- This is a very cool Prada bag, unfortunately the lining has seen better days. We removed the inferior material and replaced it with Pink Leather. Also cleaned, conditioned and added a water repellent spray to finish it off. ///BAG RESTORATION///

Prada knows what it’s doing. Most people who can afford these bags will just buy a new one every few years. Why I’m such a fan of Steve, he’s fighting against our disposable-based marketplace!
Or more. I watch people on TH-cam buy bags constantly. It's ridiculous! I usually get a new bag every year. I get mine from outlets stores or Marshalls though. I was excited to find a cobbler to repair my favorite crossbody strap for $20. My puppy chewed it. I was so upset bc every place I called wanted $90, which is more than I paid for the bag. Anyway next week I'll get my fave back:)
I'm one of those hobbiest guys that you talk about in the video. Very thankful for all your knowledge and tricks.
It's hard to believe. For what these women pay for a Proda bag, it would have a real leather liner. Better then factory, thanks for sharing 👍.
Yea, it says Made in Italy, but looks more like Made in China...😀
I though this was hand made.
@@jacksbob8746Hand made, in a Prada factory, using some sub par materials.
Now that the quality has been upgraded its not "genuine" Prada bag, haha. You only pays for the badge not the quality.
The extra $$$$ one pays for designer garbage is the entry fee for belonging to a club I don’t care about. I hand make my own leather bags, and they last a lifetime. But I’m not trying to pop them tags.
I absolutely LOVE IT when you “trigger” people by sharpening disposable razor blades. I laugh my @$$ off every time! Much love brother.
STEVE, You are doing a great job by turning this highly profile ladies bags into one of the best then they will capitalize on good work to do on their next job and sell it at high prices. So you are the best. Take a look the kind of leather they used and kind you used , yours is more better than what this expensive company used . YOU ARE THE BEST AND STAY BLESS.
If Prada wanted to save money by not using a leather lining and had used instead a plain, uncoated, decent quality fabric, there would have been no problem. The coating working loose is the shoddy result of penny-pinching. Excellent work, young man. 🇬🇧
It's because it was made to look like leather. Unfortunately, we have also seen this in Chanel bags.
Stunning job! I adore that lining color against the outside color. And that lining leather looks soft like buttah!!
Awesome upgrade. The owner is going to be thrilled. That bag is now elegantly perfect.
💯
That's right Master Steve.
This is how a liner should be done.
Amazing job, as always 👍👏👏
Massive improvement on the Prada bag Steve. Looking at your hands I did not realize how much damage leather work does. I have worked with sheet metal and did not sustain that kind of damage. Here's to you sir.
I started sharpening my disposable blades, I never thought about it until I watched this channel.
Man when I hung drywall for a living, I kept a small file in my nail pouches to sharpen my razor knife blades everyday otherwise I’d have gone through 100 a day
Beautiful work on this beautiful piece. Thanks Steve. Let’s continue!
What a gorgeous bag! As always, you did an amazing job, too.
So true.
i've been binge watching your bag restoration videos and normally i'd be like "that's enough of high quality bags for me" but i'm more like "damn i need all of these these are beautiful 😍🤩"
I thought that looked like Bick4 coming out of that squeeze bottle. Great stuff. I have two pint sized bottles of it. Blasted through the first one, deep into the second one, so I have a gallon jug of it standing by. It doesn't darken the leather, and it softens the leather. Best stuff ever for breaking in a baseball glove. I also use it on the leather lining of my Allen Edmonds shoes, which softens them and eases the break-in.
Yup, I was grumbling right along with you on Prada using cheap garbage material for the lining. Huge upgrade with the leather lining. And, we LOVE a cotton-pickin' leatherworker!!
Steve, 50 seconds in and you’re already triggering people with the sharpening of the throw away razor blades.. 😂😂😂. You’re a sick man and I love every single bit of it.. Ha! I was laughing out loud! 🤣🤣🤣
What I love most about these videos is ways to improve my own leather bag hobby. Linings are often the most complicated part of creating a quality bag because you have to think inside out.
