Great car! Take care of engine with strict break-in oil change procedures and stick to 3K oil change intervals afterwards. More concerned with possible issues from DCT auto gearbox down the road..but warranty is comprehensive and long. Car is a joy to look at and drive, no doubt. Great review as always!!
Great review and definitely justified since kia killed the forte for the garbage K4. Definitely not a fan of those lower turn lamps either. The exhaust tips could be tucked in a little better also. Never liked the red rim cap accents always looked off. Other then that absolutely love this car. Hopefully dealers will have incentives on these at some point. My issue would be considering this or a Jetta GLI 40th anniversary because these GLI’s have some good incentives and special financing.
Be aware there's talk of a "hot hatch"version of the Kia K4 that may be heading to the states sometime after the initial launch. That model may be the performance model and is styled differently in the rear. Some say it will have the gitty-up enthusiasts crave. I own a '23 GT with the GT2 package and its a hoot to drive. If Kia addresses the Forte's few faults (noise, ride quality, etc) and get the horsepower back up to at least the 201 HP of the current GT, you can sign me up for another!
I use to be in the business so as I'm not in a rush can wait a few years. Also looking it a the k3 gt as it looks a slightly larger then the Olde forte sx hatchback.
Just purchased mine a week ago in Gravity gray with the GT2 package. Great car! Love the way it accelerates, especially with the DCT. I need to remind myself how to drive the DCT, e.g. creeping, incline, etc.
Makes me wonder about the reliability under the hood, all those add ons and the car is still reasonably priced makes me assume they are hiding something!
ill never by a car with a cvt or ivt call it what you want. manual or regular auto or i walk literally. probably going to go get a kia this week found a forte manual, the civics i want they wont meet me a t a reasonable price
Wow. Just looked up images on the 2025 Kia K4. I don't think it looks anywhere near as good as the Forte GT. I'm glad we just bought my kids two 2024 Kia Forte GT w/ GT2 package cars (Deep Sea Blue and Aurora Black). I would have hated to not be able to get one with the replacement being the K4. Kia is going backwards in design.
True. However, the K4 GT-Line Turbo will have an 8 speed automatic, but down on power. 190HP vs. 201HP in the Forte GT. Gone is the 7 speed DCT and the 6 speed manual.

I like the K4 better for now but I understand why some people would prefer the Forte

This does not have a CVT. It’s a dual clutch (DCT). Like a manual that you do not shift but much faster.
