- The Detroit Pistons have become a Training Grounds for the Biggest Busts Trying to Beat the Allegations, including the former New York Knick, Kevin Knox, considered one of the biggest busts of the 2018 NBA draft class.
But how bad is he actually?

Career was over the moment he decided to rock the fortnite suit
Honestly I believe frank ntilikina 8th pick in the 2017 NBA draft was the worst Knicks pick ever worse then Kevin Knox imo
All frank had to do was become decent offensively and he could’ve been a nice ahh player he could do everything else
@@averageblackguy777being decent in offense is bare minimum for a guard bro if he cant score everything else that he does don't matter
I’ll bet they would bust your ass the Knicks messed them up
He has potential to be a decent bench piece.
I remember people calling him KD 2.0
I can't remember a Knicks player ever being drafted and turn into a star there... Its something with the franchise
Porzingis? The reason knicks draftees underperform is because they are put right in the spotlight as soon as they are drafted and have expectations to be the franchises next star in the biggest market in the league. not a lot of players are built for that sort of expectation so young...
.....Except for Patrick Ewing
@@ashmat2259 Porzingis what? He isn't a star... and yeah I agree that was the something I was referring to about this franchise...
@@bamidelakin-np2ub😂😂😂 Porzingis is a star and always has been since he entered the league
@@Yxngsenseiman what are u watching he’s only been a all-star for one season 😭😭
Many NBA players who have been drafted by the Knicks have ended up disappointing.
Even if you sometimes acquire a star player, he ends up being transferred to another team.
good to see him finally start to mature
Kevin Knox can have amazing success on the Jazz!
Knox showed up at the NBA draft in a jacket lined with Fortnite. This should show more than enough the issues he has.
how so? because you're bitter and hold nonsensical grudges against fads?
Love the knicks but until RJ they never gave a rookie a real chance. Knox never developed the killer instict he is missing
Kp had a chance bro he just got tired of losing
@eugenepearson5939 kp problem was injuries and Knicks got tired of him
the last 90s born draft bust is crazy 😭
as a knicks fan . i always kinda liked knox and hoped he would turn things around one day . in 2k when we didn't really have a solid point guard , i was use him at the one/two and his speed and size alone i would shred teams . but i would mostly use him at the 4 too for the same reason . i never really liked him at the 3 in real life i would love to see him play more at the 4 ; although i don't know if they have been using him there or not 🤷♂️
Without braids? He looks like lightskinned Giannis 🤣
He has all the tools & is becoming more consistent. Happy for him.
Fellow Jazz fans?
Where that dude get 6’9 from lol
He hasn't played regularly enough to be fairly say bad or good. Incomplete would be more accurate. And we really don't know what is true when it comes to Knox. He had a solid rookie season, after that, he didn't get much playing time. Let him play a good 25 to 30 minutes a game for 2 months straight. Then you judging him and how bad or good he is can make sense. If he is indeed as bad as you suggest.
Pretty true but in what we have gotten with knox he has been pretty bad
The entire team has been awful.@@TheChosonOne2546
Agreed 💯
I completely disagree on one part. Knox is a bad player as we all know because he was a high draft pick and that he is a bust. Some teams he played were the Hawks, pistons and Trailblazers. But recently he has been playing well for the pistons. When he first joined the team he was playing really well but his trade to the portland was good and bad as the team didn't keep him and his shooting numbers waned. Now Knox is being a decent player recently for the Pistons.
Yeah but it's the Pistons they are 3-36, he wouldn't get minutes on any other team, I would honestly say that the Pistons probably only have 5 or 6 NBA caliber players on their roster, Cunningham, Bogdanovic, Duren, Ivey, the rookie Thompson and maybe Stewart but that's it, you can't tell me that Killian Hayes is an NBA caliber player, cause he is not even close.
@@ZoomZoom356 Killian hayes is bad but i was saying that knox has been a stud for the pistons the only thing is they need to get rid of joe harris as he is taking away 20 mil a year this season
Super underrated player
True, he is actually decent now.
He had a decent rookie year, but I blame Fizdale
If anyone can fix his game it's Danny Ainge - welcome to Utah!
Knox is mid right now, At 24 he is still young tho. Former Knicks/Pistons forward Nat Clifton, was already 34 years old when he made his lone All-Star selection.
Most optimistic comment in yt history
Only difference now is that no one is making an all star team averaging 10. Hell, players that average 20 get snubbed still😭
This has got to put someone's self-esteem in a Mortal Kombat fatality ...
over the past ten years, s far as talent development goes, the Jazz are on a very short list of teams which do it best.
it won't surprise me in the least if he takes a significant jump in production and efficiency
I liked him in Portland he played well
Hope the lakers pick him up and develope him with Phil
Used to think he was gonna be crazy😂
It's like Knicks 8th draft pick Obi Toppin ...three years in NY and coach only played him 12 minutes every other game
It's wild to think that you can be great at lower levels, get drafted, put in the work, and still be shitty. I guess that's natural selection for the nba
I’ll always call him Dominican, he looks like someone who grew up in Washington heights 😂
He’s not bad he just never got a chance.
Today they got rid of Grimes...few months back Quickly and RJ. Ivi had it with the Knicks... not my team anymore
Anyone drafted because of potential is gonna be awful. These franchises only have themselves to blame
Hes bad because of the high expectations but he can be a good bemch piece in the right situation
Dude is a baller! I dont think alot of you have even watched him play...
