have audio cable to connect it to my old speakers. I just got one hdmi switch that has 5v power port in it to change the signal from digi to analog. Now I get to play on my monitor from back in 2009. :D just make sure to follow the instruction in the vid regarding the resolution so it's gon be compatible with your console. So hdmi to vga converter WITH audio and Hdmi switch WITH 5v power port for the console to recognize the signal.

I followed all the steps you mentioned and still didnt work so i went to reddit and some guy suggested disabling hdcp from ps4 settings which i did and after that i plugged it back to monitor and ot worked.

bro i bought adapter from dvi to hdmi you know dvi to monitor and go hdmi cable from playstation to adapter and this doesnt works! i try on tv change resolution to 720 p and lower and thats dont works "grey screen" and what is the best. when i go safe mode and try to change resolution or something the monitor says "Out of range". Pls help i dont know what i have to do and i like to play monitor.

Bought an ACTIVE hdmi to vga adapter from shopee. The active one does not need the HDMI switcher. I will give an update once I received the item.

to change the resolution you go to playstation settings on the playstation scroll down to sound and screen and click change resolution

I followed all the instructions step by step but still the same. I even put it to 480 while it's blinking but no luck.
@@KiddoSh1n you need a usb barrel jack 3.5mm because the PS4 doesn’t have enough power to operate the splitter and get the signal through buy that and plug it in the hdmi splitter into any normal plug hope This helps if you still don’t understand I can shout you a vid explaining this

the first method didnt work coz your hdmi to vga converter did have a micro usb port to strengthen the connection

you neednt the converter, 1. press power button and hold you hear first click, and than after 7 secnds you hear the second click, restar ps4 than you are in safe mod and make the resolution to auto.

5v power supply is required also try changing resolution to 720p or lower
