It’s fun that you are sewing for a little one because that’s the age that lots of use are now, sewing for babies for fun now more than need and that’s so different than when we were young and poor, we can choose fabric that we ❤️ love
Rachel, you are reverse aging! Your hair color and cut are perfect for you. What exercise and diet are you doing? Spill all your secrets, please! Always love to see what you've made and are making. Thanks for taking the time to share with us!
I love your shorts, and the outfit for your granddaughter. So cute with the ric rac braid. The animal print fabric is gorgeous, can't wait to see the trousers. Thanks for another great vlog. ❤
Hi Rachel from down under. How about a Summer in New York dress for that satin fabric! Glad you are finally getting some warmer weather. Love your makes 😊
I'm writing as I watch - you look so good - not tired or jaded. Your shorts and top are so flattering - you look so perfect for summer. nana makes are so beautiful. Your fabric destash with the girls was so funny.Your fabrics are stunning - will be very interested in what co-ord set you make. Patterns are great too. Good luck with finding some time to sew! But you are. very productive.
Wow what a beautiful Selection of fabrics and patterns I can’t wait to see them, I’m off to Birmingham next week so I’ve been resisting all the sales and beautiful new fabrics ❤ it’s been really hard!
Such a cute outfit you made for Leyla & think the other plans you had for her sound great. Your fabric haul is super, quite varied & lovely selection of the patterns. Look forward to seeing them made up.❤
Always lovely seeing you on your channel. You look so well and fresh looking yes summer has finally arrived. I love your fabric haul I have some of those fabrics you purchased too. Your granddaughters outfits are so cute and adorable she is gonna look beautiful. Thank you for sharing your goodies today again Rachel you look amazing 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Wow, vhat a vlog! Really enjoyed it. Love your tips on trousers fitting, very helpful. All your fabrics are amazing. Your little granddaughter will be such a "cutie" in her NANA made outfit, 🎉😊. Thank you
Some lovely plans, fabrics and patterns. Really looking forward to see what you make if that sister mintaka fabric as its so unique 😍 I would personally make a dress for big occasions for sure x
Lovely vlog Rachel, I love your hair. Your fabric and patterns are lush too. My favorite is the crinkle cotton and the plain white pattern with holes in. Its just beautiful and will look gorgeous when finished. Also I have been collecting Italian lace tablecloths for months now due to a lady called Christine she is an American and lives in Valencia in Spain. Her site is really good. She also does PDF patterns and you get a free pattern from her. She makes gorgeous PJ's out of really gorgeous fabric.
Hello, what a fabulous fabric haul I see that simplicity oversized blouse in that table cloth fabric it dropped shoulder, but it doesn't have to look sloppy, and beautiful sleeves might work? The plain tops with the striped and leopard pants a must They geo LG print fabric. I see a blouse relaxed fit again, not sloppy relaxed with some capris Saw a similar set with the black tank blouse wore open ,fabulous capris were one pleat and straight legs fly front very sharp Fabric all beautiful You just need to cut out a few things all at once and everytime you have a few minutes sew a little Your so quick anyway lol You take care. Happy sewing Will be waiting for some makes
Love your vlogs, Rachel! Your description of hungry bum is spot on and I can relate! 😂 Your fabrics are gorgeous as always. The beautiful sea life fabric would look lovely as the Lois dress. I think that pattern looks great on you and it can easily go between both a day dress and a going out dress. 👗
A fab vlog filled with so many beautiful things. For your previous satin sea creature fabric,I would make a salt water slip dress. You would wear that daily and it would look perfect.I would then make a waisted blouse,I like the one from your new patterns that's a two piece. You could wear over it to make another style dress. You would then have an option of two dresses and a blouse. The new patterns with the white dress would look lovely made up in your white tableclothe fabric.
Rachel what beautiful fabrics you bought and that sea animal one is so unique. I love them. Great makes and patterns. You made my day as always when you put out a video. I just had hip replacement 3 days ago so it was nice to see this. Feeling miserable but you added a smile to my face. Thank you for your videos.
Hi Rachel... You're looking fabulous and really liked most of your patterns you've chosen to make. Definately a couple I'll be buying too as a result... Happy sewing and I'm looking forward to seeing the finished garments. As usual thank you for sharing your sewing and home life.. Best wishes to you and your family ❤