I’ll take him as a 13-15th man
Hope Will Hardy can unlock his true potential
He has a potential to be a gleague bench
I still think Knox will be a star great jump shot but he needs to work on his defense he will be a Superstar
I hate that Knicks coach, he destroys rookies careers
I blame thibadeu he sucks at developing talent then the go off and flourish on another team. I have kept and developed Knox in every 2k and he is 82 overall playing like a young Kevin Durant since he has the same frame. Smfh
Agreed!! Knox never got the correct development and playing time!
You really comparing development of a real life player that has real life mental flaws to a video game character. And there really hasn’t been anyone that’s left NY since Thibs arrival that’s gone on to flourish anywhere. Unless you count RJ who has literally been gone only 11 games and I would be throughly disgusted if you comparing 4 years to eleven games.
@@liferealgood what do you think statistics are based? Then what you think the game is based off of? Look at obi toppin, hardaway jr, porzingis all doing better.
@@deeznutz9267 bruh people aren’t just numbers. You can’t assume anything off of a video game simulation. Even video games are just loosely based numbers not accurate at all. It doesn’t account for maturity, work ethic, or commitment. It’s sad I have to explain this.
@@liferealgood it's sad that you don't know people are numbers, everything in life is numbers fool! All proven equations, theories, engineering, quantum physics are numbers. If you develop with training and practice of course the MORE YOU OUT IN THE MORE YOU GET AKA NUMBERS. in the game I DEVELOPED Knox because I mentored him with other players, gave him MORE MINUTES, kept him for MORE YEARS, sent him to CAMP TO DEVELOP to add to RAISING HIS STATS, obviously in real life thibadeu didn't do that with him
Lakers should try to get him while vando and reddish out.. knox is a OK Defender and can shoot 3s too.. #Lakers
I am sure glad the Knicks didn't pick SGA instead . They have to be the worse team to start a career .
KP turned out well but couldn’t stay healthy.
Outside of the knicks he was a decent player. Not a stud but not trash
These bad pistons are meant to be better than others
Bro you are lying your ass off about that draft the next 5 players drafted directly after knox were mikal bridges, shai-gilgeous Alexander, miles bridges, jerome Robinson, and Michael Porter jr. That's 3 all star level guys, 1 mvp level guy 1 bust and kevin knox. He is much closer to robinson than he is to any of the other guys.
Aye don’t ever say pistons don’t have good players we do Cade is amazing it is not the players fault Monty clearly don’t wanna be there
Pacome Didiet is another Kevin knox type player. A big waste of a draft pick. 😂🤣🤣🤣
bro got waived
The fact you made a video on a nba player that’s an overall 70 on 2k is wild and a huge waste of time
stop hating , this was a great video
@@PRcris14 I didn’t say it wasn’t good I said it’s a waste of time
idk which was worst him or frank Ntilikina
Kevin is still getting legit minutes and can score. Frank has okay defense but has never really developed an offensive game. Knox is talented but he shouldn't have been drafted by the Knicks as a top 10 pick. I can honestly see Knox being in the NBA for the next 5 years. I can't say the same about Frank..
his mom bad af tho....😏
Honestly expecting every lottery pick to be a star is only gonna set your self up for disappointment. A player being a solid role player with a long career isnt a bad thing
Its kinda crazy how its actually a normal thing, like on average we can say 2-3 players become an all star player is the standard in each draft, so that mean 9th pick become a bench warmer isnt as bad as we tho
I love Kevin Knox because he plays good offense and defense
Found the Kevin Knox burner
Knox could be the 4th worst in the Pistons, and still not NBA-level.
"How bad is Kevin Knox...."
Replacement player. May as well play a younger player from the G-League.
He’s pretty awful.
He’s just not a star material.
Should have stayed in college another season
He’s not bad at all had the unfortunate experience to be developed by Knicks and David Fizdale
I wouldn’t even blame the Knicks and Fizdale. He’s been under guidance of several HC and organizations. Dude is just a below avg player. Not all lottery picks are places in the right/wrong situation. Sometimes they just mid. He should’ve stayed in school probably until he was a senior.
@@liferealgood once you get developed bad nobody gonna take the time and develop him correctly the fact that he’s still in the league says a lot
@@CH-lx5pb well then that’s on the other HCs and organizations for not trying to develop him but he should’ve stayed in school if he wasn’t ready to take it to the next level. Also Knox has to assume some blame himself because you have to put in the work. If rumors are correct he spent majority of his off time playing Fortnite and goofing off instead of being NBA ready.
@@liferealgood No Organization is gonna take the time of someone they didn’t draft . Knicks wasted picks because they had no developmental plans for these guys
@@CH-lx5pb You still blaming the first organization that developed them but you gonna do the reverse? Players have developed and left flourishing roles to go to another organization and become avg to below avg. Again that speaks for the current organization and the player. You think the Knicks blaming Kentucky?
I say killian Hayes is the worst
He should have played football
first
haha love from germany
No one asked
I hate to say this, but I knew Knox would be a bust when his college coach on national TV, basically said he had to put his foot up Knox's butt to motivate him. Knox wasn't even the best player on the Kentucky team, it was SGA. I warned my fellow Knicks fans about this on draft night, however the team decided to swing for the fences, instead of playing it safe by drafting one of the Bridges. I guess they were desperate after wasting the previous year's pick on Frank N.
