Imagine if these pedals came out in the late '80s, early '90s... The world would be a different place!! They were exactly what I was looking for back then when i had an old Marshall! ..But of course there was nothing like this, except for the elusive amp itself. So I saved and bought myself a '95 101b (I can't complain now! even 17 years on). These pedals would surely be much sought after collectables by now.. I think we are seeing tone history in the making, all over again. Well done Reinhold!
I bought my Bogner Ecstasy 101b in -96. I have used it since with pride and joy! It has served me through many years and in a lot of strange giging and studio situations. Living in Norway is no easy walk in the park when it comes to weather conditions, I tell you. The Ecstasy has never broken down. It has been transported in very bad cars on slippery roads in temperatures way belove zero. What a built quality!!! My is, according to Jorg, #249 and it is the cornerstone of my sound.
I have the Blue Pedal, guy from Sweetwater said, buy it, you don't LOVE it, then send it back and I'll give you 100% of your money and I'll eat the shipping too! God, thank goodness that he did that... I love the sound that this gives me. I suck at playing, but this makes playing SOOOOO fun, I might just get better. Makes me WANT to grab my guitar and hammer away! Thank you so much, this makes it possible to get just that sound you want!
I tried the Blue and the Red at The LA Amp Show last weekend. OMG OMG....The Ecstasy Red is incredible. They had to drag me away. I turned around to the sales rep and said, "I'll take one right now," and that's when he told me these won't hit the streets till November. I'll be there in line, man. Great job, Reinhold.
There is something unique and special going on here. This is so very different from most guitar pedal videos. There is a combination of full on playing and beautiful musicality, no nonsense. I think I am inspired by whatever it is that Bogner has going. I'll probably start with an Uberschall pedal since I can't afford an amp head yet. If I had to guess I would say some of my favorite latter day Smashing Pumpkins tones were from the Bogner amps, and how can you not appreciate Alice In Chains. Anyway I've been sleeping on this brand a long time think I woke up a bit just now.
Hey... I agree about the recording but I just bought the Red and my sitting down experience so far it really only sounds like that with the boost engaged if you blow it wide open. I don't have a Bogner amp to compare to though... but its got a great range from very tame/bluesy to capt insaneo. Lots of options in between as well. :)
Got a question for you guys. I've got the Bogner Alchemist and I really love the Mercury channel which is the distortion channel. I heard this channel was based off of the Ecstasy amp. So do any of you know which channel comes closes too.....the Red channel or the Blue channel.
Uberschall may be the key to me plying again! I use a Hafler (by Bogner) Triple Giant in my old 80s rack setup. Been looking for a small sitting by he couch set up to give me that sound. Found It!
Couldn't Bogner at least get some talented players to demo these...I mean come on ; ) Seriously, all these guys are stellar. Doug Rappaport is strong! Love the tones from the Tele baritone.
I tend to play downtuned guitars(usually C standard, or B standard, but I do also play in D and E as well) and I play a lot of ambient type music along with melodic metal. I also have really short neat hair lol.
There is something I have no clear. If this pedals were built like PREAMP pedals, shouldn't them been connected in the Power amp in jack bypassing the preamp of the amplifier and letting the Bogner pedals do their own thing?? Please correct me
Doug is a REALLY strong player... strong as in great, and strong as in strong hands with what sound like large gauge strings. This was the first video I saw featuring Doug, and he's developed into one of the best rock guitarists in the biz in the 6 years since this Bogner demo was published on daTube.
I cannot speak about the other petals from experience, but the Uberschall pedal sounds nothing like that. I owned one, and it has a whole lot less gain than this video would lead you to believe. It does not even sound good, to me. I got it for $120, and I still ended selling it. I have an extensive pedal collection with everything from obscure rare dirt pedals to common scream clones, and I could not find any desire to keep it in the collection. Definitely try before you buy.
love Justin Derrico's playing, but the wah mouth has to go. Now, the guy right after him is badass! Dat groove! And he's playing upsidedown.. crazy. Doug Rappoport is always awesome too.
Buyer Beware! These are great pedals, no doubt about it. However, these are also great players. Your results may vary. (But, yes, I want the pedals. And that Blackface Deluxe!)
We've got a Bogner amp at church and its great, but these pedals don't seem to give you that "creamy" that you can get from a Bogner amp. Tones on these pedals sound harsh, especially as you go from Blue to Red to Uberschall. And listen to all that background hiss during the higher gain settings... too much noise. I like my OD at 11 like the next guy, but without a gate, its just too much garage band for my taste.
hola que tal muy buen video pero nomas como punto de vista estaria mucho mejor con unos suptitulos o con una traduccion en español, suerte y queremos mas
Brad, Have you ever played through a Bogner? I used to give lessons at a music shop that stocked Bogner and we had a couple of Shivas, 2 Ecstacy's (One was a Plexi model) and an Uberschall. (Man, That thing would melt your face off with a Drop "D" or "C#") :.)

Got mine coming from Sweetwater on Tuesday. Red one too. Cannot wait!!
I was one of a few Bogner Ecstasy 100b owner and I really hear it!!! COOL!
Great stuff...can't wait to try out those pedals!!!
Excited about the pedals! You're a genius Reinhold!

