Mixed Reality and Augmented Reality. Basically the same thing. AR is more laying things on top of the real world. Mixed Reality is the blending of the two. But seriously it's pretty awesome!
We can watch content using the Meta browser too. And we can make the screen flat or curved. There's even roller coasters in TH-cam VR. Years ago watching content didn't work.
Great video ... now I really want to try the last two painting apps and the puzzle app. I would like to show my 5 year old son the Ocean Rift app but he is to young for VR.

Yeah those resolutions are not true to what you are actually seeing technically. I can't wait till all the headsets are practically indistinguishable from reality. You know it's just a matter of time.
You need to turn up the resolution in the quest 3 settings. It can look even better if you use your quest as pcvr and have a good graphics card in your PC.
Don't give up hope! There's so much good stuff out there and more coming that is definitely adult. Slowly but surely. Do you have a PC to try PCVR? You can link it and enjoy a LOT more.

Honestly, I just went for the 128GB model, and I'm not a beginner. You can always delete and re-install things. I even record a lot of video onto mine. I just have to remember to offload my videos. I guess it could be more convenient to have more storage space, but for me it's not worth spending all that extra money when you get the same core system! Also if you're buying the system let me know and I'll give you my referral code so we can both get $30 store credit once you activate your new headset!
Wow, I've just watched two of your videos. If you aren't working for Zuck you should be getting something from Meta. They don't have an efficient way (or ignore marketing strategies?) to advertise what their goggles are capable of. I have plenty of negative opinions of Zuckerberg, but this tech is too good to ignore. Fascinating to me that this visionary is also the worst type of lethal, corporate opportunist. I am not a huge gamer but am more interested in the groovy experiential aspects of this tech. Thank You!

It's basically simulated within your space. It's not ACTUALLY 8k since the headset doesn't display that. But it will place it in your space as if it were full 8k. It's technically downgraded in resolution, but it still looks pretty amazing!
Figman would have been nice if it had not such a totally screwed, non-intuitive intercace. Good interface design is one of the MOST OVERSEEN things in app development 😐
@@GameListPlus comparing this with just the beginning of Red Matter 2, Saturn - this game is just poor. And considering that it is just a fraction of Red Matter 2, but here it is the whole game, this is even worse.
At the time of making the video it was only a demo and it was, for me, just a mixed reality exploration experience. The full game has since been released. So I get what you are saying. Have you played it? It's pretty awesome!

I would recommend you put on a neck brace for a few weeks. You have turkey techno neck syndrome. TH-cam doesn’t like a techno turkey neck head bobbing all over the place.

I hear you, it's not the most intuitive for sure. But once you learn how to use it, it's still pretty amazing what a non professional can do.
Meta quest should have a quick access for pass through.
I think you can set it to where you just tap the side to turn on passthrough!
