I’ve watched A LOT of game Knights and I don’t think I’ve ever seen poor Jimmy win. He is either horrible at magic or the unluckiest dude ever. Every show he is like as long as I have one more turn I may be able To rank things up, straight to if just have one more turn I might be able To stay alive. Even when he goes From 8 life back to 42 he loses lol
I don’t even get the salt lol post is a decent player, fun to watch and great for the game. Kick rocks and touch grass if someone cool liking what you like ruins anything

I'm just getting into Magic now too, and it's been cool to meet people at my LGS (although itd be way more fun if any of my actual friends played!).

Yeah it felt like 2 vs 1 vs 1. Malone didn't exactly hide that he was helping Ladee the entire game. Neat game, but felt a bit scripted and prescribed. Magic isn't always about going after the biggest threat at the table, but also what could happen, and Ladee having 10 cards in hand every turn cycle simply isn't acceptable threat assessment.
I just did my first in-person game of magic at my local game store and LOVED it, so I'm wanting to comment on the videos of everyone that convinced me to give it a try after being intimidated by it for decades to boost the algorithm a bit as a thank you. I had no idea about the more wacky, casual side of MTG in formats like Commander even existed until I stumbled across videos like yours, and that helped me a lot in feeling like there was a place for me, too.
I've recently started learning this game through my job in disability support helping the deaf to learn and understand the game. Having a lot of fun and was suggested to watch your post malone episode for learning/entertainment purposes. And you literally posted a new video with him an hour after I finish the last one. AMAZING!
Hands down this one of best channels to learn the game. Yes mistakes might get made and yes it may seem slow for players who have played a long time but it is great how each turn/play is broken down or explained. It would be like watching any sport and have someone explain to you what’s happening the whole time. Some who know sport well may not care for it but for those who want to learn or enjoy it its worth it. And command zone does a good job.
This video got me into magic, thanks Josh, Jimmy, Lady Danger, Posey, and everyone else on the team. Not only was this episode a great one, but this got me into a hobby that makes me smile. Thank you.

How lucky am I!? I started playing Magic several months ago, and my buddy taught me commander. I remember as I was looking for beginner videos I came across the FIRST Post Malone/Game Knights episode. I tried watching it but I was too new to really follow. A couple nights ago, it popped up in my recommended videos again so I decided to take a crack at it, and wow what a game that was! I was really bummed when I found out I missed my chance at winning anything signed by Austin, but then I get off work tonight and I see this video!!! And again, what a game!!! Gotta agree, the artwork in this set is SICK. I attended my first prerelease last weekend for Kamigawa, played some sealed two headed giant, and had a blast. I am so glad I found this game, this channel, and this community. Crossing my fingers that I can win myself some signed goodies this time around!

Great Episode! The one thing I don't understand is why everyone left Ladee’s Board alone for so long. Her emberwild Captain did massive work in lowering life totals, Josh, Jimmy, and Posty would attack get monarch, then she would get it right back. at the cost of a decent portion on their life totals. It doesn't make much sense to me.

@@spudster8887 they already play turns and have events happen multiple times so they can "make everything clear" i wouldn't think it would difficult at all to script and have cuts where they talk about making plays so the "video is better".

@@reutermo Which i honestly wish more playgroups employed that kind of a rule. This is what we tend to do in my group, with the rule being that if you take more than 1 free mulligan, you can keep 7 but if you draw a god hand you have to shuffle it back
I used to play Magic casually with some work friends years ago. This is my first time watching Game Knights, and also my first time watching a recorded Magic game start to finish. I really liked this video because it was easy to follow, but it didn't drag with explanations. Also, the animations are super sick, and all the players are fun and engaging to watch. Well done video!

Much as I love Post in anything Magic(even though best with his BFF Prof), Ladee came so themed for Neon I had to root for her all the way. All the decks felt interesting too!
Indeed, its honestly kinda sad that they stopped making juicy animations on magic arena, i still reguralry whip out older cards for a spin simply for the animation.

It would immediatly have put a bullseye on his forehead. He would have dealt with the aura, then only have half his mana pool left to do other stuff with. Not enough to lock down the game. Sometimes the obvious play isnt the best one.
Trying to remove it would result in almost my entire turn AND Josh would pop it to blow another one of my permanents up. I decided to go for a shuffle effect and try to find more lands off the top for lifegain- jimmy

I was really bummed when I found out I missed my chance at winning anything signed by Austin, but then I get off work tonight and I see this video!!! And again, what a game!!! Gotta agree, the artwork in this set is SICK. I attended my first prerelease last weekend for Kamigawa, played some sealed two headed giant, and had a blast. I am so glad I found this game, this channel, and this community. Crossing my fingers that I can win myself some signed goodies this time around!

Great Episode! The one thing I don't understand is why everyone left Ladee’s Board alone for so long. Her emberwild Captain did massive work in lowering life totals, Josh, Jimmy, and Posty would attack get monarch, then she would get it right back. at the cost of a decent portion on their life totals. It doesn't make much sense to me.
Everyone: “esper sentinel is so good, we need to get rid of it!”

@@spudster8887 they already play turns and have events happen multiple times so they can "make everything clear" i wouldn't think it would difficult at all to script and have cuts where they talk about making plays so the "video is better".
@@DawnsGaurd Okay, but like why would they dedicate so much time and effort, flying people all over the country, and spending hundreds of hours total to put out scripted games? The whole 'games being scripted thing' seems sound until you put even a modicum of thought into it. Do you actively think wizards would sponsor scripted gameplay? Now, if you were to say game knights episodes aren't really representative of the kinds of games you will play in the wild, than yes i'd agree with you.

I think that have said that they let people mulligan until they have a decent hand. I have never seen anyone start with less than 7 cards.
@@reutermo yeah I know they have kind of a funky mulligan rule but I'm still curious for the reasons they keep what they keep...but also maybe they dont show to keep things surprising. I'd still like to know what they're holding lol
@@reutermo Which i honestly wish more playgroups employed that kind of a rule. This is what we tend to do in my group, with the rule being that if you take more than 1 free mulligan, you can keep 7 but if you draw a god hand you have to shuffle it back
I think they don’t show it because they put certain cards for wotc to advertise, ie ladee dangers legendary lands.
That was a Commander Clash level "friendship" move on Ladee Danger's side :D.
I used to play Magic casually with some work friends years ago. This is my first time watching Game Knights, and also my first time watching a recorded Magic game start to finish. I really liked this video because it was easy to follow, but it didn't drag with explanations. Also, the animations are super sick, and all the players are fun and engaging to watch. Well done video!

Much as I love Post in anything Magic(even though best with his BFF Prof), Ladee came so themed for Neon I had to root for her all the way. All the decks felt interesting too!

These animations are so good and there are so many of them now. Really impressive.
What's nice is they get to be re-used, so the critical mass of animations adds up.
Indeed, its honestly kinda sad that they stopped making juicy animations on magic arena, i still reguralry whip out older cards for a spin simply for the animation.

It would immediatly have put a bullseye on his forehead. He would have dealt with the aura, then only have half his mana pool left to do other stuff with. Not enough to lock down the game. Sometimes the obvious play isnt the best one.
Maybe he forgot that it was for a permanent.

my entire turn AND Josh would pop it to blow another one of my permanents up. I decided to go for a shuffle effect and try to find more lands off the top for lifegain- jimmy