So beautiful bag and the outcome
That is the way it should have come from the factory! Beautiful work Steve!
Interesting Steve! I didn't get a notification of this one!
The bag looks amazing!

Jeez - it’s like watching an artist work. Beautiful.
This is my favorite new channel. So relaxing to see such a great artisan at work.
Beautiful, beautiful work. Customer is no doubt proud. Reminds me of some designer women''s shoes that you did some time ago where you took them apart and showed that it was mostly just plastic on the inside.
Another great video where the customer will be delighted with the end result. It’s worth more now than it ever was. Shine On
Outstanding Work, Steve O . Beautiful bag
Better than new. Another superb job, Steve.
That pink looks amazing x
Demanding to the point of choosing the best part of the piece of leather.
The choice of a more frank pink gives more modernity. Always an attention to detail that I love. Bravo!
What more can be said Steve.....Lovely job!
Morning coffee and a great video from Steve. Beautiful bag, and job making a new interior.
Steveroo, Couldn't agree more about Prada using that cheap lining material, not for that price.... However, you made the bag look better than ever....! That beautifu lpink leather contrasting with the light blue is a winner.... Not a woman on earth that wouldn't love to have that bag and color combination...! Once again, another beautiful job by the MASTER.... Looks great Steve...GG
Better than new!!!!
I really need seeing a new video by you right now- watch somebody work who knows what he is doing! I´ve been winging a leather jacket makeover for weeks, am still not done and actually never know what I´m doing. Each step is a new challenge. You really help to calm my nerves!
“I have 24 hours in a day, two hands. And I can’t change either one. I try my best.” Love this😂.
That pink leather was a beautiful choice.
It’s shocking that such an expensive bag would be made with such cheap materials. One would expect to get quality at those prices. Your work has made it BETTER than new. I’m sure the owner was thrilled with her NEW bag!
Amazing color change! It looks alive again!
Your work is always beautiful and excellent. Thank you!!! 🥰💖👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💯
As usual far better than the original stay well from Liverpool England
As usual, better than the original. Great work.
Wow, you’ve done quite a number of bags but this is my favorite so far. Beautiful
Your attention to detail is perfection. The bag is beautiful🙋🏼♀️🇨🇦
Beautiful work Steve!
Great work Steve.
Watching you do this repair looks so simple, as if I could do it, especially how you explain it and show it in detail, that's the mark of a master craftsman and artist. Thanks for the wonderful video Steve.
More beautiful then before. Great work!
hi steve, not really into the bags but the process you do to fix these bags relates to so many other types of things we do. very nice job.
I one hundred percent appreciate your teaching! I might never use it, but I like knowing.
The full quill Ostrich has been banned in US I wanted a pair of cowboy boots. My boot maker quoted a price triple in one year, he said because they have to pull the feathers while the bird is still alive to create the large bumps so they were banned, and only what was in stock was available. I bought a pair they were made in Mexico and no Full Quill the leather with large bumps. That bag has to be very old and becoming more valuable! Enjoying your videos always a treat just finished to do list and I got your notifications. Sincerely Yours Doc
Good Morning Steve 🙋🏽. It's good to see you today ‼️❤😊 Excellent Job
Wow that pink leather lining is such a beautiful color…it’s amazing how thin and delicate looking it is too. The bag looks like a million bucks now!!!
Nice to stunning. Beautiful craftsmanship, as always.
Excellent as always! God bless you and yours! Praying for you!
I loved the gratuitous razor blade sharpening at the beginning. Wonderful job on a beautiful bag. Too bad the bag didn’t have a leather lining to start with. Once again you made it better than new.
Thank you so much. You helped me solve a problem today. I am also a professional and I have learned many things from you. 😊
What an incredible transformation, you made the bag better then it was amazing.
