The thing I've found with the three Bogner pedals is that the Red can do stuff that both the Blue and the Uberschall can do, but the Blue and the Uberschall are kind of locked into their own thing. The Red did lovely low gain tones and crazy high gain chug at the same time.
I like how you actually demonstrate in the correct sense of the word. Often pedal demos consist of mere some tweaking and tons of playing, playing and playing. Thanks!
Finally a quality demo of this pedal. Many other demos are so vanilla that they led me to believe this thing was overrated. Not anymore. Good job as always, Shane.
@@intheblues Sorry, internal dialogue there. I meant I finally 'found' a good demo (yours) after seeing a number of others. I actually gave up looking at that pedal because the other demos I had seen were so lame. But I've come to trust your demos and it finally made sense when I noticed this one. Cheers and thanks!
intheblues haha we can tell from the jacket 😜. I follow your channel, but only now I’ve come across one of these for sale - thus I’m checking this review out
The Blue pedal kicks ass....still have mine...the red is "ok" but the blue can do that broken up sound then boost it for Plexi tones that border on early Eddie...
would you play this into your T21 trademark 60 and if so, with what T60 settings? I have both and am curious to see how you would approach things. Liked your add - good initiative! Best regards and thanks, DCL
Very nice demo. My list of pedals to check out just keeps getting longer, but this one seems more versatile than most. Also, I want the tabs to your demos. LOL
Nicely done again! I can pick one of these up used from a friend but I believe I am better off with fewer switches. Great sounds/tones for sure though.
Has anyone ever played this into a 1977 super twin reverb fender and what was your impressions on it? Does anyone know of any Demo videos using the mentioned above? Thanks Musicians.
Hello, I need a recommendation, I am undecided between this pedal (ecstasy blue) or the bb Preamp xotic, I am looking for something transparent that sounds defined, that sounds good in the clean channel and that also heats the tubes of my tube amp when I want to use the saturated channel . Apart from being versatile, what pedal would you advise me?
I know this is a little late but if I remember correctly it is both before and after, the gain volume is before and the volume is after...that is also the reason why it can't be used by itself. Going from memory on that so might want to research it some more if you are still wanting to know but I believe that is correct.
Nice video man, you really went thru all the points of the pedal and played the guitar in a way that showcased the pedals usefulness very well.
holy grail tone = early silverfaced bassman 100 head and ecstasy blue. disgustingly good

Thanks for the insight mate, much appreciated :-)
Is that true? I am surprised to hear red does low gain well...
I studied the blue and Red quite a bit. The Red may do low-gain alright but it has a way darker tone than Blue. Blue sounds 'cool'.

And "pedals are for losers", according to Bonamassa. Opinions are just that.

Great demo. I bought a Scarab Deluxe from Deluxe Guitars a while back and liked the service, so it's good to see you working with them.
Nice demo. Going thru all the different tones very well!
FUCK YES!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS THE HARDCORE BLUES SOUND I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks a lot mate! This is a pretty old video now. I appreciate that cheers!

Great review and nice playing. saw a used one of these for sale and your demo was very helpful.
Bloody Awesome Pedal!
This was a Musician's Friend Stupid Deal of the Day a few months ago and I grabbed it for ~ $150. Great pedal.

I like boost on set low and then use the trim pots for fine tuning rock tones with the 20th mode b2
On top of the pedal i love how you play

I run the red/blue with my 68 custom twin, best tones ever!

Love the blue pedal...orgasmic tones
Awesome demo

What type of amp are you using? Ide like to hear the bogner played through a 1977 super twin reverb tube amp on youtube.
Hey Shane, great demo mate.. one question, what would you choose for best tone from this or the Joyo Ironman Old School Distortion? Cheers
There is no comparison Joyo stuff is junk
You're the one for meeee, you're my ecstaaaasy... Sorry couldn't help it. Outstanding tone btw.
Is the boost before or after drive?
