- In today's video, I'll be bringing you the latest updates in the world of AR & VR. First up, we'll discuss the news that GTA San Andreas is still coming to VR, despite rumours of its cancellation. Following that, we'll look at the new feature allowing Quest MR users to disable the boundary.
Next, we'll dive into the improvements in eye tracking with the Quest v67 update, which also allows for freely positioning windows and includes Wi-Fi QR code support. We'll also talk about Horizon Worlds expanding its list of mobile-supported worlds.
Additionally, we'll cover Meta's decision to end support for the Quest 1, with the last security patches coming next month. We'll also explore the UploadVR Humble Bundle, offering great deals on VR games this summer.

There's no way GTA vr isn't coming, Rockstar I believe would silently cancel it but I think Meta would either just say something at this point or just keep throwing money at it until something comes out
hopefully meta will do something and it's not a repeat of rockstar's mostly forgotten "Agent" game that was announced almost 2 decades ago and never mentioned again.

I've got to say it's so funny to me that Apple is like "Hey, you don't even NEED controllers for this one folks." and everybody was like "Nah, it's okay." and just built them anyway. It's the multi-button mouse debacle all over again. Just give the people what they want, Apple.
People don't buy Apple products to do with them what they want. They buy them to be told, by big daddy Tim, how to use them.

In V67, I lost the option to view 3d/VR videos in browser. the bottom options to switch from 2d to VR or 3D is gone now.

hi, i'm that one quest 1 person you're probably searching for in the comment section.
I remember the first day i had got the headset, it was the best feeling ever both getting and using it, seeing it go after 5 years make me pretty sad seeing how not that long ago i was making friends in rec room and destroying people in gorilla tag, i have upgraded to the the quest 3 though but i'm still gonna miss you buddy.
Don't miss it, just use it for PCVR dark games like HLA. Or as a emergency headset

I just upgraded from the quest 2 which I had for about a year or so to the quest 3 about a week or so ago and love the upgrade the only downside is I got the 128 instead of the 512 and personally I think the base storage should have been 256
I got v67 this morning on my Quest Pro, there must be some kind of delay in phasing the update among the platforms
10mm for the Surreal Touch is totally unacceptable. Why would they release something this inaccurate? 1mm is the minimum here and sub 1mm is the goal.
Important question. Is it possible to do back to previous updates and if so how??

Is it out on OTA or do you still have to go through the Meta website? I’m not seeing it come through.
I hope they improved the eye closing correctly with the quest pro's eye tracking. It was a problem for me that when laying down my eyes look down as well to be able to talk to people and my blinking would just break. Also, eye tracking on the quest pro tends to not detect your eyes fully closed when they are.
Anyone been able to update with the software update tool? I ran it and am still on v66 on my quest 3. I thought this would be a way around their vague you'll-get-it-when-you-get-it update rollouts since it's still says no updates available when I checked in the headset

In Australia and still can't access horizon world's. I'm sure sooner or later it will be available but as of now it's still not and with how long meta take I don't expect it to be available for months

Those 3rd party apple vis controllers--if they're less pricey than base stations + other controllers, then you're likely to have a market for them outside of the apple vis due to how many people who have wanted to get their hands on the quest pro controllers for headsets that don't have great controllers, or have controllers that lack needed buttons for pcvr games. I hope they're worth it and not just 3rd party shit.

once we can build our own android to the quest we can start seeing true multitasking and google/apk flat apps.
I really love the vision pro effect, meta is just showering us with ui "gifts" that should have been in there years ago, and now they are rushing this stuff out the door.

Can v67 remember multiple scanned rooms yet? That really needs to be fixed. Currently, every time I switch rooms, the entire room needs to be re-scanned, even though I had saved and named it. Is there something I’m doing wrong, or this just isn’t fixed yet?

When did v67 launch? today? because i tried yesterday through the update tool and it just put v66 on. I did have 67 through the PTS but had issues. and my headset overheated when doing an update and wiped all my data lol. so had to start fresh. So annoying.
Anyone else also facing the issue of "water debris" error in Quest 3 while plug and play ? Because i use magnetic pin charger and ports are clean still getting error every 20 min @mysticle can you try on your end also I saw some post on community that have same problem since V64

Is the tracking of the quest 3 actually that bad for fast movement games (beat saber) like everybody says? Is it as good as quest 2 or better? I am thinking about buying one on monday sooo... pls help me.
There are a lot of top high ranking players with a Quest 3 if you take a look at BeatLeader/ScoreSaber, so I'd say it's not as bad as most people said it was when it launched.
In my experience upgrading from a Quest 2 to a 3 very recently it's fine, but in some scenarios it's worse than the Quest 2.
I've noticed some issues and limitations in tracking at first (it's easier to oclude the IR lights of the controllers for example), but after some weeks of playing I'm having no more problems really (only skill issue ones lol), so I think you'll instinctively get used to it and learn the appropriate technique.

@@Raptorialand You can see on the scores (on BL/SS) what headset and controllers people use, I don't think that many people use the pro controllers, also I've read they sometimes drift away. The Quest 3 ones are good enough, so I'd say go for it and give it some practice time to get used to them.
I had the same doubts and I don't really regret the upgrade, pretty much everything else is amazing.
Edit: Also, disabling hand tracking sometimes tends to improve controller tracking stability on fast paced movement, since they started doing mixed tracking on the Q3.

Hate the New Window Layout (using Quest Pro) as you still can't push the windows AWAY!! Controlling distance is just as important as all other positions, especially when watching media. Also, the keyboard is tiny and really close to your face when New Window Layout is switched on. So annoying.

I keep putting off buying a Quest 3 because I have a PC and most of the games I want to play (system sellers) are available on Steam anyway, and probably better. Also most of the standalone stuff is just one more thing between a PC and the lenses. At least it's wireless tho.
I don't know there are a few quest exclusives. I tend to get games on quest when they are exclusives, Batman / RE4, (App lab etc) or use a special feature only the quest can do like hand tracking or AR like Demeo. Otherwise I agree with you, you can just get the PCVR steam version of the same game and play that on quest.
There's no probably about it, tethered headsets are always better then snapdragon phone chips. About to upgrade my Playstation VR headset. Already been buying physical games for it.
