Patrick Williams is another example of Bulls doing a poor job of developing young talent. Markkanen, and Kris Dunn never improved while they were here, and it took five seasons for Coby White to become a solid starting player. Pat Williams and Ayo Dosunmu’s development mirrors that of Markkanen. Dalen Terry hardly played his rookie season and is now averaging about 10 mins a game his sophomore year. Zach Lavine is the only success story the Bulls have but I would argue that he came pretty developed already he just needed a team where he would have more touches of the ball. Something tells me the reason AK doesn’t blow it up and rebuild is because he either doesn’t have confidence in his ability to draft or (the more likely reason) he doesn’t have faith in developing young players

If you tracked Cam's progression at Duke then his NBA turnout isn't surprising. He started the season hot but quickly became a non-factor. I think a lot of people thought he was overlooked because he was a 3rd option on a team with a trigger happy RJ Barrett and obviously, Zion was a dog that season but even as a 3rd option, Cam was shooting under 40% from the field and 33% from 3 I believe. I think he needed another year or two before he came out tbh but I get that he wanted the money and felt like he was ready
it's bc of this 3 ball happy league players don't have value anymore to teams if they can't shoot which it shouldn't be you need good role players that do the grunt work but that getting lost in this Era

They draft 1 bad player on a weak class and that's what killed their dynasty? Their dynasty killed themselves. Draymond's tomfoolery with other players (both from and not from the team) and the team's FO decision making killed it
_On Davion Mitchell:_ if you are a backup PG in your mid 20s who’s 6’1 with a 6’4 wingspan and still can’t shoot or playmake, you might as well play overseas.
The biggest issue in Killian is that he is chucking up shots and always make bad decisions. He will be 23 this upcoming offseason. He is chucking up shots after shots and then has tunnel vision and struggles to finish the rim or make passes to his own teammates. his defense is also a liability as he is just an average defender due the lack of lateral quickness which will hurt the team even more. Now anytime if any teams is being guarded by him they can just dribble through his glaring weakness which is mentioned on his defense.
He has a lot of issues the reason why he chuck up shot is because hes a weak shot creator. His handle is very weak and hes not athletic slasher so he struggles to score in isolations. So hence why hes basically chuck up shots. And is jumpshot needs work
Davion Mitchell did not kill the kings , regardless of his weaknesses , he still has valuable strengths like his defensive abilities which is what the kings needs the most , so far he is still improving his skills nonetheless.
How does Malaki Branham not get mentioned AT ALL when he has the next worst plus minus out of anyone in the league besides scoot, is arguably the worst defender in the whole league, can't pass for shit, turns the ball over because he has no handle, and overall has negative aura? As a spurs fan I can say that I am one of Branham's biggest opps and would want nothing more than him to leave San Antonio. The ONLY thing he can do is shoot 3s but that doesn't make up for any of his flaws at all.
@@spidamitchell8311he is just satisfied with his performance and not willing to improve and the crazy thing is he is young and has so much room to improve and be a great defender but he chooses not to do it .
Pistons had 3 draft busts on one team. Wiseman is borderline. Hayes is out of the league and I think livers is too or he's about to be...forgot they had bagley too.
what about this player? “oh this is when he was drafted. but he sucked. maybe he could become a 3 and D player or go to china. its funny because I don’t watch foreign basketball. he’s bad. very bad.” great video dude
I think it's fair to add Scoot to this list. At the time of the draft, the Hornets were getting flamed for picking Brandon Miller over him. Right now, that appears to have been the right decision. Scoot had a ton of hype. I hope he figures it out.
@hotpot328 doesn't matter, he's gonna be a role player or decent stater at best. Nothing about him in the NBA screams star potential. Plus he comes from the G League Ignite, which hasn't produced any real stars. Maybe he'll prove everyone wrong, but I doubt it.
Adding scoot to this list just isn’t right.Darius garland was once the worst player statistically as a rookie and now he is one of the best guards in the league
I told people Cam wasnt it since his first week at Duke. Those people are STILL holding out hope. It's embarrassing smh. Salute to Cam for succeeding at life though.
Draymond is one of the greatest defenders of our era but he will be remembered as the draymond that we know today, the guy that can't control himself from hurting other players and the Guy that killed the warriors dynasty.
@@arnellsmith yeah just like how we know bill laimbeer today? he's literally one of the first stretch bigs but we know him as the most hated NBA player ever
A couple of these guys are defensive specialists who are bad only on one side of the ball. Hayes, for example, is actually a good and versatile defender, which is a big reason why he gets minutes. He also is a decent table-setter and play caller. As was mentioned, he can run the pick-and-roll. As bad as his offense has been, he has improved every year, which is another sign that he could carve out a role in the league. His rookie contract is almost done, so what's left of this season really will affect his future in the NBA, or lack thereof.
