I think you must be one of the best at describing books, somehow every book you talk about sounds so good, even books I have heard of before and didn’t think I would enjoy.
you prolly dont give a shit but if you're stoned like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all the new movies and series on instaflixxer. Have been watching with my girlfriend lately =)
THANK YOU! No one EVER talks about Walter Moers - he is my favorite German author (along side Cornelia Funke) and I have read all of his books that have been translated into English. They are all so fun and funny and weird and unexpected and creative - thank you for highlighting an AMAZING fantasy author who never gets any of the love he deserves.
@@froncifresh The City of Dreaming Books was the first one I read and a great introduction to his style. I also loved The Alchemist's Apprentice (a must read if you love cats!). Honestly they're all good.
Thank you for mentioning The City of Dreaming Books in one of your videos last year! The description intrigued me and I ended up checking it out from a library. I absolutely fell in love with it and ended up buying the rest of Walter Moers books that were translated into English. Thank you so so so much for introducing me to one of favorite books of all time!!! 💜
I generally tend to like pretty, soft looking covers for the Spring--but honestly any genre will do! Some that I think are good for spring--Strange the Dreamer, A Thousand Pieces of You, Born Wicked, Fable, Beneath the Sugar Sky, Anna and the French Kiss, The Little Paris Bookshop, The Husband's Secret, The Beauty That Remains, Everything Everything, and the Unicorn in the Barn are what come to mind first!
Your way of talking about books always draws me in and like instantly makes me curious to read the books too!😊 Currently watching this video on my phone while simultaneously adding books to my goodreads tbr on my iPad!
Your videos are always so wonderful. Your descriptions are really helpful when I’m looking for new recommendations. Thank you for that! I hope everyone reading this is doing well. ❤️ Anna K was such an enjoyable read. Thank you so much for your recommendation of it last year.
Aaag thank you! It's funny, I finished The Bone Shard Daughter last week and I was watching your reading vlog in parallel with my reading so I felt we were buddy reading hehe! I am also on a strike of reading POC books so I have Shadow of the Fox on my TBR too :) Happy to know that you are recommending it too!
The Bone Shard Daughter is beyond amazing. It was one of my favorite books last year. The second one comes out on November 9th, which is two days before my birthday. So, we all know that is going to be a birthday present to me.
I highly recommend Skulduggery Pleasant if you’re into YA urban fantasy with loads of twists and hilarious dialogue! Very underrated series here on BookTube
Such a great list 🌻 it always makes me so happy when someone mentions Howl's Moving Castle 🧡 I feel like the book is out of the view of Sophie and the movie is from Howl's point of view :)
Such great recommendations! Since you loved The City of Dreaming Books (can't wait to read it), I'm wondering if you've read one of my go-to spring reads The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon? It's the first in the Cemetery of Forgotten Books series - noir, magical realism-ish, story within a story based around romance, revenge, and a love of books.
I read in the shadow of the fox last February and got the others later and I'm gonna read them both next, my English book phase didn't start until september last year so I have them in German but the covers of them in German are so much prettier than the originals so it's okay

I’m surprised you didn’t mention house on the cerulean sea! Maybe it’s more summery, but it’s also got a great springtime/rebirth vibe lol
DEFINITELY!!
Aw yisss, Cerulean Sea is next on my list! It’s been sitting on my shelf for far too long 🖤
I was waiting for it to mentioned as well
I'm gonna reread it in the summer
