Looks to be a fine small car for a new driver, student, new family, etc. The hub caps are nice for a new driver because they have a habit of hitting the curb while trying to part. The hub cab is much cheaper to replace than a nice, machined aluminum wheel. The price is amazing for a small vehicle today.
@user-vs7ec1wz5d Me to. I curb my wheels all the time, but the last time I did it to my Challenger it not only skinned the rim up but took a chunk out of the sidewall. I liked the Forte GT but the DCT is kinda clunky at low speeds imo.
I prefer steel wheels over the fancy looking alloys. Cracked an alloy once on my volkswagen because of hitting debris on the highway and the cost of replacing the tire and rim was staggering. not worth the style points. Key barrel is nice. easier to fix. No need for sirius XM, I have spotify. Wireless android auto is great. I was missing that on the sentra. I wish it came with LED headlights, much better lifetime than halogens.
Truth be told, you don't get that kind of gas mileage. I drive a 2017 Kia Soul Base (made in South Korea) and only get about 29 mpg city and 35 to 41 mpg freeway depending on drive conditions with fuel from Shell or Chevron (Costco gas, Valero, Flyers, etc. had unusual lower performance results depending on gas station). Keep in mind this includes carrying extra weight from the spare tire (sold separately). Overall in 2017 with a $16,500 sticker price / $19,889 out the door with taxes, banking fees, services fees, registration fees, warranty and service packages with 5 year bumper to bumper warranty/10 year engine and transmission warranty, it was hard to say no.
I have a 2024 Forte GT-Line and I absolutely love the car. My only complaint so far is that the car has a noticeable odor inside the cabin if you push the RPM's above 3,000 for any extended length of time.
YUP! I have a '23. Same thing. I REALLY thought I bought a lemon; even told the dealership; they said-We don't smell anything(of course). Thank God that it stopped smelling after about 7 months. The torque converter stinks every once in awhile, but my more expensive Mazda's did too!
I bought a '23. My dealer is ALWAYS sending me deals-Do you want to upgrade?? So, I just looked into a new Pearl White one; looked NEAT! My car lost 40% of it's value in 1 year! I only have 7000 miles on it! They were gonna give me 14K, for my $23000, '23. That's all. I laughed and walked away. I would have owed 10K more than what I still owe(6K), for basically the same car!
I have a 2021 Forte Lx. Great car. The original 15’ wheels were too small and ugly. I ended up upgrading to the 16’ alloys from an EX trim look much better and rides better
Good job! Cer could use cruise control, otherwise well equipped. Keep it up and it should last (oil services at 3k miles and at dealer using top 21:18 synthetic oil. Sharp looking, too!

I never thought about curbing the rim. Good point.
Thanks Mike. I learned that at an early age.@@chabbysrides

Excellent video, keep up the good work.
Thanks! Thank you for tuning in. Much appreciated.
Update the software immobilizer did it and it's garaged. I have Sirius radio love it.....
Howdy, now that a good car with reasonable price
The vibration issue is a deal breaker.

I'm wondering about the leg room. Great job on review
Thanks. Leg room up front is fine for me at 5’11”. The seat moves way back, so even taller person should have enough.

I have a 2024 forte gt and I’m wondering if it’s just the car breaking in and that’s what causing the odor.

@@turtleman5111 now that I’ve put 1100 miles on it I don’t notice the smell as often. Only has the smell when I push it in sport mode
Thanks for the video very informative and held in making few decisions

Did he say no cruise control? What?!
It has cruise control, and it’s on the steering wheel just not adaptive.

Is your forte fast? 😅
@@Bobo82484 Meh kind of
@@Bobo82484 it’s more economical than fast. The GT is where you’ll need to go if you’re looking for something quicker

@@chabbysrides isn't the button at the top right on the steering wheel your cruise control?
Does it have sport mode?
Do not get this car.
I’m a new driver and I’m looking into a brand new forte lx, and I’m wondering if it goes too fast? how much is the 0-60?
It’s not a fast car. About 8.2 seconds 0-60.
Roads are paved with new driver who wanted to go fast.
@@ranaskip Might as well buy a second hand mustang🤣
It's pronounced "fort".
No, it's pronounced Fort-ey.
It's literally an existing word, my dude. lmao
I bet you Koreans will pronounce this as fortey
@@evoemperor3776 i pronounced it this way too lmao.