Patrick Williams is by far the best player on this list, if you take out the first 10 games of the season he in which he shit the bed absolutely he really hasn’t been that bad. James wiseman just doesn’t care to improve at all, has no skills, has no feel for the game at all
As a bulls what are you talking about pat Williams is doing his job play defense shoot 3s he had his best year last year he a good 3 and d and when Zach lavin got hurt he look good
He told lies of omission on Cam Reddish. His analysis was incomplete and lacked context. Cam Reddish was starting to fill out his potential when was with the Hawks. He was on his way to becoming a solid starter until the poorly ran front office traded him for... Kevin Knox II...🤦♂️ Since being traded injuries and lack of confidence have halted his progress. Now that he's with the Lakers his only job is to play defense that's why his stats don't seem that significant.
Even with Wiseman and Hayes being front and center, we can't call 2020 the worst draft. Anthony Edwards Lamelo Ball Tyrese Haliburton Tyrese Maxey Desmond Bane Immanual Quickly Cole Anthony put this above a few drafts 2013 still exists 2000 still exists
Speaking as a Pistons fan who generally agrees that Killian has been a disappointment and that it's probably time to move on from him, it's very unfair to say that he "didn't meet any of his projected strengths". Hayes is an excellent defender, definitely above average in the NBA for his position, and for the most part is a decent facilitator with good court awareness. Yes his shooting has been abysmal, and in an offense-driven league you just can't get past that unfortunately, but in other aspects he's not far removed from his projections.
Haven’t watched yet but you better have included Giddey. He hurts the spacing and makes offense harder for everyone. The team is so much better when he’s not on the floor
Killian is a great playmaker and solid defender his only problem is offense and even that he can hit the mid range and floater while he isn't efficient he can improve especially in a good system that can develop talent like Miami Spurs and Toronto anywhere but Detroit and I bet he develops like he suppose to. Also Killian isn't a scorer he just need to hit the open 3's and he's fine
Also he has a high PNR percentage with two of the worst big men in the league Wiseman and Bagley(ik he got traded) if he gets 25 minutes a game he gets 7/8 assist a night in Detroit who is the worst team in the league with no shooting outside of Burks and Boban I would say Harris also but he doesn't get minutes
I’m a Pistons fan and from Detroit, and agree with all of this. He hasn’t killed the team, he’s just not quite what we’d like him to be. His next season (wherever he is) will determine his career trajectory forreal
You failed to mention anything about Davions' defensive prowess, and then you said the kings bench is awful outside of monk? That's an asinine statement.
only reason cam reddish looks bad in LA is cause hes being forced into a 3/d role...hes shown flashes on offense when he's gotten the requisite touches in consecutive games thats allowed him to get in rhythm but his inefficiency has held him back...davion imo is also fine as a pat bev/gabe vincent type
I thought Poole was going to be an inefficient 20 ppg scorer on the Wizards. He actually landed in a dream scenario to shine and blew it. A bigger role on his own team with no expectations. Same reason Kuzma is content cashing checks in Washington.
Hayes having a high Pick and Roll percentage and 2 of the worst P+R big men I have ever seen is probably 40% of why he's failing. Pistons bigs need to be out the league. They hurt that entire offense so much its painful to watch.
Cam Reddish has a lot of impact on the court his defense is masterful and he’s getting more and more confidence, the teams he was on before never helped with his confidence, he isn’t a bust he’s getting better
Feel like Patrick Williams doesn't really belong here. Sure for the 4th overall pick he's kinda mid but all he's been asked to do is be a 3 and D player and he's been effective at both of those things.
The Pistons GM needs to be fired, not only fired, but banned from the game of basketball for life. Pete Rose style. Not only for Hayes but for getting Wiseman and Bagley on purpose. All of these players have no business being in the league,
@@Tikitackfouls They got Marvin Bagley. You might not know because he's so bad that he can't even get playing time on the Pistons and didn't even realize he is on the roster.

I genuinely expected a video about players like Luka Doncic who got drafted by Atlanta Hawks and dropped 73 points on them a few years later. Seeing a bunch of bad players was surprising.
I think the problem with Killian, as a pistons fan, drafting multiple players at the same position as him was definitely a big hit to his confidence, and lest we forget, Killian right now is still 22, I do believe theres something for him in the league, definitely not to the level of expectations he was given, but maybe a playmaker off the bench that can help defensively (a little)

@@jcrespo200 cap, there are still great role players around. Just because he ain't good enough to be a "good role player" doesn't mean that "this era ruined him" or whatever
@@jcrespo200 40% from 3 shooting 6 or more is not a big ask for a pro player, teams are shooting 40 threes a game or more.
