  • The New York Knicks have seen a resurgence under coach Tom Thibodeau, especially defensively. But through the moderate success, Kevin Knox has seen his minutes rapidly decrease, despite having his most productive season of his young NBA career (so far). In this video, we take a look at what's been going on with Kevin Knox. Hope you enjoy!

    He should try and carve his game into a solid defender and good corner/solid 3 point shooter. It’ll be enough for him to stay in the league as he can be a Jae Crowder guy that bounces from team to team.

    If Kevin ever learns to play harder on both ends of the court consistently, he is a difference maker. His offensive skills are strong for such a young player. He is the key to this team being able to compete with teams in the playoffs. This team will not be injury free and that's when Kevin must show out. Payton, RJ, Knox, Randle, Mitch lineup to me makes alot of sense if he just stepped up. Knox can space the floor and use his length defensively if he developed.

      He’s definitely a much better coach than a lot of people have given him credit for over the past several years. Porter wasn’t hurt he had back surgery a full season prior to the draft but the nuggets sat him for precautionary reasons not out of necessity I made the point because the knicks picked a guy who was exactly the same type of player (long lanky athletic with touch) when the clearly better prospect was on the board they aren’t the only ones to pass on him but if they’re staff was looking for a wing they picked the wrong one porter even with the injury risk is still a better player and most people could have told you that confidently on draft night

    • @WorkBundle
      @WorkBundle 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Porter goal is to get buckets shooting, cutting, and attack close out. He show some effort on defense in guarding his man on ISO. Jokic is the player main offense initiator and decision maker, and Murray is the secondary. Porter is just a piece to get buckets.

  • @TheVoiceOfReason187
    @TheVoiceOfReason187 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Knox is definitely a good young piece and the stats don’t gauge full potential accurately. Knox did well in his first season because he got the free reign to develop, year two was more crucial because Coach Fiz was in the hot seat, so his freedom diminished. Thibs doesn’t have time for developing players, because he’s experienced high success in his Boston and Chicago days, so again Knox finds himself in a predicament where he doesn’t have much room for error. Frank Ntilikina also finds himself in a similar boat with Thibs. The only weakness Knox shows in his game is keeping his man in front of him and that’s because he seems to have issues with lateral movement. A lot of times on drives Knoxs legs seem to just give out on him, so that’s why his on the ball defense always looks suspect. I think he just needs more devolpment and he will be just find. He has a lot of the offensive tools Quickley has but he’s a hell of a lot taller. The Knicks would be stupid to give up on him so fast.

He shoots the corner three fairly well but takes too many above the break threes and long midrange shots.

    The problem starts with college hoops. You get all these tall long athletes that can jump out of the gym and they get national media attention and so they think they can just live off their athleticism like they have previously, and then when they get to the nba they don’t have skills like shooting or handles or even a basketball IQ because they never bothered to develop one. That’s the difference between scrubs in the nba and good players is the skills they developed instead of living off their height and athleticism
