- I have been trying to get hold of an Asus Bezel free kit for quite some time and when my good friend Terry at / vibemotorsports said he had one for sale I jumped on it.
For what you get its extremely expensive, but if bezels bother you then this could be right up your street. Of course, that's if you can ever get hold of a set!

Make sure you have any bezel correction in surround set to 0. It looks much better in games that allow you to set a negative value for bezel correction (basically everything besides iRacing). Value for money wise, I agree with you. I wouldn't have bought them if it wasn't for content creation as the bezels don't bother me when driving either.

It is a quality of life product only a tiny % of an already niche market will ever buy, so why not.
This looks great, an improvement over bezels for sure. However a way too high of a price for 6 pieces of plastic IMO

@@Kieron762 I think he's trying to say that there is no competition out there that's cheaper. It's such a niche product and so new that ASUS can essentially charge whatever price they like. Additionally, you're not just paying for plastic.. you're paying for the company's whole research and development into the product, too.

Great video as usual Dave, I've run these for about 6 months, I can't imagine not having them. I'm running them on 3 32's with 3d printed extentions, but to all the haters, and the 2 guys that down voted your video, the key with these is your monitors need to be lined up perfectly, no gaps and top and bottoms on adjoining monitors need to be dead on. Once that's achieved, and your angle is in the 120-130 range, iRacing allows you to go to zero bezel adjustment, and titles like AC-ACC allow a negative adjustment for even better seemlessnes. $120 pounds is steep, actually $109 US. But, here is the thing, Using these on larger then designed monitors, I've gone through different mounting types, tape, materials....and in changing out to 3dprinted mounts, I've had to handle these quite a bit, there is actually a lot of engineering going in with these plastic strips, they have fine vertical cuts in them, and thats the magic, those cuts refract the image behind it to fool your eye into thinking it's a seemlessnes screen, and the more you use it, the more you will appreciate it. Personally, I think it's well worth $109, and it's also perfect for 3 screen sim rigs, having said that, they are not great, if you are just using them outside of gaming, they cause a ghost effect for anything located behind them, such as things on a task bar etc. All in all, if people don't like them for their 3 screen rigs, they probably didn't take the time to set them up right.
not sure if you did this dave but i think adjusting bezel width in iracing settings can line up the display better so that they match with no step in the display

As a long time ROG bezel kit user I miss really important instruction here. YOU NEED TO ALIGN YOUR MONITORS into perfect positions first, which I don´t see in your case Dave. When I see how side monitor is off the line with center monitor it is almost impossible to make perfect screen with this kit. So, my advice for anyone here is get your monitors into perfect positions first. highly recommend Simlab vario vesa monitor mounts - they are perfect. Then you can start to install bezel kit and tweak the settings in the games.
Hey buddy, along with the proper angle, you need to level and align your monitors properly for the best effect, especially if you want lines and text to line up properly.
@Pro Sim Racing leaving a little gap between the side bezels helps as well. Leaving about half a center meter gap i get perfect alignment
I would 100% buy these if I had a rig and played American Truck Sim or ETS since you have to look around and stuff.
I think the bezel correction setting on iRacing needs to be negative or something to not have a gap for the bezels. Because essentially it needs to display the pixels beneath the bezels now.
That being said, I don't own a bezel free kit or a triple screen. (Maybe will in the future?) So that's just info I've heard from other reviews of the bezel free kit.

dang.. seeing the "first person" view of this sort of monitor setup really shows how massive an advantage a proper triple screen setup gives someone.
Yeah a large triple screen set up is great if your not a fan of vr
30% of the price of the new CSL DD wheelbase... this is so out of whack its not even funny... but it looks awesome!!
Glad to see you got them Dave. I got mine last year and in general I agree with your thoughts. I did at first got them for the camera but after several months of use without just feels strange.

Hi Dave! Is there anyway you can make a video on how you record your gameplay? I have a triple monitor setup as well and would love to record my gameplay. However, doing so on my gaming pc it doesn’t seem to handle it well. So I have a secondary computer to handle the recording but I have no clue what to do! The quality of your videos are great and I am just curious on how you manage to get it looking that way!

Can't decide whether to go triple or VR for myself thought.
Max V is still using triples, no offence to all the happy VR people, but I'll wait a bit longer
Love the realism and depth of VR, but it gets hot in my oculus for longer races
If fanatec charges $150 for a 180w power supply supply to unlock the CSL DD full performance, why not pay $100 for an optical device that hides your bezels. Y'all complaining it's too expensive, just don't buy it, or come up with a better cheaper alternative if you can find one 🤷
I do not like the rather large „dirty“ look afterwards. I prefer the clean black (disruptive) border.

I ended up ordering these from 'Merica and wouldn't be without them now. If you're running bezel correction in Nvidia surround disable it and alter screen settings in game. Ive got AC, ACC, and AMS 2 lined up perfectly. Iracing is a different story, there is no negative bezel adjustment so is slightly misaligned. Not sure if it can be done in the game files though.