2 transition buckets 2 put-back dunks and 2 threes made is 14ppg.
Add 3/4 on free throws and that's 17ppg.
When you got Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green on your team, you are anything but "under pressure". Poole is similar to Duncan Robinson - very good at one thing and when that thing disappears, they become a trade chip
Thought he was about to talk about some NBA Serial Krillers. But every bust pick would drop 40 in an open gym😂
😂😂
Everyone knows this it doesn't change the fact they're making their teams worse. A CBA benchwarmer could drop 40 in an open gym.
If you're playing basketball professionally at any capacity and can't drop 40 on some hobbyists playing every other weekend tf are you even doing?

Excellent video as always! I love the more in depth nature of this longer type of video. Your efforts are appreciated!
Golden State warriors even drafting killed their dynasty after having a much incredible generation of drafting their own core , how crazy is that truly
They draft 1 bad player on a weak class and that's what killed their dynasty? Their dynasty killed themselves. Draymond's tomfoolery with other players (both from and not from the team) and the team's FO decision making killed it
I swear I just saw a girl coming from Germany ONLY to see Killian Hayes and then this video shows up XDXDXD Talk about life
_On Davion Mitchell:_ if you are a backup PG in your mid 20s who’s 6’1 with a 6’4 wingspan and still can’t shoot or playmake, you might as well play overseas.
davion on the defensive side is one of the best
@@wspTre agree his defensive performance last year vs Steph in the playoff was incredible, suprised that Andy didn't talk much about his defense
Typical Andy video..He always have an almost perfect take then make a mistake in 1 point or player.lol
@@justhuy7960
Spurs will take a flier on him
I love these longer videos they’re so awesome. Gives me more analysis to put into my head
You clearly don’t watch the Kings
Mitchell sucks 😂😂😂
And is jumpshot needs work
Only biggest strength for hayes is his playmaking and defense if he works more on that he’ll be still be in the league
@@primetimemiles15 Yeah
You lost me at Patrick Williams. He has off games but he’s nowhere near killing our team
He's still a bust, tho.
@@leoprince691 for being a 4th overall pick that’s fair to say
Giving minutes at PF and he doesn't do anything
Davion Mitchell did not kill the kings , regardless of his weaknesses , he still has valuable strengths like his defensive abilities which is what the kings needs the most , so far he is still improving his skills nonetheless.
I still laugh at the people saying Hayes was going to become good (some even said he was already good 😂😂😂)
I love the longer videos. Keep up the great work.
Should have included DeAndre Ayton 😂
He’s had several solid seasons yes he may be a disappointment but not a total bust.
But he gets hate for his lack of effort!
Pwill is solid. He can shoot and defend. That archetype is valuable
Always love your vid always insightful
what about this player?
“oh this is when he was drafted. but he sucked. maybe he could become a 3 and D player or go to china. its funny because I don’t watch foreign basketball. he’s bad. very bad.”
great video dude
Bro if I was called bad and useless I'd be done 😭
darius garland was basically the worst player in the league a couple of years ago but now he's ballin, so we shouldnt worry abou Scoot yet
Are you blaming players for gms and scouts over reaching when drafting them based on potential
Great video I liked all the metrics you shared to make the case of how bad these players are playing.
That's a harsh reality to hear if you're that player mentioned in this video.
I think it's fair to add Scoot to this list. At the time of the draft, the Hornets were getting flamed for picking Brandon Miller over him. Right now, that appears to have been the right decision. Scoot had a ton of hype. I hope he figures it out.
tf you talkin bout🤣🤣 he didnt even finished his first season as a PG
I’m not gonna lie, these Ignite guys got me skeptical
@hotpot328 doesn't matter, he's gonna be a role player or decent stater at best. Nothing about him in the NBA screams star potential. Plus he comes from the G League Ignite, which hasn't produced any real stars. Maybe he'll prove everyone wrong, but I doubt it.
@@leoprince691kuminga is probably going to be the best ignite player.
@@hotpot328doesn’t change the fact that he’s been bad
remember when overtime did a small documentary series on Killian hayes thinking he was gonna be an NBA all star
I told people for years when he was drafted Hayes wasn't going to make it.
We fw the new content Andy
Keep it up and go knicks
i think davion just needs a change of scenery. he'll be a solid backup PG
Great video. Like this new long video format.
Kinda funny how at 7:28 bro was talking about how the bulls were mid while the background was the bulls playing against the hawks 💀
I got back here after Killian got waived.
I mean, he won 4 rings with them, he is killing them since 2022 ring.