Wow love the fabrics especially the black and cream geometric pattern I hope it comes back in stock, my daughter would love it in a co-ord set. Really enjoy your vlogs Rachael thank you ❤
Thanks Rachel, some great fabrics, I loved the Biba style one, who could resist it. I saw Ruan and her Fleur blouse and had to buy the pattern, which has now come so am itching to make that. Need to toil some trousers first and will look out for a hungry bum 😂. Look forward to you Nell review ❤
Oh, my! 20 degrees in shorts? Where I live anything below 70 degrees Fahrenheit has me looking for a sweater! From now through Monday our high temperatures for the day will range from 91 degrees Fahrenheit to 99 (32.78 C - 37.2 C) with a heat index (feels-like temps) of 102 degrees Fahrenheit to 105 degrees Fahrenheit (38.89 C - 40.6 C). Enjoy your beautiful summer weather!
@@StitchedUp Same. Unless it gets below 50 degrees Fahrenheit (10-ish C?) my husband refuses to wear anything besides shorts and flip flops since he retired! 😂
Hi Rachel, Welcome to the joys of trouser pattern alteration. I follow J Stern Designs on You Tube . I find her very helpful. I would say you should add a little to the back crotch depth but not the front. You could slash and add a wedge of paper from centre back seam to side seam just above the crotch curve. This will not alter the side seam length. Or you could add a little to the back crotch point by slashing down the thigh and filling with paper. Good luck xx
That was such a great vlog Rachel! I’m going to be making my first Thea’s soon so it was interesting hearing about your toiles, thank you for sharing. Hope you and Martin enjoyed Lithuania, it’s such a beautiful country X
Wow! Lots of exciting stuff. The Crafty Pie buttons are really cute. I happen to have 4m of red linen in my stash so am going to copy Ruan too but have got the Style Arc Porter pattern for mine (similar but v neck). Have fun sewing all your fabrics up when you can 😊💖
Love your channel! I’ve tried endless welt pocket tutorials on TH-cam but my attempts were awful until I followed one by Tock Custom, simple and it works.
The max temp here today is also 20 degrees and we’ve already brought out the fluffy jumpers and fleecy track pants and oodies 😂. You know, I think we might even have a fire tonight 🔥☺️
Hi Rachel - what's the pattern no. for the capri length combats? Had a similar pair yonks ago and would love to have them again (62 but forever 25 ha ha ha)... Many thanks in advance for your help.
Think your trousers are going to look fantastic. If the front of the trousers are ok then it might be worth doing a full seat adjustment rather than adding depth to both front and back x
The trouser crotch curve can be confusing. To simplify it, look at it like half an orange to fit a marble into the orange. You scoop out just a little for a marble to fit. To fit a golf ball into the orange, you need to scoop out more to sit the golf ball into a bigger space. The hip circumstance for trousers needs to fit your hip adequately before you begin. If the trousers are tight at the hips, scooping the crotch only will not solve your problems. Also, look for patterns with a decent slant on the centre back of trousers. Which allows your bum to fit into a bigger space because the area has been removed, if the pattern is almost straight on the CB. The design is for small bums
Love both the dresses ❤ Understand fully braking your😅 own self imposed fabric ban. Is there away of buying Jazz and wow products without going through Esty as I'm not happy with purchases ( not yours) I have made and Esty response. Lynda.
Just a heads up, a fair few of the sewing community who sew with big 4 patterns, as a rule, don't care for McCall's patterns. You may have a different experience though.

That blue will go with her red hair so well. You picked a winner there!
OMG the stretch cotton leopard print!!!! PERFECTION!

Haha trust me it only needs to get into double figures for men to bring out shorts and sliders in the uk, we’re pretty hardcore 😄

Stick on cups = "chicken cutlets"... at least that's what we called them when I worked at Jo-Ann's😂
🤣🤣🤣

your shorts are gorgeous on you, im sick with the cold 😩😩😩
Ugh!
I have a well, padded bum myself and always use a full seat adjustment when making trousers. Adding to front crotch might not be necessary!

Great fix on your pants toile. The fix is so anti intuitive to my minds eye, but I love that someone somewhere was smart enough to work it out.

Sew a Lois dress with the beautiful viscose satin
What make is the green/pink fabric that you got from first for fabrics? Beautiful
I don’t know the brand but I’ve put a link to it in the description box 😊
