I would love to see a weekly vlog! I made the Malibu shirt early this year to wear as a beach top. I used tissue linen and it turned out lovely but I struggled with the directions on the placket. I could not find a tutorial anywhere so in the end I just sewed it up as made sense to me. I do love it though. I look forward to hearing your review. All your fabric is beautiful! Take care

I consider it one of the traps of adulthood that clothing is no longer available with cute and fun prints. Sewing just gives us the freedom to get around that! I have some outright childish prints in my collection (happy sharks anyone?) and I'm looking forward to sewing them up and wearing them. Enjoy the prints that make you happy! ❤
Bought the purple happy faces fabric too. Saw it on the Saturday prior to the latest Sew Toon in person, hummed and haaaa’d over it for a night and then bought it 😂 at least I thought about it but it’s so lush!

Well done Rachel on finishing the Malibu. I can totally relate. I’ve a cutout Honey blouse (from last year and it’s in a cupboard) using fabric I love so why haven’t I made it up? By the way the green of the sweatshirt you’re wearing really suits you.
I'm the same with purple, it's my favourite colour (blame Donny Osmond) but I never wear it! It makes me look yellow/jaundiced!!! Maybe I need to find 'my shade'!

Hello Rachel! I am not sure but the skirt you described made me think about the Alida skirt pattern by FibreMood. It’s not exactly as you described, for example it has buttons in the front and no zip. But it could be a starting point that you could adapt to suit the picture you have in mind. I hope it helps !
