Great video netcruzer! As somewhat of a newbie and a cheetah owner and someone who has never seen a diff opened this video helped me immensely! Had the diff break on my cheetah and this video was perfect in every way for helping me figure out how to dismantle and put back together. Great vid 👍🏻👍🏻
Nice...thanks for the diff built. I recently tried to rebuild the diff but all those small pins is such a hassle for me so I just replace the whole unit but thanks again for the build. I will definitely try to build when my diff give out again. 👍👍

Nicely done...I have gone thru the same failure with my rear diff and you have shown exactly how to do it with clarity. Thank you so much. I must say, I don't find this car very durable, even though I like the model a lot. I don't know if you have gone thru this yet yourself, but because of the wheelie bar, and the way I have landed on it first sometimes from a jump, I found that it contributed to a slight inward bend on the rear shock tower causing my body lugs /holes to suddenly be misaligned. I have now solved this issue by inserting a threaded rod in the middle of the two shock towers. And just to show how much force is being exerted on the shock towers, I can tell you that I even managed to bend the threaded rod slightly, so the pressure upon landing from a jump was certainly there. Would have been worse without it I believe. It's a great little truck, I just wish it was stronger in certain areas.

Do you think the Cheetah is worth almost $300 ?
Value for money is decent, better than big brands. But driving dynamics are definitely worse. It's a fun truck because I don't care about it and am willing to bash it till it dies. For me that was worth the few hundred dollars, and it's fast.

My cheetah when i disassemble the diff there is no washer shim on the four bevel gear inside....is it okay?
I can't get the pin out before getting the OP-DOG-BONE out! the pin is completely tight ... but my JLB cheetah is new I used WD-40 and it just wouldn't come off! how do i get that pin out? please help!
I only have rear wheels power is the diff?
Hey I know this is mad old vid but did u ever have probs with the gears in the diffs spider gears I’m just ripping mine apart ring & pinion on the diffs are good just wondering

Is the diff box really seal enough that the oil doesn't leak?
Yes, there is a waxy paper gasket too between the diff cup and ring gear.

How is your Cheetah going, I just finally got round to repairing mine, darn bearings disintegrated :)
Sold it many years ago. The diffs held up but the rear link design was too sloppy for me
Does the cheetah have a slipper clutch?
I’d have to say sort of. LOL. It has a spur with plates but I’ve never had it slip and I’ve not been able to loosen it. It’s effectively locked center.
Netcruzer RC TECH CARS You can definitely loosen the slipper clutch to have it slip. I have done it to mine so it has a hard time even pulling a wheelie, I bash it and jump it so I need it to slip 😉
I'm a newbie at this and I have a JBL Cheetah if I have to do that I will call YOU LOLOL or buy a new one.... Thanks for the schooling.
+Tank 62 I think you can buy a prebuilt differential for this if you do need to repair or replace it someday.
My frontdiff is broken and I had to exchange it. Now turn the wheels very hard and in the same direction. What did I do wrong?
I put the New original diff in, without open it!? I think its ready to run?
The wheels should be easy to rotate?
+Basata 86 should be easy to rotate in all ways. Hold truck in air and two spin each wheels together and see if you can feel where it binds. Something's too tight or misaligned. Could you rotate the diff in your hand like I showed after rebuild?

So, I've now expanded everything again and even opened the diff.
Oil is enough in it.
The problem seems to me the Diff! The two axes can only be rotated with force against each other.
In the built-in state, this solves a direct drive on the pinion ...
I have now made the 4 screws of the differential somewhat loose so that the whole inner life slightly easier to move.
But the Tires dont spin easy like the Rear :-(
meaby i have to drive the Car and then its better..?
can i put a car gear oil? like sae 90 rating? hahah...
