Problem with all the southerners is they're so far detached from us and unaware that they think we're just in a little goldfish bowl. Once we're in Europe, the foreign teams will be saying best thing to ever happen. Proper passionate fans from England supporting their team hasn't happened for years.

I am a southerner and Newcastle is my favourite place in England. It feels the most English, with the accent, the Britishness (optimism and humour) and the amazing history as it’s on the river Tyne so the normans favoured it and it played a major role in the industrial revolution similar to the midlands, which birthed the modern world. And even more crazy is that it’s home to Hadrian’s wall, the largest and arguably most significant Roman archaeological feature in Britain, as well as the undisputed biggest. Northumberland in itself is just amazing.
And who can forget the Newcastle Castle? Has to be mentioned for the amazing name 😂

I admire the Newcastle supporters for sticking with there team through thick and thin as much as I admire the Leeds fans for doing the same . But the personal abuse they gave Steve Bruce is unforgivable and they should hang their heads in shame . He’s a football man brought in by Ashley to basically be his fall guy . He looks a broken man and please god he doesn’t retire but gets a job where he’s wanted and admired and he’s successful.
Good luck Steve with whatever you choose to do as a Man Utd fan you’ll always be our hero and you’ll always get the reception you deserve at Old Trafford .

Spent years on and off working in Munich, Hamburg, Den Haag, Maastricht, Zurich, Chicester, Liverpool and many more cities and towns and Newcastle is just as good...maybe with the exception of Amsterdam...but there is no place like Amsterdam.
