@@johnbon229 I had to take it to a place to get it fixed because it had some more stuff going on with it, but yes I got it fixed and this was one of the problems with it.
Yeah i had the same problem, it turned out to be a fault with the power brick, luckily the console was still under the instore warranty and the store changed out the power brick for me.. 😊👍
Haha, maybe one day when I have more confidence. I think im a scaredy-cat at heart, i dont want an electrical 'love jolt' any time soon.. haha. Glad you enjoyed the vid :)
@@SimpleShaun80 Having watched YT and seeing the same problem I had with a washing machine it turned into a floor covered in washing machine parts. Lol. Yes I did put it back together and it worked. Just be careful of high voltage caps IN ANY EQUIPMENT. Keep learning. ⚡👍
i have same issue with my xbox one s, just bought a multimeter to look into it, then came across your video and was really chuffed when i saw you had the same multimeter lol. my PSU is fine though so time to look elsewhere!
Thanks for the comment :)... Xbox Ones have common issues with power problems. 1 is the PSU, 2nd one is to do with the MOSFETs, I have a video on how to diagnose those too, and there is a guy on youtube called Andrew Paul, his videos are very detailed and cover a wide range of hardware and software problems / fixes.. I hope one of these videos helps you
@@MrFruitflan That sucks :(... the difficulty level shoots right up after those tests as it could be (in order of likelihood) southbridge, APU or HDMI IC retimer chip... there is a channel thecod3r, he usually does repairs that goes a lot more deep level, maybe you will find something useful, however, he has a lot of videos to sift through. keep me up to date with what you do though :), i always like to hear stories, and good luck :)
I am having this issue on Xbox Series S. It beeps, and chimes once but dies off the very next second. Funny as it may sound, it came back yesterday. I kept it on for 2 hours. But when I shut it down to try turning it on again, it regressed to chime, beep, and off state. Watching your video, I suppose I too need a new PSU.
Mate i have the exact issue on my xbox one s. Sometimes it doesn’t turn and sometimes it will turn on and I could keep playing for many hours with no issues at all. It’s weird
@@xnojen Thanks for replying mate. I wanted to buy a PSU but I am on a budget and don't want to end up discovering later that the issue was with the power rail on the motherboard all along. Yes, it is weird but also frustrating. lol
i tried to charge my vape battery and it caused me xbox to turn off wtf did i do the light starts up but it makes a weird noise and doesn’t boot up to the hdmi screen thing

Bought a used Xbox one s. Dude said it wont turn on so I decided to fix it and see if its possible. When you plug it in it makes the chime sound and the logo lights up but immediately turns back off. No fan activity or nothing PLEASE HELP
Actually seeing you fix something that my xbox one s has done has given my confidence to try and fix it myself. Thank you

I'm disappointed. I was hoping for a power supply repair video. Hope that's in your pocket the next time around.
Maybe - as I get more confident doing repairs and understanding how electronics work I may start to push those boundaries
My Xbox one x just did this an hour and I only got it last week new
I hope you get it swapped out quickly, sounds like rotten luck there
