Some days I will be very sore but this little beauty is a great set of stretches that helps me to get a good workout when I do my jog and my times are good with and I feel so much better in recovery. Dear announcers: when running you should naturally land on the forefoot or midfoot. Heel striking only developed with modern shoes due to the padding. Forefoot striking allows you to use the stretch reflex of the calf complex allowing a better spring forward

I work out 6 days a week consistently and I do rowing….how these women rowed consistently without even slowing down for 8 minutes is INCREDIBLE and then to run to the water and swim like that lol I don’t know I’m speechless tbh. I row for 2.5 minutes at a time full speed ahead and I need a 1 minute break and then I do it again 4 times…in that minute break I CAN NOT breathe…so I don’t know how these women do it with all that muscle mass….sheeeesh

      100% agree. The commentators know next to nothing about physiology and they are commenting way too much on it. "Barefoot running is quad dominant." NOPE it is extremely the opposite muscle groups. "When you are swimming all the blood is in your shoulders." NOPE, that's lactic acid, moron. "The shoulders being tight will shorten stride length." NOPE, it just wastes energy, and actually a short stride length can be good if the cadence is high.

    These commentators know squat. Especially the kick the last 30sec comment out of the water. Yeah, if you want your heart rate to spike and to cramp up really good. Swimming involves kicking and there is no need to ramp up kicking at the end of a swim before a run or bike. Experienced triathlete here

    • @samanderson7745
      @samanderson7745 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I've never done that during the swim in any triathlon from sprints to Ironman. Kicking is generally inefficient and shouldn't be your main driving tool for multisport competition. Increasing rate might slightly increase speed but will consume significantly more energy than what the minimal forward boost is worth. Last 5 minutes or so of the bike, yeah, I absolutely drop down a gear or two and try to pick my cadence up over 95 to get ready for the run. But I don't kick harder during the swim, gonna need those legs later on!

      No.. any CrossFit gym I walk into with just the average women that train consistently and eat well have the similar shape just not as big, cause they aren’t athletes that train for multiple hrs a day.. it must just be the combination of Olympic lifting, gymnastics, functional fitness all at constantly varying degrees..

      @Darko Ale 🤷‍♀️..well I know some extremely fit women and men, all the same shapes and "crossfit standard" shape. And I know they don't do drugs, but I can't speak for every athlete obviously. There's a different shape for every type of sport... because they all require a different set of skills and output from body, which I thought was common sense... 😅 rugby players are big.. tennis players leans.. power lifters thick.. strongmen huge. The women of crossfit are like small versions of the men... which makes sense as they all do the same workouts and training programs.. just less weight for females... if you care to be educated, do some actual research rather than making comments like "keep telling yourself that" I don't need to tell myself anything I'm not affected by what I see in women in crossfit... I'm watching the scores, times and performances. After each comp I've witnessed in aus the top 3 winners male and female are carted away and drug tested after finals. They do random testing at the games in which they have found a male in the past and he was banned from competing for years.. so if u think every female Althete is risking that then they must not ever win or want to win.

      Yes PEDs are obviously used, but of course they will claim otherwise and the anti doping agencies are notoriously corrupt. They are just for show to give the brand that is Crossfit, legitimacy.
      Women can't build no where near as much muscle as you see on the video due to far lower natural testosterone then men, around 20 times less! The only way these women can be like this, is from PEDs. Working out multiple hours a day without drugs, will not build muscle but do the opposite and destroy muscle due to over training especially for women. Working out doing different exercises for different sports does develop different strengths and body shapes, but it's down to degrees. The degree in this video and in Crossfit, is way beyond what is naturally attainable.
      Remember, Crossfit is a business, aimed to get profit, even if it means drugging their entire "employer base".
