I remember watching all of those Mario Party Freakout Compilations. And I must say, what a call back.
Great video ! But I can't help but wonder, is 10,000% a typo ? The game seems to be 10 times faster at most (1,000%) not 100 times
I can imagine him putting it to 10.000x but the emulator capping at 1000× or 999x without him knowing
10,000% would be 100x faster so 100 seconds of the game pass in 1 second real time but as you can see from 1:01 to 1:07 only ~30 seconds pass in 6 seconds real time which is 5x or 500% faster but it doesn’t look as good as 10,000% in the title I guess

This looks more like 1000% rather than 10,000%.
Yeah. I assume this is Project 64 and Nathaniel doesn't have an absurdly powerful PC. In reality, "10,000% speed" means "UP TO 10,000% speed". So instead of playing at 100x speed, he was probably playing at ~5x speed at best. Still an impressive feat, regardless.

@@tacorice6093 it is but I’ll give Nathaniel the benefit of the doubt that he didn’t realize he wasn’t actually playing at 10,000% speed. I’m sure that’s what he SET it at, he just didn’t realize that his PC literally could not reach that speed.

One of my biggest complaints about the new mario parties compared to the older ones (1 2 and 3) is the dice block. The dice block sound effects and everything were way cooler in the beginning. I just feel like since mario party 4 the dice blocks are so lame

To be fair, mario party is all chance. So of course it's possible to beat it at high speed or just not doing much, either way win or lose, you win.
Edit: even if you think you've won, look around you... what did you do that was productive? While you've won, what did you gain? Nothing. You lose instead because you didn't realize what you just did was worthless.