No he won’t lol you just tryna sound cool😭 in 10 years ain’t nobody finna gaf
Nah as a 4 ring CHAMPION
Jordan Poole just a bitch 😂 real ones know if y’all fight, that should make you closer
@@arnellsmith yeah just like how we know bill laimbeer today? he's literally one of the first stretch bigs but we know him as the most hated NBA player ever
You could almost put Jalen Green on the list...almost 😅👀
He’s a good player, but he doesn’t play to win, just plays for ‘his’.
This didn't age well
A couple of these guys are defensive specialists who are bad only on one side of the ball.
We appreciate the longer videos💯
I like the longer videos, Ill always watch al the way through
A draft that gave the NBA Anthony Edwards, Tyrese Haliburton, Tyrese Maxey, Lamelo Ball, Desmond Bane and Devin Vassel is a bust? Are you serious??
"not just Killian Hayes" gave me a chuckle
Longer videos from you are a pleasure. 😊
Patrick Williams is by far the best player on this list, if you take out the first 10 games of the season he in which he shit the bed absolutely he really hasn’t been that bad. James wiseman just doesn’t care to improve at all, has no skills, has no feel for the game at all
Damn, having worse bpm than Shaqtin a Poole... I feel bad for Scoot.
Anthony Edwards
Lamelo Ball
Tyrese Haliburton
Tyrese Maxey
Desmond Bane
Immanual Quickly
Cole Anthony put this above a few drafts
2013 still exists
2000 still exists
But OKC is still winning, he put players on losing teams.
There had to be someone that was going to target Giddey
..might as well be you i guess 😏🙄
Exactly he’s decent 2 way playmaker just needs to get trade to a good development team like the spurs. He still young its never to late.
I’m a Pistons fan and from Detroit, and agree with all of this. He hasn’t killed the team, he’s just not quite what we’d like him to be. His next season (wherever he is) will determine his career trajectory forreal
No srry he trash
The fact that yall is still defending this trash is insane
Davion Mitchell is the guy that I've heard comped to Bronny James the most. LOL.
Loving longer vids, let's go!
Longer Andy Hoops videos oh yes
Definitely liked the doughty longer form video. I agree it allowed you explain a lot more than usual.
You failed to mention anything about Davions' defensive prowess, and then you said the kings bench is awful outside of monk? That's an asinine statement.
only reason cam reddish looks bad in LA is cause hes being forced into a 3/d role...hes shown flashes on offense when he's gotten the requisite touches in consecutive games thats allowed him to get in rhythm but his inefficiency has held him back...davion imo is also fine as a pat bev/gabe vincent type
some players get hyped way too much but end up not having what it takes to be at the NBA level...
Even though you’re not posting on Wednesday’s anymore, We love the long videos Andy 🫡🐐
Love the long videos
Hayes is so frustrating to watch 💀😭
This just makes the timberwolves coming out of the 2020 draft with 2 stars look that much more impressive
I always thought cam reddish was gonna be paul george 2.0 🤦♂️
Instead he's Wesley Johnson 2.0
@@CrazyxEnigma but its still time for reddish to improve
To Think Detroit Passed Tyresse For Hayes 😭
The 2020 draft class has guys like Anthony Edwards, Tyrese Hailiburton, Tyrese MAxey, Lamelo Ball so its not a complete dud
Josh green
Feel like Patrick Williams doesn't really belong here. Sure for the 4th overall pick he's kinda mid but all he's been asked to do is be a 3 and D player and he's been effective at both of those things.
The Pistons GM needs to be fired, not only fired, but banned from the game of basketball for life. Pete Rose style. Not only for Hayes but for getting Wiseman and Bagley on purpose. All of these players have no business being in the league,
Bagley?
@@Tikitackfouls They got Marvin Bagley. You might not know because he's so bad that he can't even get playing time on the Pistons and didn't even realize he is on the roster.
Iam from Germany Ulm and Hayes played there befor. He was not efficient and not dominating the legeau. He wasnt even the best player in his team. Theis played in Ulm too. He was fckn destroying everything!
Killian Hayes no IMPROVEMENT HIS SHOOTING
Watching this riiiight after Killian got released.
I was honestly shocked when they gave Ayton a max. I was like "as a rookie who helped get the finals just to lose? I dont agree but ight, best of luck to em" and sure nuff
I genuinely expected a video about players like Luka Doncic who got drafted by Atlanta Hawks and dropped 73 points on them a few years later. Seeing a bunch of bad players was surprising.
I think the problem with Killian, as a pistons fan, drafting multiple players at the same position as him was definitely a big hit to his confidence, and lest we forget, Killian right now is still 22, I do believe theres something for him in the league, definitely not to the level of expectations he was given, but maybe a playmaker off the bench that can help defensively (a little)
Davion Mitchell isn’t a bad player and sounds corny but he looks like the new Kyle Lowry, Lowry had the same offensive struggles early in his career