These will be the last pedals to fill my pedalboard. Seriously Reinhold, you had such a nice idea by making those pedals available, gotta love it.
All demonstration playing is extremely stunning.
This was an amazing fricken demo! Thanks!

loved the blue one
Stoked to stack these into my tone ..
Amazing....great tones, playing....Greg - great job my man...
These are all beautiful...my gosh
Not all Bogner. See 1:46 listing the four amps used in this demo:
Fender BF Deluxe
Marshall 50 watt
Bogner Duende
Bogner Goldfinger
Like the pedals, all these players are awesome!!!
Hey Bogner, kudos for doing a really good diverse demo.
I really need the small version of blue and red.
one of my original riffs, inspired from when i played with Buddy Miles.
These are some awesome players, great licks and phrasing
Holy $%#t, a lot of dynamic!!!!! Awesome!!!
Wow, the Red is where it's at for me! Serious punch and great clear gain!

awesome job!!..the ecstasy blue is just the kinda pedal i needed!
Thanks! Pedals should be available Fall 2012.
sublime work Mr Bogner- as usual (yawn)- any indication on a price these might retail for?
Reinhold is the Einstein of tone!
Doug Rappoport on a Fender Deluxe! Never heard a Deluxe sound like that!
What's the tunning of the telecaster? Sounds awesome!
Reinhold....PLEASE...PLEASE put the Fish into a pedal! In the meantime I'll be picking up an Uberschall pedal for Christmas this year!

They sound fantastic!

Reinhold is crazy, and a friggin genius
Sounds great!!
This pedals are great.!! I really want the red one..!! CAn u make it with the Ecstasy Logo that its on the Amp..??? That would be great..
Great sound, I want one...! where Can I buy those pedals?
what's that riff at 4:18???? KILLER!!!!
Want these!
Want!! Now!!
That was exactly my reaction when I saw it.
I think watching Hendrix play is one of the best things ever...
Uberschall may be the key to me plying again!

6:37-7:35 i really wonder how u play this kind of stuff? can we find some lessons? this pedal can be useful at high gain amp like bugera 6262?
Doug Rappoport is a beast
Bad ass guitar playing !
yeah, i liked how they did that.
Am I seeing things? Is that JP fella playing upside down? Not restrung either, but bass strings on the bottom? Whoa.
I tend to play downtuned guitars(usually C standard, or B standard, but I do also play in D and E as well) and I play a lot of ambient type music along with melodic metal.
I also have really short neat hair lol.
I am seriously considering adding the Ecstasy RED to my pedalboard. How does the red sound through a Rockerverb?
was I seeing things or did the guy playing left handed have the strings on upside down? well for a lefty......
I'll take one of each
true point
I dont get what is the REMOTE for..??? Is that for use with Racks or something like that..??
Can I put the Bogner Ecstasy Red pedal in the fx loop of my amp head or only in the input?
doyle bramhall 2 does this also
0:22 any tube on the circuit board?
Hi... What strat was used on 03:05...
There is something I have no clear. If this pedals were built like PREAMP pedals, shouldn't them been connected in the Power amp in jack bypassing the preamp of the amplifier and letting the Bogner pedals do their own thing?? Please correct me
Is this Marshall 50w head a Plexi???
4:10 are you lefthanded too?
yes yes yes
the blue one is quite good :D
Especially when they play Les Pauls completely upside-down!!
Uberschall.. Hell Yeahh!!!
Buddy Holly from Mars who designs kick-ass gear...I can't even think of a cooler human than Bogner at the moment...ROCK.
Uberschall through Deluxe Reverb sounds better than any Recto I've ever heard. Or maybe it's just Doug?
Doug is a REALLY strong player... strong as in great, and strong as in strong hands with what sound like large gauge strings. This was the first video I saw featuring Doug, and he's developed into one of the best rock guitarists in the biz in the 6 years since this Bogner demo was published on daTube.
Well, and he's tuned down ...
Uberschall or Triple Wreck?
Damn. I keep rewinding and laughing my ass off!
have pete thorn demo your pedals
lyle workman!
Wanted to write the same mate :D
holy shit was that a baritone 24 fret tele?
Fuck Yeah! Lyle Workman!!!!

Wow. I just popped a huge bogner.
Then there is the knock from the neighbor's wall .....then them screaming for you to ' Turn it down'....nice.
love Justin Derrico's playing, but the wah mouth has to go. Now, the guy right after him is badass! Dat groove! And he's playing upsidedown.. crazy. Doug Rappoport is always awesome too.
Bryan Almaguer lol I can't watch Derrico either. It's a bit too much but I guess he can't help it.
6:39 starts the Uber demo
sounds like phil x

1:33 dramatic squirrel?
The tele is not tuned down, it's a baritone.
Sounds great... metal face, berzerker!
Justin Derrico :')
I'd buy the pedals just based on what Reinhold Bogner looks like. He's like a cross between a Jeff Goldblum and an Italian secret agent.
in order to play guitar these days it seems like you have to tune way down
hola que tal muy buen video pero nomas como punto de vista estaria mucho mejor con unos suptitulos o con una traduccion en español, suerte y queremos mas
Im a lefty
Baritone Telecaster
0:24 Reinhold Bogner completely lost his mind!
1:35 charges my sprockets

Jerks! I was content with all my gear before this video now I've got to have
i guess his eyebrows can see better now.
Great players...!! That lefty guy is whack! Very cool. Bogner = genius.
Did you actually watch the whole video?
no tubes.