Gorgeous lining! 😍
Very nice!!!! Such an Artist!!
Sooo pretty!!! She’ll love it. Great job!
I like light linings. It helps to see what is inside the bag.
Damn! It is so enjoyable watching a professional!
Your attention to detail is amazing. What a great job you did on this beautiful bag. Thanks for the video. You are definitely the best.
Absolutely SPECTACULAR and better than brand new because of the absolute crap lining materials originally included.
Beautiful bag! Beautiful work, as always!!!
Mate you are always a pleasure to watch. But look after your health. God bless you
Recuerdo que vi algunos videos con las reacciones de tus clientes al recibir sus zapatos o bolsos reparados por ti !!! Me hubiese gustado mucho ver la cara de tu clienta al ver su bolso denuevo !! Eres increible ! Saludos desde Chile.
Another great job!
My Bick 4 is now in a mustard condiment dispenser. Frosted clear. Great sealing tip. Last thing that goes on my little leather projects. Thanks Steve!
Outstanding work that is only available from one who has spent years developing his skills and knowledge. Again I say well done.
you know you could make keychains and zipper pulls out of the leather scraps. plus i like your attention to detail. you make old things look way better than new most of the time. keep up the awesome work.
thanks for showing us another sterling job!
Another 10/10 job well done Steve 💪
Wow, beautiful bag.
New that bag goes for almost $5000. It's a shame that the materials used ,(besides the ostrich skin) are such low quality. Great tip on the center markings.
Yea, how much they are saving by not using leather? 10-20 dollars maybe...?
@@Spazik86 All in the name of corporate profits. I guess it's like everything else, get the brand started and use cheaper products and third world labor.
@@BrianJoyce-dk2sg Yea I know, was just hoping this is still not the case for very top products, you know - like 5000 USD bags...:)
You sir, are a true craftsman! Another awesome video!
What a shame that Prada put such a crappy lining in their bags. What’s more is that it looked like it was painted to make the fabric look like leather. However as usual Steve you did a masterful job at replacing the lining and making that bag even better than brand new. It is beautiful and this will be one happy customer getting this beautiful bag back and enjoying it for many many more years. Wow!
I’d say it’s even straight up faux leather that’s used for the lining
I’ve never seen such a poor quality lining in a Prada bag. Mine isn’t exotic leather like this ostrich one but is a beautiful quality textile that still looks perfect after 9 years of use. This was another great renovation. I started using Bick4 after you recommended it a couple of years ago Steve. All my bags love it but especially my vintage Mulberry bags which are really thick Darwin leather.
Beautiful restoration on the bag, nothing seems to intimidate you! Glad you're getting some use out of the tools!
nice work thanks for sharing!
Great job as always.
Beautiful!
Wow
That's a great update to a nice bag! I love ostrich leather (I have a pair of Justin tan ostrich boots, as well as several ostrich skin watch straps). Some of the watch straps have darkened, so I like how you were able to lighten the handles on the purse. Beautiful!
As it should have been done from the beginning. Wonderful job.
Great 👍
It is also nice of you to mention and show the products that you're using for the restoration.
Sharpening the knife lol. Nice touch 😉
Gorgeous job on a beautiful bag!
I’m the kind of guy who, if I had the skill, would make this whole lining beautiful, straight, perfect… and then go to put it in the bag and realized I stitched everything on the wrong side. I commend your focus!
Like brand new ❤
Love your meticulous work, great piece, glad your thumb is healing well, and see you very soon 😅
I love you and your commentary so much lol. Never change! I am binge watching these ❤😂
You are back, great!!!!
Outstanding work Steve. You da man !!!
Beautiful result.
that looks really good, amazing work.
Oh man... 😁 I'm learning from every one of your videos. Thanks a lot. 👍
better than new superb
That's pretty!
I used to have a bonded leather club chair that did that. I eventually peeled it all off and it looked like red suede afterwards.
