    I've had my new GT2 since December and it's been great so far. 2500 miles going strong. I finally got on the gas this weekend and it surprised me. Not a burner, but it's decent enough power to have some fun. I've been enjoying the features as well and for the price, this is a bargain. Unfortunately there are a lot of people who are going off of what Kia used to be, but the quality of their newer vehicles have skyrocketed. I don't even pay attention to the naysayers. Their loss.

      Word... I actually work at Kia Georgia, and we produce the Telluride, Sorento, Sportage, and the EV9. Kia has come a long way. The company itself actually started out making bicycles, so... Not bad, if you ask me.
      Just bought a Forte GT with the 6-Speed Manual Transmission, and I love it. You're right, though... It's their loss for underestimating Kia.

    This is a great looking car and a tremendous bargain if anything automotive is a bargain today. As Japanese cars become more and more expensive I would consider a Korean car like this. I currently drive an Acura TSX Sportwagon and I have been priced out of Acura’s at this point! Nice review and looking forward to the driving characteristics. 😊

    to anyone whom it may have the quotation , a kia forte / soul manual or 7 speed DCT ( have to be those either or engine type ) can in fact be flat towed ! so if you have a RV this is the perfect car to pull along all 4 wheels on the ground , I actual myself got a 2024 Kia GT 2 7 Speed DCT and pull it everywhere behind motor home!

    Just bought a GT1, although it does have the power sunroof, so that may not be strictly for the GT2 (either that, or what I actually bought is the GT2, not sure). Mine is in Sporty Blue, and came with the 6-Speed Manual Transmission, which I absolutely LOVE. The dealer showed 22 Fortes in their local network, but only one of these GT's and it's a Manual, so I was all like, "Yes, please, and thank you."
    My last car was a 2021 Kia Forte LXS 2.0L, and this GT would run circles around that LXS, easily.

    Have seen reports that the Dual Clutch transmission slips and does not engage instantly on inclines at times. Any experience with these issues?

    Putting the turn signal and backup light on the bumper is a poor design choice. And it should have been LED too.

      Have you ever actually driven one, or is your "expert" opinion based on hearsay and past knowledge?

    • @tydrives4846
      @tydrives4846  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      I have driven one, as you can see in our test drive video. I can say that it’s a pretty fun car to drive. It’s got just enough power to put a grin on your face and it rides nice and handles pretty well for what it is. Definitely a great buy for the asking price.

      Kia is ANYTHING but junk!!! My 2006 Sorento went more than 230k miles and 14 years without any issues whatsoever before my motor died. My son rebuilt it and I drove it another 10k for another year before trading it, only because I needed an AWD. My interior still looked almost new and the exterior had only minor normal wear and tear. I handed over the keys in tears. I hated the Subaru outback I got and am now going back to Kia now that my lease is up. I will never leave Kia again! I don't need an AWD at the present time, so I am considering the Forte GT, just for fun! Great video!
