I practically never comment anything on youtube but now I want to give huge thanks to you! I had my omron scale's display broken for nearly a decade and after watching this video I got it repaired in 15 mins. This is nothing less than sorcery, thank you!

This approach works for me! Just cleaning was not enough, I had to lube a motor axle to eliminate error 1.

It worked perfectly. I used a soldering iron instead of a heat gun and a hair dryer. I very gently went over the contacts with the soldering iron several times and bang, it works. Thanks

Just to add to info, I found that if anything gets dragged into the wheel arch, this error will present itself and I have to unplug and re-plug in the wheel module to clear the fault. 👍🏽

Thanks for the video, my grandma just gave me hers. she bought it like 3-4 years ago and barely used it once or twice and then put it back in box, it keeps doing 4 beeps when done charging with the red light steady on, it works fine and does the job impeccable but then it wont stop the beaping, could it still be a bad battery when the vacuum is practically new ? The only way to make it stop is unplugging the charging cord. Thank you ! Hope you see this after so many years.

i have the same problem in sencor 4000gd but i can move the wire. the wire is too short and the clips ara hard to remove . you can n just pull it of. any ideas?

Thank you Shaun !!! I haven’t used my Omron in over 5 years and was about to toss it and order another one. But i came across this video and said why not try it 😂. By my ultimate surprise i used my drill , a hairdryer , time and patience , 30 minutes later it works again ! Thank you so much 😊

If you still get the same error after a new battery. Try pressing the main button on the top and push the pumper at the same time (10 sec) until the error stops

Thanks - you inspired me to look our old "dead" Robovac, "Humphrey". Turns out I never put the springs back on the wheel motors after replacing them follow the feline diarrhoea incident. So it would just stall on carpet, but work fine on floors.

Sorry but this didn't work for me. I have a 5 mgh wifi and it says it only works with a 2.4 mgh

I just want to add - both wheels should show friction when they're working correctly. in my case a cog in each wheel mechanism had issues.

I had this issue today, son the wheels a bit to no avail, then came across your video. I was just about ready to check the connection and decided to spin the wheels a bit more and then it worked!

My scales had been in storage for 2 years while we were searching for a new house. They demonstrated this fault and, before I junked them, I looked at this. After two minutes with my wife's Dyson hair dryer, It worked perfectly! I couldn't believe it could have been such a simple fix. Well done Shaun

Thank you soo much! My almost brand new eufy x9 pro gave me the same error message and I already saw that one wheel was moving not as freely as the other one. I will try to cure it like you did. My first idea was that there might be fibers from the carpet somewhere clogging up the wheel's bearing so it would be nice to look between the rim and the cover behind it. I will try that.

Replaced my battery and it still beeps :(

Due to similar LCD issues, I had already opened my BF511 once and had tried to give some pressure with a small spatula to the ribbon cable. I did have the right hunch where the problem would be. However just physical pressing the ribbon did nothing. Of course I should've first checked youtube for tips. After giving some heat treatment with a heat gun together with some pressure, I could identify the bad contact in the ribbon. And after a few delicate heat rounds, I could get the display back fully. Thanks for the enormously helpful tip, you saved one more scale today :)

The scale you used in the end isn't the broken one, it is obvious from location of the dust patches. So I suppose you couldn't assemble it back after you broke holding plastic pins there.

What about those who don’t have a Wifi router connection at home ? How should they the device to wifi?
