    Love it Sandi! I have always wanted to take advantage of the sale prices on costume jewelry, but never had a concrete idea of what to use them for. Now, I do! How extremely creative! Thank you for the wonderful idea! 💖🎄💕

    I've done trees, angels, teapots, flowers...all types of shapes. My technique is different....but same idea. Beautiful work

    Fabulous! But the best thing I learned was the blow dryer trick to get rid of the glue webs! Brilliant!

    My mom, her 3 sisters & my grandmother all made these years ago😊 I have lots of things in my stash!🎄I'm going to suggest this as our craft at our cookie exchange if we can have one this year(with mom & my 3 sisters & 4 nieces, cousin & aunt!)

      Great idea!! Dawn, I check clearance at JoAnn Fabrics and Hobby Lobby, they have some great pieces sometimes and garage sales through the summer.

      They are fun. Kids can make them with button. I once saw an antique button one that was fabulous.

    Hi, this is fabulous, may I suggest using tweezers also when hot gluing little things that way fingers don’t get burned, I particularly like your hint for using the hair dryer, I didn’t know this before you showed us, awesome tip, thanks 😉

    Did you say that you used hot glue to glue some or all of the pieces to the velvet ?

      O have a art core behind it so I can stick some of them in through the velvet but yes I use hot glue.

    I am about to make a jewelry tree, but I am afraid to use hot glue because I and live in Texas. If I were to move at any time during the summer I’m afraid that the pieces would melt off!

    So did you leave all of the backs on the jewelry & push them through, then glue it or did you remove the backs first? I understand the concept of leaving them on sticking them through on some, but what about those that are bulky on the back & won’t go through & makes them uneven?
    I do really love this idea! Would make a great family
    Heirloom!

      If it is to bulky snipe the back off. I usually push them through the material, if you are using a foam core the back will push into the core but if you are using wood in the back, snipe the backs off.