Do you find the curved monitors to be better than the flat ones? Curved seem to be cheaper these days. Not sure why.
I don't notice the curve at all in the rig so I'd say no. 👍

Looks OK for what it is currently have a dual curved screen setup myself and would be far more interested if price wasn't over the top, wondering if a DIY job could get similar results at a fraction of the cost

Good informative video Dave but the product is way overpriced. I would be tempted at £60 or £70 quid though.
I have them for just under a year. I would suggest to be very careful with them. They scratched easy and they will cracked. But they definitely work great I have a slight gab in my monitors and it does help to close it up.
Really wanted to try these, but my bezels are wider than 12mm. I figured they wouldn't work.

I put them on a long time ago and was not a fan. I run triple 34's and when I use the task bar it's impossible to see setup on either the top or bottom. The sides are so far away on 34's it's just as inconvenient. Also the video is way to muddy for me. It all comes down to person preference in the end. They scratch very easy so be very delicate not to mention over priced.

For anyone interested. There is a few big computer stores that have these available in australia. They're about au$240
I have finally given them a go. I like them but struggle to get my monitors level on a Trak Racer triple monitor stand. The bottom on the outside monitors sag in. This makes the alignment a bit dodgy.
These were actually available in Scandinavia at the retailer Komplett for a massive discount almost all of last year, I picked up a kit for I think just around 50 euro about a year ago. My guess is they sold incredibly badly which is why you can't get them at all any more.
I have to add pixels to make mine look right. So with no lenses I subtract about a centimeter, but with lenses I have to add about a centimeter to the image by tweaking the visible screen size setting in iRacing graphics.

So you can only have those monitors at that angle? You can’t adjust the monitor angle based on your FOV settings?

I just ordered these and can’t wait to give them a try. It’s hard to tell from the camera angle, but do you have the sides of the monitors butted up next to each other? Or is the side monitor behind the front one to hide the bezel?

Same here Michael. I have the fanatec wheel, wheel base and v3 pedals still in the box. Im waiting on racing seats to become available at GT Omega so i can order the prime cockpit as a bundle but been told i might have to wait another 2 months for stock to come back...eeeek

@@robindavies145 I ended getting a pre-built from nzxt with a 3060TI. I hate to not build myself but this was the only way to get a graphics card.
Not bad at all but I think it is by far to expensive. 3x TFT plus that kit you are not far away from a 49" (32:9) which I would prefer if bezels would bother me.
-Seik- but 32:9 doesn't give you anywhere near the FOV of triples i know as i went from 49in ultrawide to triple 32in XG32VC 170 1440p panels and this bezel free kit and the ultrawide doesn't even come close. 49in ultrawide wides with the correct FOV inputted is terrible imo and if you move the seat back to see more of the mirrors it feels stretched which i believe is due to not rapping around you like triples do.

Little tip for everyone using this kit, leave a little gap between your side screens and centre screen bezels then if you get the gap right between the screens it lines up perfectly

There have been reports of these scratching up the screens. Did you have any issues? Are the edges of the plexiglass sharp?

@Ortho LAD i actually scratched the lower chin bezel on my 2 side screens. You just have to be very careful and i wouldn't recommend buying if anyone needs to keep taking on/off as long as they fitted carefully and left alone you will be fine. I have mine on 32in screens with some 3d printed adapters and work great, one thing i did find is leaving a little gap between the side monitors and the centre i get a lot better picture alignment

How wide is your 3x27" monitor setup in total?
had that on my rig for an hour and returned it. i couldn't adjust it in a way lines match. if you look at the air vent on your right hand side - it is one line at a certain angle and this kit divides this into certain angle then different angle (more horizontal) and the again back to cetrain angle... but it's something you either like right away or say "meh". plus there are issues with sharpness and in case you have any kind of gauge/meter there you won't be able to read it (was an issue for me in MSFS2020 especially).
@Przemyslaw Zender i have this kit and leaving about half a Centre meter gap between the monitors makes it line up perfectly, you also need you screen millimetre perfect alignment wise if you do that every single game lines up perfect. Look at race beyond matter he got his almost perfect i got mine 100% perfect by leaving the gap between the monitors then adjusting in game

Once I've found a GPU in stock, sourced the rest of the components, built a PC, upgraded my wheel and pedals, acquired a set of 27" curved triples and subscribed to iRacing I'm definitely getting some of these if they're in stock.

I’m in process building a nice iracing rig. I do have a question why did you step away from the 49 inch monitor? And was the monitor giving you any problems? I’m thinking of going with 49 inch ultra wide also.
No problems just wasn't using it for what I intended. I only sim race on my rig now and triples always win for fov 👍

Using a rtx 2080 super card. Thanks for replying back. Most my rig should be here Monday. I went with r seat S1 with fanatec dd1 with formula wheel combo. The fanatec pedals and shifter.
