- The 2015 Reebok CrossFit Games had everyone on the edges of their seats as the top women from Iceland battled for a spot on the podium.
Annie Thorisdottir, a former Games champion, withdrew from the competition, and rookie Sara Sigmundsdottir held on to first place most of the weekend only to be surpassed in the final events by Fittest Woman on Earth Katrin Davidsdottir.
Thorisdottir and Sigmundsdottir are seeking redemption and were in a heated head-to-head slugfest at the Meridian Regional in May. Will one of them triumph in Carson, or will Davidsdottir reassert her dominance? Could the 2016 Games be the first time three Icelandic athletes stand atop the podium?
The 2016 Reebok CrossFit Games take place July 19-24, at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.

Its funny how in every other country the best athletes train at private gyms and stuff and rarely go out in public but in iceland i see sara everyday at our local gym just training beside me

Two the least likeable athletes - and somehow, they are CrossFit favourites (especially looking at all the judging Bridges got during regionals - his muscle - ups for sure were not strict...)

I agree it was too short, and I think the first one was longer because they simply had more footage, that was the only one shot before and during the regionals really. The others were shot more recently and they progressively got shorter, time crunched.

I showed my daughter this because it's so important that girls know that this is possible. Incredibly inspiring and I'm just so in awe of their dedication and hard work. Also, what is it about Iceland that produces these amazing athletes?
Wow Icelandic women are taking over the CrossFit challenge, but the three of these women really work hard. DOTTIR is the name to remember for CrossFit. I'm definitely inspired to do more to get more physically fit after seeing these three ladies their commitment and dedication to the training they do. Great job ladies I'm a fan.

I am lifting weights since I was 16, and they do look manly because they do use steroids, how about that?
@@mariuszgonczewski5865 dude, sorry about this im about to say, but u just lift weights, (dont get me wrong, i do too, i have been doing it for 25 years), u workout probably 5 let us say 6 times a week for an 1h/2h maybe, dont know with which intensity do u train, but i think it is irrelevant. These women (as well as most man in crossfit) workout 6 to 8h a DAY , EVERYDAY...They dont eat garbage, and try to keep a clean diet for the most part, they do cardio every single day, it is not an hobby for them, or just a way to stay active and healthy, it is there JOB. So, unless ur doing the exact same thing, dont even presume to know how much effort they put in, they look the way they look, because they outwork 99% of the world population in terms of workouts. That includes u, and even me (and believe me im 41, i outwork most people i know, and in every gym i have been in, i look in top shape year round, maintain a bodyfat % between 6 and 10% year round, do active rest on my rest days, and have a pretty active job myself, and still i cant even compare or even comprehend the amount of work they put in, since i have never even done anything remotely close to their insane workouts) , so, before ejaculating from ur mouth, think before u write. I dont like crossfit as a sport, just cause personally it doesnt work for me, but i have absolute respect for what those men and women do, it is mind boggling how they manage to do what they do, and to excell at so many different types of workouts, speed, endurance, strength, balance, gymnastics...it is just INSANE. Are there steroid users in the sport? i believe there are, i wouldnt argue against it, but most of them are clean, they get tested regularly for ilegall substances, and i do believe the majority of them are clean. Just watch a couple of videos of their daily lives, and u will understand why they look the way they do. A regular person would day after their average post wake up warm up sessions, which in itself is already in general a high level workout, after that most of them still have a heavier before lunch (after breakfast) session, and in the afternoon yet another session. They workout more in a day then most "average joe gym goers" like u do in a week...so be polite, educate yourself, and then talk..
