    In short, you're really cool dude. I just looked up what kind of material this is. It's called Lenticular Plastic Lenses. The price is $10 per sheet measuring 50 x 70 centimeters. I have a 3D printer. and if you don’t have one, ask some company to make a similar fastening for you. There is nothing complicated here. The maximum you will pay for everything is 25-30 dollars. but definitely not 120-130 dollars for the original. Thank you all for your attention and for the idea.

    Yo man I love the content you are putting out! The active dice, the hue lights, the rollcage…. All really great stuff man! I’m sure I’m not the only one who would love to see some how to videos for all these things! Your level of immersion is next level. Keep up the good work!

    I too have tried the Asus kit and returned it. I used the kit with 32" monitors and found the area that the kit covers blurs and darkens too much for my liking and found it distracting. My bezels are .25" thin, and I've decided that it doesn't bother me, especially when I use the three screens individually.

    I actually returned the the Asus Kit, I have my monitors lower to my rig for the FoV and at 40 degrees due to my space and it didn't work as well as I wanted. I definitely want to try the DIY, I feel like will work easier with any set up

      Its more customizable for sure, especially for setups with angles outside of the optimal range

    Hi, to avoid that dark overlay, what do u think of stickering the side bezels with white or some silver stickers ? Do u think it will mae it blend well ?

  • @munztdt
    @munztdt ปีที่แล้ว

    I have installed a DIY kit. And have the white line in the middle, Just like how you have it in the video. Any idea how to remove that?
    Giving a crease and a fold in the middle will help?

    • @theclockpit
      @theclockpit  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wasnt able to improve it beyond what I showed in the video. I found that creases were hard to form on the lenticular film reliably and it worsened the picture in my attempts. Not to say it cant be done, I just wasnt successful with it.

  • @MountainMcCumbee

    Which would you prefer? Both have pros and cons but the biggest con is the price from ASUS. Does the difference between the 2 justify the cost of the ASUS offering?

      The Asus is better.. whether it's worth it or not is up to how much you value a bit more clarity.

    Ive done the DIY solution, very happy with it but after watching your ack to back the ROG solution looks quite a bit better. Not as much distortion it seems. But i aint paying $250 aud for something i did for free.

    • @theclockpit
      @theclockpit  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Asus is better but not by tons... certainly not TWO FIFTY wow... if I wasn't trying to create better realism content I wouldn't have forked out the $120 USD for that marginal improvement.

    Why was the g7 + g9 monitor setting not good?

    • @theclockpit
      @theclockpit  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      G9+G7 is excellent!, however it has its own limitations like any screen setup. There are caveats are tradeoffs to both. (No windshield bezel, excellent FOV and easy display alignment vs adjustable angle and full screen HDR to name a few.. both triple G7 and G9+G7 are top end screen setups. I will make a video on this to compare for everyone.

    • @jozsefgocsik7213
      @jozsefgocsik7213 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use now g7+g9 monitors, i have seen a few videos of your setups.Can you tell me how do you play ams 2 on g7+ g9 to recognize triple screen with srwe.I only can play with strechted image, however the game handles both monitors but the triple screen setup not available.To recognize triple screen adjustments i have to run it on 120 hz with pip mode.But with that method the low input lag option doesnt work.

    • @theclockpit
      @theclockpit  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jozsefgocsik7213 AMS 2 expects to see 3 inputs for "in game" triple settings. You can force it properly in the ini file but do not go into the in game settings or it will revert back. (distance, angles, custom resolution etc, in ini file) then try using the windowed borderless gaming tool and not swre for AMS2 I found it to work more reliably.

    • @jozsefgocsik7213
      @jozsefgocsik7213 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, i ve tried windows borderless gaming but it also doesnt handle triple screen.I set forcetriplescreen data="true"
      Allowtriplescreen data="true"
      Added the angles, sizes
      I didnt touch the ingame triple screen settings, but the image strechted.Maybe can you share your triplescreensettings.xml to check what have i done wrong?
